Denver is known for its hospitality and friendliness, both of which you will find at The Queen. We are located within walking distance of several retail and dining outlets, with several options for cultural diversity. Also offering a rich history and plenty to do, our community has attractions for young, old, and everything in-between. Built in 1879 and 1886, the Queen Anne was originally occupied by the Tabor family. The doors were opened to the public in 1987, when the Queen Anne became the first urban bed and breakfast in Denver. Conveniently located within minutes from downtown, we manage to keep a calm and peaceful environment as the city springs into high rises around us. Benedict Fountain Park is located directly across the street from the B&B, creating an open, natural, space. Both the Queen Anne and the park form an oasis of peace in the middle of a rapidly developing and happening city. The comfort of our guests and support of our community are our top priorities. We are actively aiming to become a zero-waste property in which everything is recycled, re-used or composted to reduce our impact on our environment. The Queen Anne experience refreshes the spirit, instills well-being, satisfies our guests, and supports the Denver community.

4.0 out of 5Fabulous experience in the heart of Denver
May 07, 2013
As a frequent business traveller and sustainability professional, I try to walk the walk by choosing lodging venues that are committed to sustainable operations and that are locally owned. This is not always easy, and I was thrilled to discover the Queen Anne B&B, which not only met my lodging preferences, but exceeded my expectations for hospitality, comfort and environment. What a classy joint! When I arrived, I was very pleased with the accommodations -- fabulous interior decoration that nods to the Queen Anne era, but has a very contemporary flair. Not the dusty, overly cluttered "ye olde country B&B" feel to it at all. The first thing you see is a great quote by Wendell Berry on the wall. Fabulous colors and details, but very soothing and not overly cluttered - great wood floors, furniture and ambiance. The art and furniture -- particularly the fabulous hand-made round table in the dining area -- were gorgeous and inviting. From what I understand, it was hand-made for the dining room by local artisans. The staff was so warm and friendly -- I felt very welcome and sensed that everyone there really cared about my experience and about the B&B. I would definitely stay there again -- clean, great service, fair value (Denver lodging isn't cheap), and fabulous food. Overall, a nice home away from home and a great alternative to generic hotels.

Fantastic service from the start on the phone; super accommodating with switches in reservations ahead of time. The property and space were enchanting and the service superb. I had the privilege of Sara and Milan's bfast's and they are not to be missed! Talk about value, healthy options, and pleasing presentation! I fell in love after the first bfast and plan on returning when I'm in Denver again! Square footage is great in the rooms which are clean comfy. A+

4.6 out of 5The Queen Anne B&B Rocks
April 21, 2013
A very pleasant place to stay in Downtown Denver. The owner, Milan, and other staff are wonderful, and the breakfasts are an outstanding way to start the day. It is about 3/4 to a 1 mile walk to the Convention Center, and 3 blocks to the light rail which goes directly downtown to the Convention Center. If it is spring (March & April), I recommend bringing boots, even if the weather forecast doesn't indicate they are needed.
4.4 out of 5Lovely lovely lovely
April 16, 2013
I closed out a two-week road trip at this B&B, figuring it would be a nice change of pace from the typical hotels I'd been staying in. It was a huge breath of fresh air. The rooms (or at least my room) are sizeable and relatively quiet, and the staff is exceedingly helpful and friendly. I ended up spending more time in my room than exploring Denver; that's how enamored I was with this place. Definitely stay here!
4.4 out of 5Good for a business trip
April 16, 2013
This was a nice place to stay. I booked late for a business trip, and wasn't able to stay in any of the normal hotels, so I was lucky to find them. I ended up in one of the artist suites because the remainder were booked up, artist suite 2 to be exact. The decor is aging a little bit, but the bed was very comfortable. They could stand to throw a fresh coat of paint on the walls and fix up some baseboards and other odds and ends, but nothing was malfunctioning. Breakfast was great. Seems all vegetarian, and I am definitely a meat eater, but I didn't miss it. They set out a few bottles of wine and some cheese each night. Wine was nice, the cheese isn't anything special but its free so its hard to complain. I would stay again for sure.
3.8 out of 5Would choose this charming B&B again!
April 03, 2013
We stayed two nights for a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. In the past we have stayed in downtown Denver hotels. But having tired of that, we searched for something with more charm and more personable. This was the perfect choice. Great location near downtown and near the emerging fun districts outside of downtown. The houses are from the 1800s and are a perfect setting. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the happy hour was very nice touch. The owner and staff are pleasant and friendly, and we enjoyed meeting other guests. To top it off, this is a very eco oriented business that focuses on sustainable practices and local products
