    Marador B&B Tamarindo CR - AAA+++

    I just returned from a 2 week stay at the Mirador in Tamarindo, Costa Rica and it was incredible. This proprietors and staff, Chris, Peter, Aber, and Carlita, made me and the other guests who came and went during my stay feel like THEY were privileged to be able to care for us and our needs. The food preparations were on a par with the finest restaurants anywhere but with a welcoming homey presentation. Staff helped us arrange activities in and around Tamarindo and SURPRISE, often at better prices than were available through local resellers. Transportation to and from activities was arranged for us and always on time. And, the B&B was close enough to town to walk if we wanted. This operation was simply one of the smoothest running B&Bs I've been. But, I saved the best for last. Our upstairs room literally had a "million dollar view". That's something often advertised and just as often, dissapointing. Not here - especially when the fireworks celebrating someone's wedding lit up the Tamarindo skyline with the ocean and boats in the background. Just stunning. This is one of those secret B&Bs you wish all were like. Go, you'll be amazed.

      Mirador is located 1 hour from the Liberia International Airport (LIR). Turning right out of the airport puts you on the main road to Tamarindo and is well marked with signage. Once you enter Tamarindo you will continue on to the town center. Prior to the roundabout you will make a left turn off of the pavement and continue to the first fork in the road. At the first fork you will again make a left. You will continue until you see the Plaza del Este on your left hand side, immediately following the plaza will be a concrete road heading up hill on the left hand side of the road. Take this road approximately 300 meters and turn left on the second road on the left. Mirador is located on your left.
