Wild Horse Inn

Located on the first floor, the Buckskin Master Suite is as a big as the Colorado sky, yet so cozy you¿ll want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. The Buckskin features a pine four-poster king-size bed, full-size sleeper sofa, giant walk-in closet and an expansive bathroom, complete with separate shower and a beautiful, antique clawfoot soaking tub. Sheltered by walls of 400-year-old Englemann pine logs, French doors open to forest gardens, decks and hot tub. Just let us know ahead of time, and we¿ll serve your breakfast on your private deck.

Enjoy both the sunny southern exposure from the standing balcony and the spacious feeling the room offers. The room is balanced with the Wild Horse Inn's casual stylishness and is a guest favorite. A French provincial four-poster king size bed, whirlpool bath, and high ceilings complete the soothing effect.

The Strawberry Creek Room features a low, four-poster king-size bed accompanied by a pine log love seat and antique chests. Soak in the whirlpool bath or take a last look at the garden from the private balcony before you climb into your bed. The ambience of a high country, log Inn is evident in this spacious, upstairs lodge room.

The Sage Rooms private balcony overlooks the front grounds of the Wild Horse Inn - filled to overflowing with wildflowers in the spring and summer. The second-floor guestroom features a queen-size bed, whirlpool bath and vaulted ceilings. Separated from the other guestrooms by a balcony of massive logs overlooking the main entry to the living room, the Sage Room can be adjoined with the Sweetgrass Room to accommodate a larger group or family. Check in time is 4:00 and Check out time is 11:00.

The Dogwood Room invites you to sink into a sumptuous queen-size four-poster bed ¿ hand carved from native pine, complete with steps. The private balcony affords a view of the Wild Horse Inn¿s front grounds, flower-filled in spring and summer.

The Palomino Room is a light and airy room with sunny southern exposure. A queen-size bed, whirlpool bath and vaulted ceilings make this room exceptionally relaxing. Open the doors to the private balcony you¿ll smell the pines and enjoy the view of the Wild Horse Inn¿s forested grounds.

The Mariposa Cabin charms with southwest style, right down to the stained glass windows featuring a Navajo Rug design, kiva fireplace, handpainted bathroom sink and rustico pine furniture. Soak in your two-person tub as you enjoy the sunlight through the trees, then sip a cup of coffee on your covered log porch and get ready for your mountain adventures.

The Meadowcreek Cabin is a private getaway featuring a river rock fireplace, half-round picture window, and cozy reading area with forest views. The two-person tub will rejuvenate you before you sink into you plush sofa to enjoy the last of the evening light in the trees and the warmth of your fireplace.

Our Saddle Blanket Cabin bespeaks of the Old West. The same wonderfully modern amienities of a double, jetted tub and shower, microwave, small fridge, thermostat controlled heat, table setting for 2, coffee pot and hot water pot with stash of coffee, teas, cocoas and ciders. The decor is blue denim and decidedly western with an overstuffed sofa in front a gas, cast iron stove to warm the evenings. Enjoy the private front porch, munching from your own cookie jar, while watching the Rocky Mountain sunset from this high mountain valley location. The Doggie Companion package is available.
