    By the Sea Inn & Spa, located in the quaint shoreline town of Branford, is a quiet getaway with all the modern amenities and relaxing spa facilities. The Inn is walking distance to the area's unique shops and many choices of wonderful ethnic restaurants. A short drive brings you to the beautiful shoreline of the Long Island Sound. The 19th century house features a large fireplaced lounge with parquet hardwood floors and a cozy sitting room with cable TV. Soft relaxing music plays in the background as you escape back into another time. The Inn offers 3 lovely rooms all with private baths and A/C, with a king or queen size bed. A continental breakfast is served every morning in our sunny breakfast room or you can relax on our outside deck with your morning coffee. Relaxing spa treatments are available or you can roam in our gift shop stocked with all natural aromatherapy bath and body products.

    Had a lovely 2 day getaway for our 32 anniversary at By the Sea. Loved the room which was impeccable, the bed was very comfortable and huge! Short jaunt to downtown where we visited the Yale U art museum. The entire staff was friendly and accomodating. Loved the gift shop where I chatted for quite a while with staff and bought really cool reading glasses. Enjoyed a one hour massage that melted away all my troubles. Check out By the Sea for your next anniversary. The Sawyers, Shirley, MA

    Excellent and spotless , quiet setting:gracious service, easy connection by rail to NYC by way of New Haven. Really sweet bedroom in the style of the house and environment, old New England. A lovely and restful place to stay, with excellent dining and a handsome town just blocks away. Spa available, doing brisk business. Couldn't be better. Barkers, East Orleans MA.

    The staff was incredible, the rooms were cozy and extremely comfortable. I also had impeccable spa services during my stay which helped me relax. I highly recommend everyone who needs an escape to visit By The Sea.
