We offer outstanding views of volcan Arenal (LAVA!!), Lake Arena, and the jungle. Surrounded by three National Parks, the view of the primary forest with is fauna and flora is impressive. An amazing amount of wildlife will fascinate you. The volcano’s active side is right in front of our property and continuous lava flows roll down the volcano slope, an intriguing view! However close to the volcano, we are completely out of any danger zone, yet offer the best views from a safe location. Located in El Castillo, about 30 minutes from La Fortuna, perched on a hill, at the edge of the jungle, we offer complete privacy, yet fully serviced. Enjoy a glass of champagne while relaxing in the Jacuzzi, built right in front of the volcano view. Wake up to the sound of the birds, the residence is rightfully called BIRDSONG, the rustling water sound of the waterfall, the howling of the monkeys and of course the ever going on eruptions of the volcano. When ready for some action, there is plenty to do, from adventurous tours to a relaxing. Walk to the close by water fall, take a cool dip in the water. Hot Springs, Canopy, ATV tours, River rafting, zip lines, horse back riding etc… We are overlooking the Arenal lake, known for its ideal windsurf, boating and fishing tours.

This was the best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed at. The view was amazing, breathtaking, and beautiful. It was comfortable and quiet. I loved the shower!! It is in a key location right near zip-lining, hot springs, hiking trails and shopping areas. Allan was an amazing host and provided information about everything we asked. There is nothing better than waking up and seeing the clouds over the volcano...marvelous!!

Directions from San Jose: Directions: Panamerican Highway to San Ramon, Exit when you see the sign of San Ramon and drive through the town of San Ramon, follow the signs of the volcano route , Bajo Rodriguez, La Tigra, Chachagua, La Fortuna. Pass the town of La Fortuna, continue straight until you see the sign indicating El Castillo, Our road sign of –Birdsong Villa- with our logo ,the music note, will guide you to our facility. Follow the music note!! Alternative route from San Jose : Panamerican Highway to Naranjo. Exit when you see the sign of Naranjo. As you arrive in Naranjo follow the signs to Zarcero and Ciudad Quesada. Once in Ciudad Quesada. follow the signs to Tanque and La Fortuna.
