I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Colorado. Hospitality was par excellence, breakfast was wonderful, the whole place was excellent.

Could not have asked for better! Room was clean, cozy, and romantic. Paul's wine tasting was very fun and informative, and his breakfast was gourmet for sure! Lynn was very warm and welcoming when we first arrived and was great about showing us everything we needed to know. We stayed in the Deer Trail room, which was lovely and right next to the kitchen with cookies and hot chocolate. Situated in a residential area, which I enjoyed because of the reduction in traffic noise and it wasn't that far from one of the main streets. I've stayed in Estes tons of times, but this was the best hands down. I'll never stay anywhere else.

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to have a co-worker pass on a gift certificate that she had won for a night's stay at A Mountain Valley Home. Once we made our way through the neighborhood, we were excited to see that we would be staying in not only a beautiful home, but also a calm and relaxing neighborhood, much different than other B&Bs or hotels that i have stayed in. We were immediately greeted by Lynn who was warm and welcoming to us. She gave us a tour of the property, showed us our room and made sure we had everything we needed for the evening. Not only did they have snacks and cookies throughout the vacinity, but they also have a ton of restaurant menus for us to decide on where we wanted to go for dinner in addition to a nice selection of movie rentals and games for us to play when we got back. We stayed in the Bear's Den and at first, we tried to name all the bears in our room but there were too many! The room was the perfect size for us and even though our room was adjacent to another guest's room, we never heard them once. The breakfast that Paul made was fantastic. Overall, we left feeling refreshed and rejuvinated. We had an amazing experience here and are looking at coming back very soon. Thanks, Lynn and Paul, for your sincere hospitality and kindness.

My husband and I stayed February 1, 2011. We requested the Valley View room and were offered a free upgrade to the Mountain View room. The room was as just as pictured online--luxurious and welcoming. This was a spur-of-the-moment getaway, and Lynn worked magic within an hour of our request to both get us a room and arrange massages the next morning. We toured the house, were offered wine tasting, were provided with information on local restaurants and services, and were familiarized with available snacks, drinks, hot-tub, DVDs, and computer access. Breakfast had a beautiful presentation, the food was very good, and Lynn and Paul proved to be wonderful company. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will look forward to another opportunity to visit.

This was certainly a beautiful B&B, and the food was good. We didn't feel a friendliness there, though, like we did in the four other B&B's we visited recently. I recommend that you don't book much in advance, because of the high cancellation fees. We had to cancel because of unexpected and serious dental and medical problems that had to take priority. We rebooked later, but still had to pay a $75 fee--and tax was charged on that amount too. Now I don't mind paying a cancellation fee, but I think that is excessive. Another Colorado B&B only charged $40. Overall the place was very clean, except for the hairy dust we saw behind the bed's head rail. Breakfast was tasty, and served on the deck. I wouldr recommend this B&B if you wait until the last minute to book. When you have to cancel because of serious events in your life, high cancel fees makes things a bit cold.

There are misrepresentations in the above review, and we would like our future guests to be aware of the facts. Our stated cancellation policy: With two weeks or more advance notice we are happy to reschedule your visit for any convenient date available. If rescheduling is not possible at the time of cancellation with two weeks or more prior notice, you may choose to receive a credit on account for the full amount of your prepayment (valid for six months from date of issue), or you may request a refund of your prepayment minus a $75 per suite cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than two week's notice are non-refundable. When this guest called to cancel, she was offered a credit voucher in the full amount of her prepayment, which she could have used anytime during the next 6 months with NO cancellation fee or loss on her part. She declined and requested a refund with full knowledge of the $75 cancellation fee. Four days later she emailed to question the fee. Because we aim to please, we offered a $50 credit if she were to rebook within 6 months. She did this, and was given a $50 credit toward her suite rental as promised. Therefore, the actual cancellation fee paid was only $25, not $75 as stated in her review. Additionally, there were no taxes charged on her cancellation fee. Itemizations of all charges were emailed to this guest, which resulted in a “thank you” response from her! We try very hard to be sympathetic and accommodating in cancellation situations. Our intent is to minimize stress as well as monetary losses. Therefore, in light of this situation, we have changed our policy to include a 10% cancellation fee, rather than a $75 flat fee. This will insure fairness to guests and us. We warmly welcome every guest to our Inn, and treat all with respect and kindness. To say that we were unfriendly is just baffling! It is unfortunate that these guests view their stay with us as less than enjoyable. We wish them the best!

The house and rooms are very nice. Jacuzzi in the room was neat. However, when you shell out around $230.00 per night you kind of hope to be welcomed in a somewhat friendly manner. Then again, this was close to a average price for B&B's in the area. The wine tasting was enjoyable but make sure you have some cash on hand as a tip is strongly encouraged. After reading rave reviews of the breakfast, I was disappointed to discover that it was only average. It looked pretty, but I'm more into taste than presentation. Overall it was ok, just overpriced for what I experienced.

We held our small wedding ath Mountain Valley. What a wonderful, stress free and beautiful experience. Paul and Lynn are terrific. Their B&B was terrific-We all felt like royalty-the sheets were even fabulous. The breakfasts were almost too pretty to eat! They were delicious. We used the great room and BBQ for our wedding dinner - just awesome! Everything was taken care of-personalized ceremony, cake, pictures, private rooms, fun, and happy tears. Thank you Lynn and Paul so much for everything. Everyone had an awesome time! We'll be back!

For us, the greatest part of staying at a B & B is getting to know the innkeepers and the other guests. Lynn and Paul run a first class establishment and are very gifted in the "getting to know you" department. We enjoyed a wonderful Colorado wine tasting with several couples on one evening of our stay in their beautiful tasting room. Sometimes people just "click" for whatever reason but we really believe that this couple would put anyone at ease no matter what their interests or background. That is what truly makes a stay at a Bed and Breakfast a memorable experience. Of course, the lovely rooms, complete with a salt lick outside the window to attract wildlife who just might peek in your window at eye level; the excellent food, the gorgeous area and the resident doggie, Miss Jazz all added to an overall lovely 3 days! Don't miss it!

My wife and I traveled there, from Michigan, for our wedding, at the Mountain Valley Home with Paul conducting the ceremony on April 1st, 2009, and enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at the Inn. Lynn, Paul and Jazzy were all fantastic hosts, the food and accomodations were wonderful, and my wife and I feel we gained 3 great friends in Estes Park. We highly recommend this inn for any occasion. We most definitely plan to return there.

My wife & I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of May, just before the tourist season began. As a result, we had the place all to ourselves, and had a great relaxing time. We stayed in the Elk room, which includes a jacuzzi, a king size bed, and a washing machine. The room was nice and clean, and we enjoyed watching TV in the common living room. Breakfast was made by Paul every morning which was great. Paul & Lynn & Jazzy were all nice and friendly, and overall we really enjoyed our experience at the Mountain Valley Home.

This was a fantastic place to spend our first anniversary! We received a gift certificate which covered our room, then we added on a romance package that was perfect! (Chocolate from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and champagne)! Our hosts were wonderfully helpful and breakfast was fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

As guests we were not only pampered but availed ourselves of genuine and honest local insight on many topics to fully enjoy the Estes Park area and all the wonderful nature experiences it provides. Unlike many establishments, the website accurately depicts both the Inn and the exquisite food you will enjoy. Every day is a new culinary adventure, with any necessary accommodations made for special dietary restrictions. You can taste and feel the pride this wonderful family provides to all their guests. The casual interactions with Paul as he cooks breakfast along with conversations with Lynn, Kyle, and other guests start each day as a new adventure. Our family includes twin sons in their mid twenties and their parents so the views expressed here represent a wide range of ages and perspectives. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at this upscale B&B.

My husband made reservations at this B&B to celebrate our 10-Year Anniversary. Lynn and Paul were very gracious hosts and went beyond our expectations in providing a very memorable experience. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The gourmet breakfasts served on their covered veranda were unbelievable! We were so sad to see our weekend coming to an end that we made a reservation to celebrate our 10 & 1/2 Year Anniversary there! We didn't want to wait a whole year to feel that pampered and relaxed again. --Trish & Jack

I just want to say that Lynn and Paul do an amazing job at their B&B! They are great hosts and the atmosphere is wonderful. We've seen this place in the summer as well as the winter, and the decorations and ambiance are very warm and inviting. Lynne can really make a place feel like a home while Paul is a top-notch chef and his food and presentation are both wonderful. I would recommend this B&B to anyone and everyone!

I have stayed at several B&B's in Estes Park and other various small towns in Colorado. This Bed and Breakfast is by far the best I have ever stayed at, not only are Lynn and Paul the most cordial people they know how to run a beautiful home. I have stayed here a couple times and will be going back for a 3rd. The wine tastings are wonderful since Paul knows his wine! Best of all they are all from local Colorado wineries. I have a wonderful time staying here, it’s always very quiet, and the rooms are so romantic and comfortable.

We checked in at a different property and found the conditions awful, so we asked a friend to find a place with vacancies and we called and scheduled two nights for 200 a night. We saw the house and took it. We paid a little extra for the downstairs room because we thought we would have some privacy. There were 2 other couples staying there and they were both eating their dinner and going back and forth in the hot tub all night making a lot of noise. The bathroom and the room was extremely well kept except for a few hairs underneath the toilet. Lynne was very nice and cordial as was Paul. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. We stayed in 3 bed and brekfasts on our trip and this breakfast was the worst. One thing that irritated me was the wine tasting. Lynne told us that there was free wine tasting as part of our stay, but when we got there she said that she was sure we didn't want any today. The next day we had to hurry back to make the wine tasting because Paul said it was at 5pm instead of asking us what time we would like it. Overall the experience was good but a little overpriced
