Inn at Lonesome Hollow

– Soldiers Grove, WI

The Inn at Lonesome Hollow is situated on 160 rural acres in Southwest Wisconsin's Driftless Area - a rugged, hilly part of the upper midwest that was unglaciated during the last ice age. Lonesome Hollow contains a completely private valley surrounded on three sides by hills that rise 300 feet above the valley floor. Part of our property extends up onto a ridgetop and offers almost two miles of private hiking trails. We are surrounded by hardwood forest. Wildlife abounds. The Inn contains three deluxe rooms, two large two-bedroom suites, and a modern two-bedroom cabin. All units have private baths and gas fireplaces. Four units have whirlpool tubs. Our area is very rural and has a growing Amish population. It is an area of rivers, streams, and forest. Hiking, biking, canoeing, bird watching, antiquing, and Amish shopping are popular area activities. We offer deluxe accomodations in a haven of natural wonder. We look forward to sharing Lonesome Hollow and this spledid area of Wisconsin with you.

Lumber Baron Inn

– Onalaska, WI

The Lumber Baron Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1888. It has been completely renovated and restored to its natural beauty. It is listed for two reasons, first because it retains all of the original woodwork, lights, and stained glass. Second for the man himself, as he had the first mill in Onalaska. The house also has an underground water sprinkling system, and he put in one of the first combination gas machine, which lighted the home. It sets on three lots, which gives a roomy feeling. The Lumber Baron Inn also has an original Carriage House (Which needs much refurbishing) we are looking for a grant or some nice person who wants to invest in this project. Just call if you know of this person!!! The house also has the original wrought iron fence that goes all along the front of the house. The house, carriage house, and the fence are all listed on the National Registry.

Four Gables Bed & Breakfast

– La Crosse, WI

This Queen Anne home was built in 1906 by Carl and Clara Munstock with some reclaimed lumber from other buildings on the farm. It is believed that a smaller house was lived in while this very large, impressive brick home was being built. The Munstocks made their money, at the time, from strawberries. The house and farm remained in the Munstock family until 1981 when the Jorgensens saw great potential in it and set out to painstakingly restore a very deteriorated gem. What was once a 1930s apartment in the upstairs is now the three bedrooms used for the bed and breakfast plus a library. Each bedroom is artfully decorated and furnished to make not only a romantic atmosphere, but also a homey and welcome ambiance for guests. Great pride is taken in details.

"Truly Amazing"

"The room that I had, and I had my choice of all, was amazing. All were amazing. The bathrooms are so incredible I defy anyone to find a better bath in all of Lake Geneva. Easily the size of most peoples living rooms with a full Jacuzzi like tub that you never want to get out of. I don't just mean a tub that has a whirl pool function, I mean a tub that is about 5 ft. by 5 ft. that you and your significant other could easily find yourselves drifting away in. All of downtown Lake Geneva is a very short walk away, within two blocks, so anything you would like to do is very accessible. I found myself eating frequently at the Mexican restaurant located right downtown across from the movie theater, OMG that food was good! One block this way is another great restaurant and nightclub, and a couple of blocks that way is the Library, beach, lake, boats, tons of shops, Caribou, Pot Bellies, Starbucks, Champs, anything you could want is right there. "
