The Captain Stannard House Bed and Breakfast, the Inn of Choice, is located on the Connecticut shoreline, in quaint Westbrook. Just off Boston Post Road (RT 1), we are midway between New York City and Boston, one hour from Hartford with easy access to RT 9 and I-95. It is your perfect destination in every season. It is the ideal atmosphere to explore spring love, one charming block from the beach in summer, the perfect setting to experience autumn in New England and ideal for a romantic winter getaway. Anticipate a visit to the nearby wineries, casinos, shopping outlets, theatres, museums and much more. Indulge in a massage in your room or in one of our packages or specials. We offer nine beautifully appointed guest rooms with private baths, comfortable queen beds, freshly pressed cotton linens, individual climate controls, desks and sitting areas. We welcome group events, small or large, including weddings. Our warm and inviting Dining Room can seat 35 comfortably. We live in CT but stay here when we need a break close to home. The Brewsters are wonderful and gracious, the location is close to great reetaurants, etc, the rooms are comfortable and immaculate. LOVE this inn!!

I reccommend this B & B to anyone travleing in New England. It is so quaint and all the folks are so friendly here - I loved it. I am from Texas and I felt at home!
