We've travelled throughout Costa Rica - Montezuma was a great place to visit - because of the Mariposario Gardens. Nice & clean - and a great location up the hill and away from the noisy town. (awesome walk up the hill a great workout :)) Folks that run the place are amazing! Thanks to Josh, Rene, Phil & the rest of the gang for delicious breakfasts on the balcony each morning, good advice and just all round friendly chats. We highly recommend this place - you won't be disappointed!

This local dish is a favorite of the "Ticos". A rice and bean mix with fresh garlic, onions, bell peppers, salsa lizano and our own organic home grown coyote cilantro. This breakfast is accompanied with one or two eggs, fresh fruit, toast, juice and tea or coffe.
