Two Sisters Inn - A Bed and Breakfast

Nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, this Victorian Bungalow was built in 1919 by two sisters from Iowa as a boarding house for school teachers. In 1990, it was purchased by Sharon Smith and Wendy Goldstein who converted it into an Historic Presrvation Award-winning Bed and Breakfast Inn. The care that the Innkeepers have lavished on the Inn is obvious from the beautiful stained glass front door, to the restored original hardwood floors, and Manitou stone fireplace. Upstairs was transformed into four lovely guestrooms with original bedsteads featuring hand-pressed linens, clawfoot tub, and skylights. The romantic guest cottage in the back garden is complete with shower skylight, 1906 toilet, feather-bed, and gas log fireplace. Family heirlooms and photographs, local artwork, and flowers from the Inn's gardens are featured throughout the house. An 1896 piano graces the parlor along with a red velvet fainting couch and library full of cookbooks. Prepare yourself for a sensory culinary experience at breakfast - healthful and creative menus, both delicious and exquisitely presented. Manitou's Historic District abounds with art galleries, antique shops, fine restaurants, and its famous drinking Mineral Springs, the source of Two Sisters sparkling lemonade.

Valentine's Treats (Linzer Stained Glass Cookies & Chocolate Truffles) at the Two Sisters Inn - a bed and breakfast
Imagine having a playground like this in your own backyard! The Inn is at the base of Pikes Peak, and only one mile away is this beautiful Garden of the Gods and Red Rocks Park where you can picnic, hike, bike or horseback ride.Enter the cozy Cottage behind the main house by way of its private garden patio. Sleep peacefully on the featherbed in a bedroom of white wicker, cuddle up with a good book on the living room rockers by the fireplace, and soak up the sunshine and moonbeams in the skylight shower.
The creativity of the Two Sisters Inn owners is shown in this Red Box filled with Mosaic Mousse as prepared for Valentine's DayA magnificent art glass front door opens into the Living Room where you can sit by the Manitou Greenstone fireplace and be surrounded by antiques and original hardwood floors. Local artists' works are found throughout the Inn including oil paintings, sculptures, and glass lampshades.
Isn't it romantic to watch the twinkling stars through the skylight over the bed in the Floral Room? The hardwood floors, antique vanity and steamer trunk are reminiscent of the Inn's Victorian origins. Soak in the original clawfoot bathtub from the boarding house days in its private bathroom.Valentine's treats at the Two Sisters Inn - a bed and breakfast, Manitou Springs
