      Take Panamerican Highway northbound direction Puntarenas. After 10 minutes, take exit 'Alajuela - Atenas - Jaco". Turn right, direction Alajuela. After 4 minutes you pass Hotel Martino at the right. 1 Minute after Hotel Martino take a right turn before the big blue sign with white letters INCAE. After 600 meters you see at the right the orange gate of 'Apartementos Palma Real' Turn left here and enter the road opposite the orange gate. After 200 meters you enter our property.

    Rooms were attractively furnished and had a fridge & microwave. She even had dvd players. The bathrooms were large, especially the walk in showers. Their website provides alot of info and advice which we very smartly followed. The landscaping is lovely and you can walk around and enjoy their property. They even had a tennis court, pool & hot tub (we didnt use these). They had a wonderful outdoor covered area for breakfast plus a bar where you could visit with other guests. They had a "netbook" sitting out where we could check emails, etc. at NO cost. We rented a GPS from them at a VERY reasonable price - they even programmed it for us. By the way, I do not recommend driving around without one. We have stayed at many B&Bs and feel that Margarita and Al are about the best hosts we have talked to, they are helpful, friendly and enjoyable. We enjoyed their cats and dogs, they were very friendly and we loved petting them. The prices they charge for the rooms are very reasonable and a good value for what they offer.

    Our hosts were wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed twice on our way in and out. Ad and Margaret were wonderful. If you need to stay near the airport definitely stay here!

    I intend to return to Costa Rica many more times before this life is over and I will always stay here on my way in and on my way out. This place and the innkeepers are terrific. You can't do much better than this. The most pleasant people on earth.

    Upon arriving at the B and B I was impressed by the vibe. In the country, surrounded by gardens, quiet, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The best points are the rooms with king sized bed, high ceilings, spacious bathroom, and the little extras that come like blow driers. They do charge for use of internet if you don't bring your own, but otherwise it is very handy to have use of GPS and/or laptops available. This B and B is out of town, so it is best if you have a rental car or are willing to use taxis and pay about $20 USD to get into Alajuela (nearest town). If you are willing to walk a bit you can use the local bus system. And there are some nice restaurants not too far away. The price is very reasonable and the hosts are kind and helpful. They can get a bit confused/forgetful with details, so just be sure to ask twice if you need something. The pool is small, so don't get your hopes up with that. But they have lovely comfy chairs to sit in the shade outside the rooms which are nice, and the eating area/bar is a great social spot. I would recommend this spot for couples upon your arrival or just before leaving Costa Rica. They are reasonably close to the airport in San Jose.

    This reviewer writes "They do charge for use of internet if you don't bring your own". Of course nobody can bring their own Internet to Costa Rica. Probably the reviewer means we charge for laptop rentals: $2 for 9-inch netbooks and $4 a day for 15-inch notebooks. But the use of Internet is absolutely free of charge. Guests carrying ther own laptop with them don't pay anything for the use of our two WiFi networks!

    This B&B is perfectly located near the airport. It is very quiet and therefore a good alternative for crowded San Jose. The staff is very friendly and relaxed. The rooms are very comfortable. Everything was perfect!
