Denver is known for its hospitality and friendliness, both of which you will find at The Queen. We are located within walking distance of several retail and dining outlets, with several options for cultural diversity. Also offering a rich history and plenty to do, our community has attractions for young, old, and everything in-between. Built in 1879 and 1886, the Queen Anne was originally occupied by the Tabor family. The doors were opened to the public in 1987, when the Queen Anne became the first urban bed and breakfast in Denver. Conveniently located within minutes from downtown, we manage to keep a calm and peaceful environment as the city springs into high rises around us. Benedict Fountain Park is located directly across the street from the B&B, creating an open, natural, space. Both the Queen Anne and the park form an oasis of peace in the middle of a rapidly developing and happening city. The comfort of our guests and support of our community are our top priorities. We are actively aiming to become a zero-waste property in which everything is recycled, re-used or composted to reduce our impact on our environment. The Queen Anne experience refreshes the spirit, instills well-being, satisfies our guests, and supports the Denver community.

4.2 out of 5Wonderful B&B
June 18, 2013
This is a nice urban B&B with the feel of the country. It is across the street from a park and has a beautiful garden in the back. The innkeepers are nice and friendly and take you on a tour of the house before checking in to give you the history of the house, which just adds to your stay. We will definitely be back.
4.4 out of 5Our choice for Denver downtown
June 10, 2013
As everyone says, location is important, especially if you want to leave the car parked in order to sample a microbrew while watching a baseball game. We walked everywhere we needed to go in the downtown area.. We needed a room at a time when a huge convention was taking place and hotels downtown were booked up. The inn had only one room available: the Oak Room, and we had the impression that the other rooms were more desirable. The Oak Room is small but it was clean and comfortable. Even though it is located next to the dining room and public area, it was quiet. The delicious and filling breakfast is served at a large round table, and you can be as talkative or as quiet as you please. Milan took the time to show us the garden and there are several tables for two when weather permits. Parking is included in the room price, and is directly behind the inn. To sum it up: it's a Victorian, so the rooms are varied in size and amenities (if having a TV is important to you, make sure you specify this). The Queen Anne certainly outshines the cookie-cutter chain hotels in the area. We'll be back to sample the other rooms.

4.8 out of 5A real find for staying near downtown Denver
May 26, 2013
The inn-keepers provided great recommendations to finding the local gems on dining and entertainment. The complimentary breakfasts were prepared from local ingredients by the chef on-site in the B&B tradition, and an afternoon wine and cheese affair with the other patrons was a welcome event to come back to after a day on the town. Certainly an experience that would have been missed at the Marriott or Hilton, and one that made my trip really special.
5 out of 5Fabulous Stay at Queen Anne B&B!
May 16, 2013
We stayed one night in the "Rooftop" room and loved it! But, we really wanted that room for the private hot tub (which was worth it). However, if you aren't set on an outdoor hot tub, I would go for the "Aspen Room"...very unique or the Local Artist Suite 2. We did not see all of the rooms but the Oak Room is the least interesting option on the property. The only downfall of our room was that the shower had a slanted wall, so it was a bit tough to use comfortably, especially for my husband who is 6'1". The breakfast was delicious as well as the complementary happy hour. And, Sarah was especially helpful with so many aspects of our stay. I definitely recommend this place.
4.0 out of 5Fabulous experience in the heart of Denver
May 07, 2013
As a frequent business traveller and sustainability professional, I try to walk the walk by choosing lodging venues that are committed to sustainable operations and that are locally owned. This is not always easy, and I was thrilled to discover the Queen Anne B&B, which not only met my lodging preferences, but exceeded my expectations for hospitality, comfort and environment. What a classy joint! When I arrived, I was very pleased with the accommodations -- fabulous interior decoration that nods to the Queen Anne era, but has a very contemporary flair. Not the dusty, overly cluttered "ye olde country B&B" feel to it at all. The first thing you see is a great quote by Wendell Berry on the wall. Fabulous colors and details, but very soothing and not overly cluttered - great wood floors, furniture and ambiance. The art and furniture -- particularly the fabulous hand-made round table in the dining area -- were gorgeous and inviting. From what I understand, it was hand-made for the dining room by local artisans. The staff was so warm and friendly -- I felt very welcome and sensed that everyone there really cared about my experience and about the B&B. I would definitely stay there again -- clean, great service, fair value (Denver lodging isn't cheap), and fabulous food. Overall, a nice home away from home and a great alternative to generic hotels.
