Mad Creek Bed And Breakfast

Back in the 1860's the hearty settlers came to Empire for the great wealth underground. We are here today for the wealth found around us, here in the majestic Rockies. At over 8600 feet high, Empire's picturesque star-shaped mountain valley is conveniently located within minutes of some of the best that Colorado has to offer. There are 6 different ski areas within one hour. Only 42 miles west of Denver, Empire and the surrounding Historic communities of Georgetown, Silver Plume, Idaho Springs, and Central City are living visions of a colorful mining past. This is also a climbers paradise as three of the 14,000 feet high peaks, Mt Beardstadt, Torreys, and Grays are all within minutes away.
