    The Mountain Goat Lodge is under new ownership since summer 2010. This classic western lodge was built in 2003 on 19 acres with stunning views of the collegiate peaks of the Sawatch Mountains. Guest rooms feature view balconies, private baths, free local and Long distance telephone, HDTVs, HBO, Showtime, WI-FI, queen beds and log furniture. Two suites offer Kingsized bed and queen sleeper sofas to accommodate families. Relax in our great room with a two-story fireplace, leather couches, grand piano and large deck. Soak in our private hot tub in the trees behind lodge. Enjoy a game of chess in our Library, or borrow a DVD to watch in your room! A truly casual, comfortable atmosphere to enjoy the rustic mountain lifestyle. Our Dairy Goats and free range chickens provide the basis for a healthy breakfast served from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. A typical breakfast includes coffee cake, omelets from our free range hens, locally produced meats, fruits, homemade yogurt, cereals, juice, freshly ground coffee and teas. Professional espresso drinks such as cappuccinos,lattes or other espresso drinks. Later, enjoy our happy hour where our guests compare notes and activities. 24 Hour self-service coffee, teas, and hot chocolate. Close to hiking and bike trails, fishing, art galleries, rafting, skiing, hot springs and horseback riding. Special skiing and romance packages available.

    Gina makes Chevre (a fresh mild tasting cream cheese) daily, and this quiche uses our goat's cheese, goat's milk, and eggs from our free ranging hens, blended with either sun dried or fresh tomatoes & fresh herbs in a crisp baked pie crust. Yum!

    Gina is a wonderful host. The rooms are impeccably clean; the breakfasts are delectable. The atmosphere of the lodge is warm and friendly -- you'll feel at home at the Mountain Goat Lodge.

    rainbow over the top--goats gorgeous--view excellant--building outstanding--evening marg. the best i have had---suggest finger food and lemonade etc. for non alchol fans in the evening---missed the cinnamin rolls you suggested--meeting locals for breakfast great--enjoyed the waterfall out our window--will probably return --cheers

    had a wonderful weekend at Mountain Goat Lodge.. what a beautiful property. Service was exceptional! Gina was so friendly and was passionate about her goats. Got the grand tour and introduction of each goat! Will definitely be back!

    Our room was well appointed and had a spectacular view of Mt. Shavano. The decor of the common areas was upper-end with lush leather sofas facing windows with a view and a towering fireplace, and antiques including a grand piano. The breakfasts were scrumptious. We look forward to returning to "the Goat" soon.

    Takes dogs! View of 4 14ers from the back deck. Inventive breakfasts. Gina strives to make your stay wonderful.
