You have to like antiques to really enjoy the inn. The dining room was beautiful and service was good but it was the cleanliness or rather lack there of was what did it for me. I asked to have coffee ready for 7am and it was delivered to our room so really the service was good and brunch was great but cleanliness not so much...

    Outstanding Country Inn

    August 28, 2012

The Longwood Country Inn was my first stop on my road trip, and as i only found the Inn from trawling the websites for places to stay i didn't really know what to expect . I can safely say i was not disappointed from the moment i arrived i was greeted with a smile and warm conversation, the room i was provided was fabulous with all the comfort you would expect. As for the property itself it truly is a beautiful building. I would definitely recommend the Inn as a place to stay and i will be going back next year with my better half .

    Longwood Country Inn Review

    July 17, 2012

Regina, the Innkeeper, was extremely pleasant and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The only thing I would change would be the cost of the room. While I understand that the maintenance on a historic building is probably quite costly, I feel that the room charge was what one would pay to stay in Manhattan or Boston rather than a small inn in CT. The dining was superb and I would even say that we would drive the one hour just to eat there again. Overall a nice place but a bit pricey for the accommodations.

    Lovely B&B

    May 21, 2012

Only wish the dining room wasn't closed due to a private party!

    Innkeeper Response
We apologize that our dining room was closed for a private event during your recent stay with us. At times this is unavoidable, but upon the occasions that our dining room is closed during our guests' stays, we do our best to inform them in advance so they can make other plans. Especially at this time of year - with graduations, weddings, showers, and other personal celebrations - our dining room does get booked out for personal events. While we are delighted to host these private events, we do apologize to our inn guests and loyal dining customers for the inconvenience. Thank you for choosing the Longwood Country Inn and, although you couldn't enjoy our "award winning" restaurant, we hope that your stay with us was a pleasant one. Cordially, Regina

    Perfection

    February 09, 2012

Spent the night in a charming suite for a Christmas present for my boyfriend. We had an incredible dinner at the inn and were blown away by the Brunch the following morning. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to "get away from it all" without going far from home in a cozy, truly memorable setting.

    Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time for the review. We take all feedback to heart and are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the inn as well as your dining experience at our restaurant. Thank you for choosing the Longwood Country Inn! Cordially, Regina

    Charming and Cozy

    August 17, 2011

We just spent one night at the Longwood Country Inn, and we were delighted with the charming room, the spacious bathroom, the comfy bed and the entire atmosphere. The manager was friendly and helpful with directions to our destination that evening, and even offered his cell phone number in case we got lost!! We would enthusiastically recommend the Longwood Country Inn.

Great dinner, room too hot for a summer stay.

    July 31, 2011

The innkeeper gave us a different room on arrival after telling us that the AC guy had been out that day and stated the AC was working well but he thought the room we were supposed to stay in was too hot. The room we were in was nice but the temperature had to exceed 90 degrees overnight, too hot to sleep comfortably. The dinner was excellent but the breakfast was mediocre pastry that could have been purchased from Cosco, obviously not made by the same chef from the dinner before or the dessert chef. I would return for dinner but not to stay, at least not in the summer.
