Very Nice Place To Stay

My daughter and I visited New Haven for an event she had a Yale. As usual, I was traveling on a budget and I rarely spend a lot for places to stay. This place met and exceeded my expectations. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Staff members were friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. Breakfast is served each morning at a morning time you select. The breakfast menu rotates each day so you have a different breakfast each morning, but always have fresh fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, etc. available. Bottled water, tea, and coffee are available when you want it. The location is less than a mile from campus. I will certainly stay here again when we return.

Could not be more accommodating ...Thank you!

We choose this lovely B &B as a focal point for our daughters wedding weekend. As we were traveling from out of state, my husband and I wanted something with a "home like atmosphere " creating a experience that would always be cherished as a bride gets ready. Elizabeth, the inn keeper could not be any more accommodating when I first spoke with her prior to booking rooms about our intent. She allowed us use of the elegant dinning room for a bridal luncheon and even accepted our lunch delivery while we were out. Our wedding photographer could not have been more pleased to have this charming B & B for use as the initial backdrop for wedding photographs! Thank you Elizabeth and staff....

Innkeeper Response
I was glad to have the Farnam Guest House be a part of your wedding preparations. You are a beautiful family with such a lovely daughter.

It was a wondeful home and we liked our experence except when we came back after supper and foud two electrician in our room we had to wait to get. Other rooms were not used. Knowing that we were coming, we could of been assigned to another room.

Innkeeper Response
Sorry about that repair problem. We had a sudden plumbing problem and had to take care of it immediately. Next time, we will try to call and discuss with you. Your room was the best in the house and I didn't think you would want another room. So sorry for the inconvenience.

Enjoyed Farnham Guest House

I had breakfast daily, and it was very nice. Gave me a chance to meet and talk with the other guests. The room was expensive, because it was during the Yale graduation ceremonies. My room was lovely, and the staff was very helpful.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a nice review of our guest house.

Just up the hill from Yale...

We wanted a place in New Haven to stop off on the way north, and we found a perfect one. Very nicely organized in a beautiful house. Service discrete and not overly attentive.

Innkeeper Response
Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Gorgeous little bed and breakfast!

I don't have a bad thing to say about my time here. Stayed with 2 friends to check out Yale and had a great time, everyone was perfectly friendly, breakfast was delicious and there's even an elevator to get your bags up the stairs if you need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and easily could have slept 5! Thankyou for an incredible stay!

beautiful property!

We stayed in the Eleanor Dow Suite for our anniversary, which was very reasonably priced for a 2-bedroom suite with private bath. Elizabeth responded quickly to all my inquiries, and was very helpful in recommending a local restaurant and assisted in finding horseback riding. I would stay here again.

Simply wonderful!

Going to Connecticut for Bull Dog Days was the reason for our trip, and we were lucky enough to find this wonderful Band B. What a gem! Great old house with plenty of charm and character, and being a landscaper myself, absolutely loved the grounds! Everyone was quite welcoming and the experience was most pleasurable. Would most definitely return again! Loved the classical music with breakfast! Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your home with us! Sophie

Wonderful b&b experience.
