Located in the heart of the village of Madison on the Connecticut shoreline, The Scranton Seahorse Inn was the home of the 2005 Connecticut Designer Showhouse. The Inn is housed in the historic 1833 Greek revival home of Sereno Scranton. The Scranton Seahorse Inn offers guests the convenience of luxuriously appointed accommodations along with the charm and ambience of a historic New England homestead – a place where you can enjoy the grace and charm of earlier times amid the comforts and conveniences of today. Featuring seven guest rooms (three with jacuzzi and one with fireplace ), each with private bath, cable TV, state of the art heat and air conditioning and internet access. The Inn is conveniently located close to beaches, charming boutiques, elegant restaurants, and outlet shopping.

In addition to being a pastry chef, Michael is an avid gardner, hiker, cyclist, art enthusiast and traveler. He is a lifelong CT resident with great knowledge and appreciation for all the sights to see in CT. A foodie through and through Michael enjoys fine dining and has great recommendations for either a casual meal or one for special occaisions.

Our frittatas are made with local farm eggs and local produce the we purchase each week from Madison's Farmer's Market or pick from our own gardens. We use local cheeses from CT farms such as Cato Farms or Beltane's. Whatever the combination - it's fresh and local. Muffins, breads, and coffee cakes are baked daily on premise. You'll be asking for second helpings of our homemade granola that is sweetend by syrups from Connecticut sap trees and honey from local apiaries. Our breakfast times vary but if your plans have you on the road very early we can provide a healthy and high energy breakfast-on-the-go package for you. If you prefer to sleep in - let us know!

Our second time staying at this lovely inn right in the center of lovely Madison, CT. Breakfast was wonderful, room was clean and of a good size. Only complaint I have is that there was only a reading light on one side of the bed.

We stayed in the Madison room. I was outstanding. Spent lots of time on the porch. Breakfasts were spectacular. We are definitely retuning again in the Fall.

We stayed at the Scranton Seahorse Inn while attending a wedding in the area...on the hottest weekend of the summer. What a refreshing find the Inn turned out to be! Michael and Olive were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our visit. The Inn is very charming with many ammenities, including the use of a refrigerator, as well as coffee and tea available at all times. Wonderful breakfast scents began to waft upstairs in the morning, leading us to a delicious and varied meal both mornings. The Inn is in a perfect location to explore the seaside town of Madison and is just a short walk to the beach via a beautiful residential road. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided by the Inn. We also enjoyed an excellent dinner in an upbeat cafe (Elizabeth's) just across the street. This is a special place...thank you!

Incredible time and memories created. That is what you will experience at this perfect getaway, nestled in downtown Madison. Close to the beach, and situated downtown, but on an "off" street. A beautiful B&B - great service, delicious breakfast and an enjoyable staff. I would highly recommend this to all.
