The road is lined by the royal palms on your right and both sides are lined with hibiscus shrubs. At the end of that "alley" you'll see the Coop Victoria gas station on your right and sugar plant "Coope Victoria" on your left. Keep driving for another 100 yards. Right before the soccer field (on your left) and police station (on your right), turn left. The soccer field is on your right now. Keep driving for another minute until you arrive at a T-intersection. Make a right. Keep going up for about 7 minutes. On all future intersections go straight. Follow signs to "Villas Cipreses", which is another hotel 100 m after us. Continue straight until you see a sign saying "Mango Valley". Turn right and drive through the plantation past coffee and mango trees for 200 yards. Detailed instructions with pictures can be found on the website.

If I were to summarize my impression of Mango Valley, I'd say: nature, security, great hospitality and good sleep. I travel to Grecia/Sarchi/San Ramon several times a year. I love Costa Rica, but switching from peace and quiet of my hometown to day-and-night hustle and bustle of Costa Rican towns has always been hard for me. By the end of the week I used to be exhausted. After staying in Mango Valley I felt great and full of energy. All it took was some old fashioned good night sleep. My casita (small house) had a very nice view of the jungle and coffee fields, HOT shower and hot water everywhere, satellite TV and Internet. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed discussing pros and cons of living/doing business in Costa Rica over an excellent breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler or to any visitor who wants a nice stay in a quiet nature setting.

We were delighted to stay in this little B&B in the mountains above Grecia. So convenient, yet far away from the noise. The grounds are spectacular: hibiscus and bougainvillea blooming; lots of birds and butterflies; a small fruit garden where you can try the fruits right from the trees. It just doesn't get any better! The view from our cabin was amazing. We took dozens of pictures of humming birds. They were feeding from the bushes just off our balcony. The room was very charming and sparkling. We liked that we could use wifi Internet inside the cabin or on the balcony while enjoying coffee and, of course, the view. The breakfasts were outstanding. We were treated by owners like family, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. I would highly recommend Mango Valley B&B to anyone exploring Central Valley or coming into/leaving Costa Rica via San Jose airport.

This B&B is wonderful. The rooms are brand new, sparkling clean, and have a gorgeous view of the valley. The innkeepers, Julia and Vlad, were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived in the late evening, we did not want to drive back into Grecia so they offered to place our order for carry out and have our meal delivered. I was impressed with the peacefulness and beauty of the area. Within minutes of our arrival I was fortunate enough to see a very exotic bird from our balcony - a blue mot mot. They also served a great breakfast with tons of exotic fruits and a hearty egg, toast, rice and ham meal. I would highly recommend Hotel Mango Valley.

We were planning to stay in Mango Valley hotel for our first night, but we liked it so much that we decided to stay for 2 more nights. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Spotless room, beautiful view from the balcony (that we enjoyed oh so much with our pre-breakfast and afternoon coffee), very warm and friendly hosts, perfect weather, plus lots of things to do in the area made us believe that we indeed came to paradise! What a beautiful country! If you are looking for a small, quiet and adorable place not far from the airport, yet away from the city noise, I suggest you stay in Mango Valley.

First of all, the hosts are wonderful. We immediately became friends and I felt right at home. Grecia is an excellent place not far from the airport to stay for several days to visit Sarchi, Poas volcano, Doka coffee plantation, and La Paz waterfalls. Julie helped me plan my day trips and printed the maps that helped me a lot. Mango Valley is set among coffee fields, tropical forest, and a river. It's very peaceful and quiet, perfect place to relax after a long flight or a day trip. I highly recommend this friendly and beautiful B&B.
