    Located on Route 44- Feather Hill Bed and Breakfast- is a replica of a 1936 gracious and inviting early 19th Century Circa Center Hall Colonial with French Glass Doors that open into spacious and "Luxurious Accommodations". Retaining that image we have provided many modern touches too! We are in the famed "Quiet Corner" of Connecticut. Known as "The Last Green Valley". Stroll the beauty of the Inn's eight plus acres or try the winding dirt road Airline Trail which butts up to the back of the Inn and a separate "Feather Nest Cottage", with private entrance accommodates four people. Walk the nearby Quinebaug River or spend a lazy afternoon enjoying the warm summer breezes.     My wife and I took a spur of the moment day trip to the "Quiet corner of Ct" . It was just beautiful! Visited Sharpe Hill Vineyards and after an afternoon of wine tasting we were glad we packed a bag. Made a call and we booked the last room at Feather Hill. We had never been here before and made the reservation blind. Well this inn was a gem . Fred and Angela were excellent hosts. To say the rooms were well appointed and spotless is a huge understatement. The breakfast was an edible work of art. This is obviously a labour of love by the inn keepers and they should be proud of what they have created. There are several very good restaurants in the area and Fred and Angela were very helpful in making a choice as well as a reservation. Mike and Denise Palmieri
