Description: The king size bed with antique fainting couch and spinning wheel make this one of the most popular rooms with a view of the village and the river.
Description: Lilac wallpaper makes this smaller room with a double bed very attractive, especially in May when the lilacs are in bloom outside the window. The floor is made of planks from the original Barn which housed the horses.
Description: The Old Riverton Inn Suite is a very large room with a queen size canape bed, Hithchcock table and chairs with matching bureau and desk. Antique sofa and chairs as well as a loveseat in front of the gas fireplace complete the room. A small refrigerator and bar sink add to the amenities.

The Old Riverton Inn Bed and Breakfast and banquet fqacility, was originally a stagecoach stop along the Hartford to Albany route, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Overlooking the wild and scenic designated west branch of the Farmington River and less than a mile from Peoples State Forest, the area abounds with outdoor activities including excellent trout fishing, canoeing, hiking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, biking, tubing, picnicking, and nature watching. Our dining room is open for holidays, weddings, banquets and parties of 25 or more.

Mark and Pauline went out of their way to make our stay at the inn a memorable experience. When our sons and grandchildren came to share Sunday dinner with us, even though it was towards the end of the regular serving hours, we were served delicious meals and never felt rushed. It was a lovely family reunion, thanks to the kindness of the Telfords. We will most definitely stay again when we're in CT. Fred and Carolyn Sokolik
