Was the second time staying here. We celebrated our 4th anniversary and had an enjoyable experience. When we arrived, since it was so cold, Mike suggested an upstairs room with a gas fireplace at no additional charge.(Would have been $30. more a night.) We stayed 2 nights and were never cold.Great suggestion. The view from our room was spectacular. We even saw a huge Buck walking thru the back yard and wedding area, plus lots of animal footprints, large and small, in the new snow. The breakfast basket alone is worth the price of the stay.Delivered to the door with a "shave-and-a-haircut". I'd never heard of that before but now I know. The basket was heavy with goodies.Hot,fresh muffins and an egg dish, plus fruit ,orange juice, milk. What a way to start a day!!

First time at a bed and breakfast--not sure what to expect--reserved on line based on other reviews. Everything about our stay was perfect--wish we could have stayed longer. Mike and Sally were absolutely dedicated to making our stay wonderful. Very kind, warm and friendly. The room we chose was fun and creative--down to every detail. Looking forward to returning to experience another wonderful, relaxing stay. Glenn and Donna, MN

We were extremely pleased with the room. But, the best experience during our short stay was having breakfast delivered to our room at 8:30 in a lovely basket! The food was delicious. The B&B is quiet. The host was so welcoming. The B&B was easy to find - we stopped at the Visitors' Center to get general information about Manitou Springs, looked up and saw the Blue Skies arch next door!

I discovered Blue Skies Inn many years ago, and it has become my favorite place to stay any time I'm in the Colorado Springs area. The Deep Blue suite is my favorite for when I bring my granddaughter with me - but for a romantic weekend, try the Sunset Suite. The breakfast each morning is brought right to your door in a basket you can take out for a picnic - and it's always fresh and delicious! Mike and Sally take extra care to make sure your stay is everything you want it to be. I'll be back again! and again. and again. You will not be disappointed!

This B&B was absolutely delightful! We randomly picked Blue Skies Inn from the online photos and couldn't have been more in awe when we saw our suite in person. Everything was meticulous from the artwork in the rooms to the incredibly delicious hot breakfast that was delivered in the morning in 2 big beautiful baskets. Sally and Mike were wonderful hosts and very accommodating with making our stay comfortable with our kids. You can see the pride they take in their B&B. In fact, if you ask Mike, he will take you on a tour of the grounds and give you a detailed history about the property. Seeing the different suites was like going to a museum. We will definitely return!

Blue Skies B&B is a beautiful place to say because the innkeepers have made it a very special place to stay. Each room is very charming, thanks to Sally's (the innkeeper) artwork. Plus, breakfast is to "die for", especially if you eat it in the Secret Garden. We should know because w have stayed there at least 14 times!

We stayed for 2 nights in the Indian Rock Art Room. It was very comfortable. The room was clean, and cozy. The breakfast is delivered to your door in an adorable basket, with fresh baked muffins and other dishes. We would recommend this B&B highly!

The Blue Skies Inn was the perfect choice for our honeymoon. We enjoyed our spacious suite, which was beautifully decorated. A large, hot breakfast was served to our suite every morning. The food was delicious - definitely one our of our favorite parts. The atmosphere of the B&B was relaxing and charming; it was unlike anywhere we had ever visited. We had a wonderful experience thanks to the friendly innkeepers, Sally & Mike. We are looking forward to visiting again!

Everything is perfect at the Blue Skies Inn. From the cozy sleeping chamber to the spacious and well-appointed bathroom to the intimate sitting room, the entire environment is gauged to encourage romance. Breakfast was served promptly at the requested times and was always absolutely delicious. We were married at the Inn and took advantage one of the offered wedding packages. There is one kind of couple that should take advantage of the Blue Skies Inn for a wedding...those wishing to have a well-planned, romantic wedding. Then, too, the price cannot be bettered for a wedding with 100 or fewer guests. It includes one of three beautiful wedding settings (two outdoors and one indoors), a professional photographer, all flowers, the cake, large quantities of the tastiest hors d'oeuvres you can imagine and two nights at the Inn. The only things you must supply are wedding garb and guests. The proprietors work closely with you to ensure your wedding is perfect. We more-or-less left everything to them aside from colors and music, and it resulted in a beautiful, romantic, relaxed wedding day.

For our 19th wedding anniversary, we spent the night at the Blue Skies Inn. Soon after we arrived, we met Mike who checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the property which includes ten hand-painted, uniquely designed suites. Mike proudly showed off Sally's handiwork - from the hand painted furnishings and custom tile work to the stenciling and murals which make each room its own unique tapestry. Following a relaxing and romantic night, we awoke to a hot breakfast being dropped off on our doorstep which we enjoyed in our breakfast nook. We feasted on a sumptuous spinach eggbake with fresh fruit and homemade muffins before spending some time in the hot tub and making our way back home.

We've stayed at Blue Skies twice now and can't wait to stay again. Sally and Mike are the ultimate hosts. They are constantly working to improve on perfection. Even with the long and harsh winter they are preparing for the Spring, Summer, and Fall season by redoing and fixing up things that would already seem great to most people. So inventive, artistic, and personable ways they find to make things even better. Anytime is a great time to stay at Blue Skies!

From start to finish, our experience with Blue Skies Inn was magical. We purchased one of their wedding packages, and Sally, the owner and wedding coordinator, immediately seemed to "get" our vision of the perfect wedding. She even went so far as to buy flowers for her spring garden that were color-coordinated to our wedding theme; now THAT is customer service. The cake, bouquet and our photos were all amazing, but it was in the tiny details that the quality of this place shines through: the little charms on my bouquet that matched our wedding theme, the cake and chilled cider waiting in our room after the reception, the treats on the bed when we arrived, the strawberry-scented bodywash, the fresh-from-the-oven muffins each morning, and I could go on and on. Our wedding was blissfully easy and so much darned FUN because Sally was as excited about it as we were!! Whether you plan to get married here or not, though, Blue Skies is a wonderful place to visit. We stayed in the "Blue Skies" suite, and the bed was incredibly soft (so was the carpet!) and the room beautifully decorated. We loved the tea/cocoa/cider/snack setup, the miles-long list of movies to borrow, the hot tub under the stars, the relaxing jacuzzi tub, the MASSIVE bathroom, the luxurious bedside gas fireplace, the big windows overlooking the hills outside... Breakfast is a hot egg dish, fresh-baked muffins, coffee, orange juice, and fresh fruit. It's enough food for probably four people, so if you can't eat it all that means yummy leftovers! Time after time in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding, Sally's generosity and friendliness just blew me away. I came away from the experience feeling like we'd made a wonderful new friend; and we plan to go back as often as we possibly can. I'm already missing that big fluffy bed and the jacuzzi!

My husband and I just spent our 1st anniversary at Blue Skies Inn. It was a perfect place to stay. We took a tour of all the rooms and learned about how each room is custom decorated and the walls are all painted by Sally. Each bathroom is also custom decorated and the tile-work is just amazing! Every morning you will get a full breakfast picnic basket delivered to your doorstep. This B&B is on the top of my list for places to stay in Colorado.

We found this lovely place twice and each time we were so pleased. The location was very convenient and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is vegetarian, but no less delicious and arrives in a basket outside your room. The grounds are perfect for a breakfast picnic and the pride that Sally and Mike take in their plants is very evident.

My husband and I have been here 5 times now, all in different rooms with themes. We come for Annv, Birthday, or just for a few days away alone. The rooms all have a different theme and feel to each one. The bottom floor rooms with bathrooms are really big. WE LOVE THAT! We just LOVE that our breakfast is delivered right to the door and we can eat in our room and have plenty of privacy and relaxation. The hot tub is wonderful on cold winter nights. Hubby and I treated our best friends to the deep blue room (our favorite), with a massage and they just loved it. We would recommend The Blue Skies Inn to anyone looking for a very nice quiet, romantic place to stay. We sleep so good while we are here. Sally & Mike are very wonderful nice people. We will be back again soon~ 5 stars across the board hands down.

We stayed 4 nights and hated to leave. Because this was a very special time for us, we were so pleased with the filling and delicious breakfasts, pristine and beautiful decor, and special accommodations. Our hosts could not have been more pleasant or generous!

The Blue Skies Inn is in a great location, has lovely rooms, and a nice staff! But if you stay, you HAVE to take a dip in the hot tub...that's the BEST part!
