"Great Weekend Escape!"

"We wanted to just get away. We do not ski, fish, hunt, hike, or bird-watch. We do like historical areas, good restaurants, and sites to see. We were not disappointed, and were we ever glad we stayed at the Mercantile Inn. We were welcomed like family and treated like family the entire time we were there. Kevin & his wife & son were the perfect hosts. We do a lot of traveling--domestic as well as international, and the Mercantile was one of our most positive memories. We stayed in the Charles Miller room and it has a terrific view of Mount Shasta. No snow, but who cares, we did not come for the snow. Picture-taking, that's my thing. In my business our reputation is largely based on how many customers call us back for more of our services. The same goes for hotels and motels. In our travels we do have a list of those places which we will never willingly return to for a variety of reasons. With the McCloud Mercantile Inn, though, we are already tentatively PLANNING OUR RETURN VISIT. We highly recommend this excellent destination. A+++++"
