The Rochester Hotel and Leland House Bed and Breakfast feature two beautifully restored historic buildings, located just one block off Main in the heart of downtown Durango. We offer 27 distinctive rooms including 6 suites with full kitchens and gas fireplaces. Aside from our prime location with free, on-site parking, a lovely courtyard and a knowledgeable, friendly concierge service, we also serve a complimentary full gourmet breakfast, waitress-served and made fresh every morning. Tea and homemade cookies are served every afternoon.

We were the first to stay in their newly renovated, 1 bedroom apartment adjacent to the Rochester, two blocks from College and Main Street. It is tastefully decorated, combining some historical flooring, doors and windows with more modern bathroom fixtures and furnishings. Substantial built-in shelving and cabinetry make this a comfortable retreat for a day or a month. The full-time office staff, loaner bicycles wine bar and breakfast give the traveler needed services and local information. Kitchens in both the apartment and the Leland are well equipped and clean. Highly recommended.

After a long 500 mile journey thru the HOT deserts of Utah, we pulled into Durango and up to the Hotel. Right downtown, easy access, great welcome service, place to park the bikes in back, and very special atmosphere greated us...it was late in the evening, and we only had to walk across the street to the Cypress Cafe to have a wonderful meal on the patio, with light live music! Bkfast was excellent, and one immediately gets the feeling of wanting to stay here a day longer, meander thru town, and come back and enjoy the patio/trees and quiet/calm atmosphere of this Inn....a definate for my list in the future. Price is commensurate with the town's other lodgings and worth every penny!
