Today, Route 7 and the Housatonic River take you to the Appalachian Trail, Lime Rock Raceway, Tanglewood and the historic summer homes and gardens of the wealthy in Lenox and Lee, Massachusetts to tour. Canoe, fly-fish or kayak the Housatonic River or walk its banks and trails.
The house features comfortable common space in the living room and dining room and five guest rooms, each with its own bath. Three rooms have queen beds, and showers in the bathrooms. Two rooms have king beds and tub/showers.
We emphasize physical and emotional comfort, the lost art of lounging around, and excellent food.

The Starbuck Inn bed and breakfast, in Kent, Connecticut, is a gracious, center-hall Colonial built by a local Kent family and run as a bed and breakfast for the past fifteen years. It specializes in hotel-level service and the warmestbed and breakfast hospitality. A top-to-bottom renovation during the spring of 2003 gave the house newly installed central air-conditioning, new furnishings, appointments and décor. Each of our five guest lodgings has a custom-built armoire, cable TV, telephone and high-speed broadband ports, Frette linens and towels, "pillow top" mattresses, and its own bath.

Due to the reason for the stay,, we only spent one night. This is our only regret. We definitely plan to return when we can stay longer and explore the area more. The Inn is lovely, Peter and his staff were friendly, caring and gracious, as was Ruby (the rescue chocolate Lab). The gardens were coming into bloom, the yard is comfortable and relaxing and the interior of the Inn is tastefully maintained. Breakfast was perfect, healthy and delicious. Thanks so much. Mr. Starbuck is a gracious host and makes you feel welcome at his Inn. I left behind some items in my room which he promptly mailed to my residence. I will stay at this Inn if I am ever in this area again.

Loved Peter's charming hospitality. Enjoyed high tea by the fire. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. We were certainly be back!

The Inn is on the small side and the common areas are largely limited to a very comfortable living room with fire place where high tea is served, and a cute dining room. The quality of the modern-but-warm decor and overall cleanliness (not to mention one of the most comfortable beds I've had the pleasure of sleeping in) made our stay at Starbuck very enjoyable. Also it is located right in the middle of Kent, a wonderful little CT town...

Peter Starbuck is the perfect host, he IS Starbuck Inn. Our room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom facilities were cramped with nowhere to put toiletries and clothes. Peter is very generous in providing afternoon snacks and drinks and a hot breakfast. The Inn is lovely and the breakfast room overlooks green lawns with colourful birds and chipmunks creating a constant source of amusement.
