Great B&B in the heart of downtown Denver

4.6 on April 22, 2015

This B&B has been one of our favorites for the last several years. We love its location to downtown Denver. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious! Overall a great place to stay and explore Denver.

Overall 6 out of 10

2.6 on April 10, 2015

My husband and I stayed in the Rooftop Room. The view was fantastic but the room was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, and definitely didn't seem worth all the money.

Queen Anne B&B Excellent Choice

4.4 on April 08, 2015

My wife and I stayed at the Queen Ann B&B several years ago and returned because of the previous good experience. We were not disappointed. Great venue within walking distance of many amenities. Excellent time. We will return.

The Chefs were out of this world!!

3.4 on April 06, 2015

Our room,The Aspen was very quaint and well kept. Unfortunately,we couldn't get the air to work and there was a small glitch with a carbon monoxide detector. On an upside, our Chefs were outstanding, I would rate it 5 stars on the food and our Chefs!!! It was nice meeting other guests during breakfast and getting to know everyone.

A great stay at Queen Anne!

3.8 on March 25, 2015

I had a really nice time. The Queen Anne was easy to find and within walking distance of the city centre. Clean rooms and a great food.

Must Stay

4.4 on March 25, 2015

Let me clarify, the 3/5 for food was because the kitchen was being reno'd and we got the same breakfast 2 days in a row which was tasty, but a little light and not as good as I thought it would be. That being said- WOW! What a cool place! It is a great combo of old roots with the right modern touches and they attract a diverse crowd and allow for you to meet new people or stay unseen (we did both). If you book a room get one with a hot tub. In life, if you can have a hot tub it is your duty to take that. The staff was amazing. I wish our timing lined up a bit better so we could have had the food experience there, but I have no doubt that the staff will kill it with their new toys in the kitchen. Overall, 9/10

Hospitality in the Heart of Denver

4.0 on March 17, 2015

This is a very nice property located in an urban location, not far from the center of downtown Denver. It is a great alternative to all the big chain hotels that are close by. It is a great place from which to walk to central Denver and /or drive to the mountains seen in the distance (Rocky Mountain National Park highly recommended as a day trip). The staff is friendly, but not a bit intrusive, and seems willing to provide assistance when needed. Rooms are are of varying size, with wonderful (and unusual) decor, spread out among the two side by side buildings. Definitely worth spending a couple of days to enjoy the Inn and all that the surrounding area has to offer.

Wedding Night

Perfect warm place for our winter wedding night. Delicious waffles for breakfast. Inspiring commitment to more sustainable hospitality.

My sister and I had planned a fun downtown Denver night at Howl at the Moon. When I saw this deal, I thought, why not? I did not expect to be so wowed by the service and charm. Both the social hour and breakfast were fabulous! A veggie scramble with fresh ingredients, savory strawberries, and yummy bread with awesome jam. Coffee rocked my socks too. It was a neat experience and so refreshing talking to the other patrons in the evening and morning. Oh, and the room!? Bed was extremely comfy, the shower had Jason brand shampoo, etc, and the mural in the room was breathtaking (Aspen Room on the third floor, HIGHLY recommend). We had a hard time leaving and I definitely will return.

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast

4.4 on February 05, 2015

Our stay was very enjoyable and the bed quite comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

A Great B&B Experience

4.8 on January 27, 2015

My daughter and I spent one night at the Queen Anne B&B while she was in the process of moving out of Denver. The Inn was lovely, very tasteful and interesting decor and history. Our room was very comfortable, but a little warm even though it was very cold out so make sure the windows can be opened easily. Breakfast was delicious and the owner was delightful. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Wonderful experience!

4.6 on January 22, 2015

I would highly recommend Queen Anne! Its best feature is the people who own and work here. Very warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Fantastic stay

5 on January 16, 2015

Lovely room (Artist suite 1), extremely friendly and accommodating staff that makes you feel right at home, and delicious breakfast. Will definitely be back! I love everything about the Queen Anne.

We just came home from Denver where we were for Christmas. The Queen Anne will always be our home away from home when we travel there again. Warm, inviting and so friendly. The rooms are beautiful and the food is so great.

4.6 on December 19, 2014

Great experience! Wonderful location, quiet yet close to downtown LODO Denver. The food was terrific and wonderful inn keepers at this turn of the century establishment. Props to Milan and family~!

I took my partner for her birthday. What a wonderful old Victorian it was.....the inside was beautiful. We stayed in the Fountain room which faced a park. The room was a suite and very roomy. The only downside was the Jaucuzzi tub/shower which we had difficulty getting into it was very high and not easy to step into it. It was a bright sunny room. Queen Ann is a 10 minute walk to the 16th street mall and it was very enjoyable walk. The staff was very nice and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was excellent. We want to come back in the summer to see the vegetable garden and experience the food created from it. I would recommend the Queen Ann for a great Denver experience, the history of the house and Denver.

Wonderful Stay!

4.0 on November 24, 2014

The Queen Anne B&B was a great alternative to a chain hotel while in Denver for a work conference. I highly recommend the B&B for an enjoyable stay while in downtown Denver.

Another wonderful stay at the Queen Anne!

5 on November 24, 2014

We keep coming back to the Queen Anne and consider it our Denver home away from home. Once we find a place that is consistent in comfort, hospitality, location and delicious breakfasts, we become loyal and return time after time. We don't consider any other place when we travel to Denver.

A revival in the world of B&B's

4.6 on November 23, 2014

My stay at the Edwards House was exceptional. My girlfriend and like to stay at bed and breakfast for their intimacy, uniqueness and usually good locations. The Edwards House was no exception in those areas, it met them all. How it exceeded expectations is in the plushness of the rooms, the professionalism and friendliness of the innkeeper and chef and the vibe of the whole house itself. This is a very hip place, a new age b&b. I will definitley be staying there again when I visit Fort Collins.

love love love the Queen Anne Bed and Breakfast!

5 on November 12, 2014

My boyfriend and I stay ed for the weekend in August and fell in love with everything the B&B had to offer. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff and beautiful atmosphere. We are dying to come back! Ro and Matt, Princeton New Jersey

Lovely B&B

4.4 on November 10, 2014

The Queen Anne is a very clean charming B&B. We stayed one night in the Tower Room with our son and the folks there were very pleasant. The wine and cheese happy hour was very nice and we sat outside in the garden area. The breakfast was wonderful and the chef was able to accommodate our dietary requests. Waffles were on the menu, but we asked for some protein and were served a delicious quiche. We would most certainly stay at the Queen Anne when we visit Denver again.

Charming Old Victorian House

4.6 on November 09, 2014

Have stayed at the Queen Anne several times and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small but cozy and romantic. Breakfast is hearty and the table conversation with other guests always interesting. Will definitely stay here again.

4.6 on November 07, 2014

Excellent breakfast, amazing room, beautiful building!!!

Delightful stay.

3.8 on October 31, 2014

This is the first time we tried a B&B in a large city and I think it will be the last time we'll stay in an impersonal hotel! The Queen Anne was delightful and felt very personal - a home away from home. Every staff member was exceptionally friendly and it felt like they were welcoming you into their home. The breakfast was exceptional - home cooked waffles with fresh fruit, in addition to the already excellent 'standard fare' of bakery goods. We can definitely recommend it.

Excellent Accommodations

5 on October 29, 2014

Our group of five in three different rooms all enjoyed the best B & B experience we've ever had. The breakfasts were outstanding, as was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. It was a perfect place to stay over a long weekend.

A great downtown property.

4.0 on October 28, 2014

The breakfasts were sublime: fresh ingredients and delicious!!! The staff was especially helpful in making restaurant dinner suggestions. Parking was tight but manageable. The rooms were charming and the bed quite comfortable. Our party of five stayed 4 nights and look forward to returning.

I'm definitely going to return!

4.6 on October 28, 2014

I was only there for one night, unfortunately, but that was sufficient to get a sense of the excellent service and quality of the bed and breakfast. My bed was so comfortable. The house is gorgeous with so much light, and such a positive vibe, which is very important for me. The owner is very friendly. I can't wait to be back for a longer stay!! Totally worth the price! There is a shuttle that takes you to the airport!!! The only reason my dining score is low is because I didn't have time to eat. You need a N/A option! ;)

Thank you Queene Anne!!

5 on October 24, 2014

We spent a long weekend here in Denver from San Francisco and we absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Park room which had some great antique furniture and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very spacious and clean as well!! Each morning we enjoyed a wonderfully prepared breakfast as we chatted with other guests and staff. The staff is very warm and friendly and will certainly do anything they can to make one's stay comfortable. The inn is conveniently located near downtown and the hip Five Points area. Coors Field is within walking distance as well. We highly recommend Queene Ann Bed & Breakfast to anyone staying in Denver!!

Queen Anne B&B Denver

3.2 on October 21, 2014

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B. The room was a bit outdated but the balcony and hot tub were great. The people were fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast was a bit below expectations. We are used to a full breakfast at a B&B. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice stay

4.0 on October 16, 2014

Only stayed for one night, so can't attest to too much, however, it was a very nice B&B and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were unique (because of the differing art work), clean and comfortable. I also really enjoyed their breakfast!

Outstanding romantic stay

3.8 on October 14, 2014

My wife and I shared our anniversary here at the Queen Anne B & B. We loved the roof top room with the hot tub outside enjoying the stars, the city lights and the cool autumn air. The breakfast was wonderful, the history of the building provided by Val to us was informative and interesting. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable stay. Welcoming staff who are knowledgeable of the area. Excellent breakfast. Very impressed with the use of fresh vegetables from local garden.

B&B for the 21st Century

4.8 on October 06, 2014

My husband and I could not have enjoyed our stay at the Queen Anne more. The unique atmosphere of the traditional B&B along with contemporary decor and exception food and service, combine to make it a place we would gladly stay on any visit to the Denver area. We also had the pleasure to stay in a regular room and a suite and enjoyed both immensely. The close proximity to travel destinations in town, shops and restaurants within walking distance, as well as major highways, was also a plus. Two thumbs up all around!

The Queen Anne is a gem!

5 on October 06, 2014

I recently spent two nights at the Queen Anne, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was beautifully appointed, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the local wines and cheeses in the evening. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location very convenient for any events in downtown Denver. I would highly recommend staying at the Queen Anne.

wonderful b&b

This is an oasis. A wonderful b&b. Fantastic setting and great people. Thanks for a great holiday.

Great Stay in the Big City!

4.0 on September 15, 2014

We stayed three nights at Queen Anne while visiting the Denver. The location is in the downtown area but not right smack in the middle which was great for getting around. Free, off-street parking was a great amenity. It truly felt like staying over at someones home as you were welcomed upon arrival, given a tour of the property, and overall felt very peaceful while there. The eco-friendly trend was evident and welcomed. They had access to hot tea 24/7, an evening happy hour of wine, Colorado Cheeses, and crackers, and filtered water you could take to your room in glassware. Breakfasts were delicious as we had vegetable quiche, garden vegetable scramble, and Belgian waffles with blueberry compote as our respective meals each of the mornings. We stayed in the Skyline room which was spacious and had a great view out over the garden area to the rear. The garden was very pleasant and you easily could forget you were int he big city. Many beautiful flowers all about with three or four patio tables and chairs you could enjoy breakfast, the company of your companion, or drink your wine and play a game. Being just off the city center kept things quite and peaceful. The large dining room table aided in spurring pleasant conversation amongst fellow guests. Our room had a whirlpool tub/spacious shower. I asked a few questions of the manager and they were very able and willing to provide me great directions and recommendations. I look forward to visiting Denver again and staying at Queen Anne B&B.

Treat Yourself Royally at Queen Anne

5 on September 13, 2014

I probably shouldn't have given it such a good rating in case I'm back in the Denver area, but I have no complaints. We came in late afternoon and just in time for their happy hour all laid out for us (or at least felt like it). We were upgraded to a better room which was appreciated since the original room was outside the dining area. Our new room was spacious, and the king size bed was neither too firm or soft. The bathroom was clean and recently refurbished. The location was good and the main downtown center was a walk away. I guess the only thing I could say was the TV reception was lousy and I was forced to only 1 channel of late night TV to unwind to. Breakfast the next morning was belgian waffles with fresh fruit, and I do mean actual fruit you can see unlike restaurants. A bounty of bananas, blueberrys and raspberrys were heaped on the waffle. Besides the waffles they also had a spread of coffee, juices and various baked goods and fruit. Atmosphere was calm, upscale and artsy. Good stuff all the way around!

unique b&b

4.4 on September 13, 2014

We had a great time, very nice b&b with great amenities and even better service! Tina was an amazing host with excellent recommendations for night life. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the Denver area. Eric and Ashley

A B&B with a Personality and Greenery in Downtown Denver

5 on September 02, 2014

My room was spacious and appropriately furnished (I stayed in a suite). Service was gracious and helpful. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. WiFi worked and I was able to leave my bags at no charge after checkout. I would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in/near downtown Denver who wants a break from the bustling corporate hotel scene...it felt like I was on a vacation when I was here on business. Definitely recommend!

Rooftop Oasis

4.2 on August 30, 2014

We stayed in the Rooftop room, mostly because we wanted the private hot tub on the deck just outside the room. The view was amazing. The room itself was quite small but comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. The breakfast was lovely; we ate in the outdoor garden area.

Loved our stay!

5 on August 26, 2014

My daughter and I had the privilege of staying in Artist Suite #4 and absolutely loved, loved, LOVED the layout and the way it was decorated! Our stay was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the food was beyond what we expected! We enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard and the chef came out with a map of all of the herbs and flowers that were growing all around us, after we had inquired about a few. We had a lot of fun identifying all of them! It is refreshing to know that we were staying in a "green" B&B and that many of their herbs and vegetables are used in the meals they prepare. We will definitely be staying at the Queen Anne again! :)

What a GREAT idea

4.6 on August 25, 2014

The Queen Anne was a wonderful place to stay, and relax, after long meeting days at the Denver Convention Center. The attention to detail and friendly hospitality were far more than I expected, and the bed was really comfy too

Always a Great Place - The Queen Anne B&B

5 on August 23, 2014

We love to stay here - great rooms, a delicious breakfast, and we meet people from all over the world.

A gem in the heart of Denver

5 on August 18, 2014

If you love the downtown experience Denver has to offer with everything from crazy architecture, performing arts, to fine dining in Larimer square but still want to come home to a cozy but modern place in the evening, this is the place for you! Amazing service, stellar food complete with a garden containing over 25 varieties of edible flowers, you will not be disappointed. And don't forget our favorite, happy hour from 5-7 with free wine and orders, best enjoyed on the front porch with a view of the park across the street. After trying many bed and breakfasts in the area, this is definitly our favorite!

a wonderful place

3.8 on August 15, 2014

Beautiful house, well located in Denver. Staff extremely wellcoming and helpful. Breakfast fabulous (could not quote dining, since no dining, but nice wellcome drinks at 5:30 pm). A little expensive overall.

4.0 on August 13, 2014

overall, the Queen Anne is lovely and was ideally located for my stay. The only downside, is the walls are thin and the guests above me took extensive late night showers that kept me up. Otherwise, everything was great. Be prepared for no TV.

We loved the location it was close to everything in Denver. Their breakfasts were awesome and staff was kind and really helpful.

Class act

3.2 on August 06, 2014

Very nice b & b downtown, quiet and elegant in a pretty neighborhood. Close to things to walk to. Happy hour very generous with good cheese and hot apps and wine. Breakfast lovely. Rooms and grounds all kept up very nice. Staff all friendly and helpful. A good respite in the city.

a very nice place to stay

4.0 on July 31, 2014

The Queen Anne B&B is an absolutely lovely place to stay for a couple days. Beautiful rooms, very nice atmosphere, friendly staff - what more can you ask for? Moreover it is located very close to 16th Mall Street and many other places for food and similar things. You can actually do many things from the B&B on feet, if you like to. Personally, I loved this option.

Nice alternative to cookie-cutter hotels

4.0 on July 31, 2014

Came to Denver on business and this B&B was a great alternative to the typical corporate hotel experience. Loved sitting in the back garden for breakfast each morning. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Internet worked well. Deep bathtubs were a treat. Walking distance to my meetings downtown.

Great place to stay

4.6 on July 23, 2014

Great location, clean rooms, great staff. Plan to come back and will suggest to any of my out of town company.

Fun place to stay

4.6 on July 22, 2014

Queen Anne was a fun and fantastic place to stay. Artist Suite #4 was really quirky and artfully decorated with an amazing shower with 3 shower heads, a warming lamp and an incredible deep soaking tub; definitely the highlight of the space for me! Breakfast was delicious each morning with excellent coffee and scheduling meal time was really flexible. The Happy Hour was such a treat and a great way to meet other guests. I wish there was a Queen Anne in my hometown!

An Accommodating B&B for Vegans

5 on July 22, 2014

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Queen Anne for two nights in the middle of July 2014 and were very happy with our stay. Our room (Tabor) was not large, but was perfect for our needs and very clean. I was very impressed by their efforts to reduce waste and by how friendly the people who worked there were. We really enjoyed talking to other people stay there during their "happy hour" in the evening around a large wooden table with appetizers and wine. What we appreciated most, however, was how they took the time to make a delicious vegan breakfast for my girlfriend. The whole B&B is vegetarian, but they additionally made sure to have non-dairy milk and yogurt. They also planned their menu so that there were cooked options available for a vegan as well. If you are vegan and are looking for a place to stay in Denver, CO you should certainly consider this place. The breakfast was excellent and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Please do give them advanced notice to make sure they can plan ahead though.

Great B&B and delicious breakfast

4.0 on July 17, 2014

Great location with a nice sense of community

Charming and convenient to downtown

4.2 on July 16, 2014

I attended a conference at the Grand Hyatt which was a seven minute walk from the Queen Anne. The room was perfect and the staff were super-friendly and very helpful. I don't do breakfast, so nothing to add about that, though it looked tasty (this survey won't let me leave the rating blank and has no N/A selection). I would recommend the Queen Anne without hesitation.

I would recommend it to others.

3.8 on July 08, 2014

The two main reasons I chose this BnB were location and the description inclusion of staff likes and interestes. Turns out the folks who work here like the same things I do and this led to a very good experience with specialized knowlege that enhanced our stay in Denver.

Artist suite #2

3.2 on July 03, 2014

The room was lovely but on the small side compared to how the picture made it look. There was only one hot dish option for breakfast and a small selection of other items such as mini muffins and cold cereal. The garden patio was gorgeous, and the location was in walking distance to dinner and the sixteenth street mall. The private hot tub was very nice and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Overall it was a very nice stay, but I would not spend the $250 to do it again.

Will most definitely be back!

4.4 on June 26, 2014

This was my first experience at the Queen Anne and I can't say how much I loved it! From the quote on the wall as I entered (after 2am due to a flight delay, but they kindly accommodated me!), to the mural in my room (Aspen), to the delicious breakfast, coffee, and delightful conversation. I travel often to Denver and will look forward to each of my future nights at the Queen Anne.

Great Getaway

5 on June 26, 2014

Excellent location. Perfect for an inner city get away. Neighbourhood is quiet. Service is courteous and informative. Thanks for another great stay.

Stayed during my wedding

5 on June 23, 2014

Me and a few of my family members stayed here for my wedding weekend. Our whole experience was amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The garden area was so pleasant that we ended up taking the majority of our formal wedding pictures there. We live and got married in Denver and I wanted to book a little oasis for my husband and I during all the craziness and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This place is lovely.

An excellent low key vacation stay. No pressures.

John Rickell 611 Park Avenue Apt 909 Baltimore, MD 21201

Great food, good ambience, some discomfort

3.8 on June 22, 2014

My hubby and I stayed in the local artist suite with the private jacuzzi for two nights. I loved the hot tub and it seemed well-maintained, although we couldn't rinse with hot water before entering it (rinse shower broken I guess). We had a blast playing a few old 45s while getting ready in the morning. I loved waking up to sunlight streaming in the stained glass window opposite the bed. So beautiful. And breakfast each morning was amazing! We loved the fresh ingredients and they gladly accommodated my gluten free diet. We enjoyed getting to know the other guests around the table as well. I was extremely disappointed with the bed and pillows. The bed was very hard, not comfy at all, and the pillows were flat. In our room, there was no way to adjust the temperature, so I felt a little warm. DH is always hot, so he was more uncomfortable than I. And I know they play up their "green" attitude, but I don't think that means I should have to use sandpaper toilet paper. I expected more luxury from a classy bed and breakfast.

Don't expect the "royal" treatment!

2.0 on June 05, 2014

Against my husband's advice, I booked a room at the Queen Anne for 3 nights instead of a nice hotel. I hate to say it again, because it is starting to sound like a broken record, but, 'I should have listened to my husband!" Breakfast the first morning was scrambled eggs with spinach and dirt (or some type of earthy crumbled dried plant?????) The girl serving could not keep the number of people at the breakfast table straight, so she recounted at least 3 times and served us 2X2 with an 8 minute lag time between each couple. Perhaps if I had eaten more of the 'earthy' eggs I would not have minded that they ran out of decaf coffee. No one managed to buy decaf coffee for the second morning either! The room décor was something between "Groovy & Goodwill." The king sized bed was so close to the wall, that it was impossible to get into bed on the right side without getting caught up and tangled on the extra long floor curtains. Anyone over 5'2" tall would not be able to use the bathroom mirror, unless you are happy crouching. The icing on the cake were the robes in the armoire. One was a well worn white bathrobe and the second one was an old forest green terrycloth robe that someone must have purchased at a garage sale. A word of advice....Skip the Queen Anne, get a nice hotel room and eat breakfast at a great little spot called Snooze,.......and you can't say my husband didn't warn you!

Great B and B in downtown Denver

Great location. Excellent breakfast and very sweet staff. Great bar and restaurant right across the park too. Highly recommend.

All-Around Fantastic

5 on June 04, 2014

Beautiful B&B tucked just outside the city center. Staff was very friendly and offered a free room upgrade because they weren't fully booked that week. Food is fresh and delicious, facility is clean and comfortable. Will highly recommend and definitely stay again!

Queen Anne Bed and Breakfast

3.6 on June 04, 2014

My husband and I live in the suburbs of Denver, so we do not stay in bed and breakfasts in Denver. We were celebrating our 10th Anniversary so we wanted to do something out of the ordinary and special for us. The Queen Anne is located within walking distance to the theater where we had tickets, to many restaurants and the Chalk art Festival in Larimer Square. The room was very clean, with ample space. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. The staff was polite, professional and helpful. And the food was fresh and delicious. We would highly recommend staying at the Queen Anne.

An Urban Oasis

B&B with warmth and wonderful hospitality

3.6 on May 25, 2014

Great service. Scrumptious breakfasts !

Great mix of modern and quaint

3.8 on May 24, 2014

This is a great B&B within walking distance of downtown Denver and the 16th street mall. The decor is an appealing mix of modern style and quaint19th century and Western decor, but it works. The rooms are decorated by local artists or interior decorators and were spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was that as an old house, there was a lot of noise from the street and the curtains didn't keep out all the light (that being said, I'm a very finicky sleeper). The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet for the downtown location...mostly traffic noise which tapered off in the evening. The food deserves its own paragraph. The breakfasts were outstanding and original, something fresh and different every day. One day it was savory Indian pancakes (I forget what they were called) with cilantro chutney and eggs and the other day it was Belgian waffles with fresh fruit - both fabulous! The B&B gets much of its food from its own urban farm a block down the road. The evening wine and cheese tasting was low key with a modest selection but quite good.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Queen Anne. The staff was very helpful, we enjoyed breakfast very much (especially the scrambled eggs with guacamole). Our room (Suite # 3) was quite spacious and extremely clean. All and all, we had a great time and would be happy to stay there again. Thank you very much for a great experience.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly host and told that we could upgrade to an even nicer room for free! Loved the better room. House was cozy and loved our breakfast. We are Vegan and the chef prepared us a delicious meal! Thanks!

Excellent as always

We stayed at the Queen Anne after our wedding and it has been our go-to for special weekend getaways ever since. We usually to the Gallery Suite 2 which is amazing and has a nice, private deck with a hot tub. This time we did the rooftop room and it was also great. I think- by a narrow margin- I prefer the Gallery Suite. It is a larger room. But the rooftop balcony and outdoor hot tub was amazing. Both rooms are great.

Location is sweet, but timing is everything!

2.6 on April 25, 2014

This is a great location to be in central downtown Denver. The room you have determines the quietness of your stay. Squeaky floors, active patio for smokers and cultural events can impact the quality of your sleep and visit in Denver. Highly priced for a simple room and be aware of 4/20 events in a liberated state of legalization of marijuana. Too much "hip" and not enough privacy.

Wonderful experience!

5 on April 15, 2014

I reserved a night at the Queen Anne in as a surprise for my husband - we are local, and enjoy visiting the city for a little get-away. The Queen Anne Inn provided an exceptional experience with the location, amenities, local flavor and recommendations around the block for dinners/lunches. The staff was friendly and helpful, and helped provide recommendations for local options. The Inn was clean, and fresh feeling for a historic building, and well maintained. I would highly recommend considering the Queen Anne Inn on your next visit to the Mile High City!

Outstanding B&B

5 on April 07, 2014

Owners were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious - Waffles with fresh fruit were a lovely treat as were the other tasty dishes. Eco-conscious B&B with the softest organic sheets! Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Happy with our decision

Wonderful place to stay! Loved the breakfast and environment. Downtown was a simple walk away!

Great Experience

The host was very accommodating, helpful, and pleasant. The historic building was beautiful and the room very nice. The chef took my diet into consideration and made an amazing breakfast. Really nice people and vibe! Highly recommended! Marcell

The Aspen Room is Worth It!!

4.6 on March 03, 2014

We stayed at the Queen Anne for Valentine's Day. We have always heard good things about this B&B but especially wanted to stay in the Aspen Room. We were ecstatic when we were able to book that room for the evening. This B&B is wonderful. It is in an historical house that once belonged to the parents of Mrs. Tabor, so there is definitely a Colorado historical connection. The Aspen Room itself is breathtaking! You really do feel like you are staying in an aspen grove in a Rocky Mountain Autumn. The room was comfortable, but the biggest thing I noticed was the lack of noise. The room was very quiet and you really couldn't hear any noise from the hallway either. The breakfast the next morning was very good. I really liked that they use local produce for their meals. This was an excellent evening and we will definitely be back to the Queen Anne and the Aspen Room again soon!

Wish I could have stayed longer!

A lovely place for relaxation and fun which is centrally located. Host and chef, Val, was awesome! Taxes made the room nearly unaffordable for us.

Romance & Location

4.8 on February 06, 2014

What a beautifully decorated and clean room we had for our Anniversary. The breakfast and wine were excellent and all locally sourced foods. We have stayed at a number of the finer hotels in downtown Denver, and the Queen Anne is an value with high quality service. We are avid walkers, and found the location to central enough to walk to most of the downtown attractions.

Home Away from Home! Beautiful!

5 on December 26, 2013

My husband and I stayed in the beautifully painted ASPEN room. The room was so cozy and the bed so unbelievably comfortable. The staff was friendly and informative (thank you for all of the dining suggestions!) and the breakfast in the morning was delicious (homemade waffles covered in fresh fruit, delicious yogurt, and much more!). As I sat with the other guests at the communal breakfast table, we smiled as we exchanged stories of admiration for this B&B. Many of them were repeat guests who often come in on business (returning guests-- a great sign!). We hope to be repeat guests as well. I'm so glad we chose to stay here as opposed to a hotel chain! Free parking and five star breakfast included in the price! WONDERFUL! THANK YOU!!

Awesome place to stay

We will stay here again anytime we go to Denver!

Queen Anne review

3.0 on December 03, 2013

Overall, our stay at Queen Anne was pleasant & we had no issues with the staff or the accommodations. Our in-room hot tub was fabulous! The only downside to our experience was the location of the B&B. It was great to be near downtown Denver, CO, & be within walking distance from great restaurants & attractions. However, there was really no check-in process & guests were coming in & out all night. One night a group of guests came in at 3:30am beligerantly drunk & woke us up. On top of that, a drunk couple staying in the room next to us got into a heated argument around 4:00am in which I thought either the B&B staff or police would have to be called. Thankfully, their argument dissipated prior to personal harm of one another.

A delightful getaway for young professionals

4.6 on December 02, 2013

I want to begin by saying that my review will hardly do the Queen Anne Justice. From the moment you walk through the door of this lovely establishment, you are taken in by its charm. No detail has been overlooked by the couple that owns this B&B, and as soon as you talk them you understand why. Their dedication to making the whole experience of the Queen Anne exactly what they want it to be is reflected in everything from the one-of-a-kind decor of the rooms to the (cost included) wine and cheese happy hour. We stayed in the Local Artist Suite #2. The owner, Mylon, gave us the full tour of the room (custom artwork, bear claw tub, private sun-room with a spa), and then we were left to our own devices. After unpacking and a glass of champagne, we sat down to chat with other guests enjoying happy hour, which was lovely. After a couple snacks, we walked across the park for drinks and some famous fries from Jonesy's. Then it was back to relax in the spa, and enjoy our much needed trip. (The picture on their site shows a copper tub in the sun-room, but the area is actually a hot tub now...and it's great!) Staying at the Queen Anne is a wonderful experience, and we are eagerly awaiting our next trip! Maybe we'll see you there!

The Art of Comfort

4.8 on December 02, 2013

The great location is near parks, beautiful neighborhoods and shops. It's perfect for the urban walker. The artful interior design creates joy and relaxation, and meals are artful, delicious and healthy. Personal and polite service cares for unique needs seamlessly. The enthusiastic owner with a community conscious green attitude is a delight and infuses the entire experience with positive energy.

lovely inn

4.6 on November 24, 2013

There was some construction nearby so the sitting room was not very quiet but the bedroom was comfortable and quiet. The innkeepers on the weekend were particularly pleasant and warm. The inn is very conveniently located-easy to walk to downtown or to nearby restaurants and museums (if you like to walk). This is our second stay- we've enjoyed both and highly recommend this inn.

Wonderful place!

Out West Trip Begin and End

4.8 on November 05, 2013

My wife and I took a 10 day trip out west. Started and ended out trip here. First night had the Aspen room - what a beautiful room. Painting is amazing. Last night of our trip stayed in Rooftop. Room has a hot tub on the private upper patio outside. What a great view! Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Lovely Service but Disappointing Room

3.4 on October 12, 2013

We had a one night stay at the Queen Anne B&B Inn. While the grounds, main building and service were lovely, our particular room was a disappointment. We stayed in one of the local artist suites and to our surprise the room was not only carpeted, but had a strong carpet cleaner odor. Based on the room photos on their website we were under the impression that the room had stained, finished floors. The room is also listed on their website has having a a cast iron hot tub, which is not true. There is a hot tub but it is not cast iron. Overall the room simply did not appear as it does in their website. For the price, we expected more.

We're glad we stayed at Queen Anne B&B Inn.

5 on October 01, 2013

My husband and I stayed at the Inn 2 nights. Milan is a fantastic chef and fixed tasty treats for breakfast and also for happy hour. Milan was also able to suggest restaurants nearby (and directions) since this was our first visit to Denver. You're in the heart of downtown Denver! What's not to love?

Very good B&B

4.2 on September 29, 2013

We stayed at the Queen Anne B&B Inn only for one night. All was fine. Hospitality and cleanliness are very good. No TV in our room but wifi worked well. The B&B is very close to downtown Denver and a lot of restaurants are in walking distance. All in all we would highly recommend this house and would like to come again.

Anniversary stay

4.0 on September 26, 2013

The breakfast contained no protein, it was entirely carbohydrate. It was a delicious waffle with fruit, but any breakfast needs to include protein to be complete and satisfying. Otherwise, the stay was lovely. It was our 25th anniversary and the staff surprised us with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne. We enjoyed our visit and chats with the other guests at the happy hour and breakfast table. We stayed at the Queen Anne 25 years ago on our wedding night and enjoyed this stay as well.

A Fun Getaway

We live in Boulder and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a Denver getaway. We love staying at B and B's because of the personal touch, and we were not disappointed. The breakfast was outstanding. We were also walking distance from the 16th Street shuttle, so we didn't have to use our car during our stay.

Perfect ECOfriendly B&B in Denver

4.8 on August 24, 2013

Room: Garden Nights: 5 Travel: all walking, no car (shuttle from airport) Staff was outstanding! Great knowledge about the town as well and we were pointed in the directions of things that were of interest to us and what we were in the mood to eat in regards to restaurants. The location is gorgeous and while there is a local park right across the street it was under construction at the time but i can see it being just lovely when it is done. Its all very urban and just far enough from downtown to not feel loud and suffocated by throngs of people but close enough to walk to the social scene. The bed was super comfy and extra pillows/blankets were available but not needed by us as it was quite warm in Denver at the time of visit. Breakfasts and evening drink/appetizer hour were always amazing! Their commitment to local produce (community garden right on the block by them) and Colorado sourcing is impressive. The coffee, tea, yogurt, veggies, etc. were all local based and I just found the support and community of it all very cool. In addition to the local sourced food, wine, drinks....the bathroom (Garden room) had an eco friendly toilet. Personally I felt like it was such a treat to find this gem. If i ever go back to Denver (which I hope to) I would not stay anywhere else but the Queen Anne.

Sophisticated Hospitality

5 on August 20, 2013

Everyone associated with the Queen Anne is warm, professional, and interesting - this is the ideal of the concept of innkeeper. The inn is beautiful, comfortable, and manages to retain the warmth of the original buildings within lovely, contemporary design features. Sparklingly clean, lovely gardens, everything is fresh and inspired. Thank you for being a home for me while I was in Denver. Carol Kelly

loved it!

Great B and B for a younger crowd

4.6 on August 14, 2013

This B and B had a much more modern and funky feel than others I've visited. They owner does a lot to make contacts in the community and to support local and sustainable food.

Couldn't have been better!

Delightful B&B, a bit off the beaten track but within easy walking distance to the heart of Denver. Lovely accommodations, gourmet breakfasts and infinitely helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Simply Lovely

4.6 on August 12, 2013

Our room was great. The experience was pleasant. The breakfast was superb. The staff was most helpful. Really the only negative aspect was the construction work going on across the street. But then that did complete the city atmosphere. I would definitely return.

Location, Location, Location

4.2 on August 08, 2013

Only a few blocks to downtown, under a mile to the Rockies stadium. Free parking, walk everywhere. Up and coming part of the city. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Couple of microbreweries/tap rooms within an easy stroll. Hosts are great. Very welcoming/knowledgeable about the area. Breakfasts very tasty - several of the ingredients come from their organic garden. The building is on the historical register. It is an old building, but nicely maintained. (If you are looking for sleek and modern, this place is not for you) Located directly across from a park, there is a front porch to sit on or a back garden to enjoy your morning breakfast. Area is quite. We stayed in the rooftop room. There is a hot tub on the deck. Very private (may change after the duplex next door is done being built). Very clean. As room is on top floor, should be noted that roofline in the room is slanted (as shown in one of the photos). You won't hit your head when you are in the bed, but you do have to bend over to get into bed. What you do need to know is that the roofline continues into the bathroom, and more importantly the shower. If you are tall (more than 5'11") showering may be a little challenging. I'm 5'8" and my head did touch a few times. Water pressure was good, and plenty of hot water. The room size was sufficient, but not really meant for lounging. Not an issue for us as it was Denver/the outdoors we were there to see. There is a tv in the room, but very small. Actually, think it was a 15" computer screen. We used it to get the local weather and the latest news, but don't plan on watching a movie. Also of note, is the temperature control for the room is in the hallway, and shared with at least one other room. Also a little load when the system turns on. There is a decent size closet (walk-in) so plenty of room to store clothes/suitcases. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again.

3.6 on August 01, 2013

I am local to Denver, but I enjoy a relaxing night out, and have stayed the night in most of Denver"s B&Bs. I like the Queen Anne and was happy to come back. I did my shopping though, and came specifically for the huge tub in the fountain room. It did not disappoint. Very large, plenty of hot water, clean, and spacious! Very busy that night, full house! The house was bustling.

Excellent Experience!

5 on July 28, 2013

Queen Anne was exceptional! It is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, it is uniquely furnished and the outdoor eating patio is beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. We slept well and appreciated the 'green' approach to business. Perfect location for walking downtown, but quiet, across the street from a park and an urban garden. Highly recommended!

Room was nice - not as it appeared on website

3.6 on July 26, 2013

Room is sweet, clean. Gentleman who assisted us at arrival and provided a lovely happy hour was very nice and knowledgeable about the B&B history and the neighborhood. We chose Local Artist Suite 2 for the hot tub that is appointed to the suite but upon arrival found that it had been removed and a newer/different model had been installed. The picture from the previous unique, round hot tub was much more to our liking and our choice of rooms was driven by the photo. We were disappointed with the new one which was uncomfortable and not at all the same shape. Otherwise a lovely place.

Queen Anne B & B / Denver: Aspen Room

5 on July 25, 2013

The Aspen Room is absolutely magical. Everything was great about the place except that the phone in our room rang at night a couple of times, not with calls for us but with calls trying to reach the main desk. Not sure why that problem occurred. We made our reservation directly with the Queen Anne and that is what I recommend. A woman arrived in the evening who thought she had a reservation made through Orbitz, but Orbitz had failed her and there was no reservation and the inn was full. The manager did however make useful suggestions to her where she might find lodging nearby. The inn grows their own organic produce in a garden directly across the street and herbs in the back garden, where we had a lovely breakfast. The staff was great. Highly recommend the Aspen Room (have not stayed in other rooms there). Hope they get the phone issue resolved.

Fit for a Queen

4.8 on July 25, 2013

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Queen Ann. Conveniently located within walking distance of a handful of impressive microbreweries, we enjoyed traveling on foot to get dinner and drinks. We stayed in the Rooftop Room, outdoor hot tub and great view of downtown Denver included, and we really appreciated the use of chemical-free cleaning products! Our breakfast was delicious, our conversations with other guests stimulating, and Sara was especially helpful in giving us backpacking and local beer tips. Great experience!

Beautiful and Friendly B&B

Beautiful B&B right in the middle of downtown Denver.. but quite and mix of modern traditional feel and decor.. Breakfast was outstanding... if I could give more the 5 stars I would give it 10. Friendly staff and very clean. Great themed decor rooms as well. :)

Wonderful B&B

4.2 on June 18, 2013

This is a nice urban B&B with the feel of the country. It is across the street from a park and has a beautiful garden in the back. The innkeepers are nice and friendly and take you on a tour of the house before checking in to give you the history of the house, which just adds to your stay. We will definitely be back.

Quick Stay in Denver

3.4 on June 18, 2013

We just needed a quick one-night place in Denver and didn't want a hotel. We knew the neighborhood & knew this area is regentrifying and getting better and better. The park across the street is under construction until fall 2013 so that was a bummer, but it will be great when it's done. The people who run the B&B were really wonderful. Not your typical Victorian so don't expect to be swept back in time, but the houses are lovely and have great history. We were in a funky 60's meets Art Deco room, but it was fun, clean, comfortable and perfect for our needs. A HOT weekend and even with the A/C being shared by two suites, it was cool and comfortable. We had to leave too early to share breakfast with everyone, but the Mgr made a note on that and when we came down, the owner made sure we had coffee, pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. The patio is beautiful and it would be a great place to sit there or on the front porch and hang out, but we just didn't have the time. Walking distance to great neighborhood dining, however I wouldn't walk back too late at night. Good parking in the alley: lit and with security cameras. We enjoyed our short stay and would recommend the Queen Anne!

Our choice for Denver downtown

4.4 on June 10, 2013

As everyone says, location is important, especially if you want to leave the car parked in order to sample a microbrew while watching a baseball game. We walked everywhere we needed to go in the downtown area.. We needed a room at a time when a huge convention was taking place and hotels downtown were booked up. The inn had only one room available: the Oak Room, and we had the impression that the other rooms were more desirable. The Oak Room is small but it was clean and comfortable. Even though it is located next to the dining room and public area, it was quiet. The delicious and filling breakfast is served at a large round table, and you can be as talkative or as quiet as you please. Milan took the time to show us the garden and there are several tables for two when weather permits. Parking is included in the room price, and is directly behind the inn. To sum it up: it's a Victorian, so the rooms are varied in size and amenities (if having a TV is important to you, make sure you specify this). The Queen Anne certainly outshines the cookie-cutter chain hotels in the area. We'll be back to sample the other rooms.

All fantastic every time

A real find for staying near downtown Denver

4.8 on May 26, 2013

The inn-keepers provided great recommendations to finding the local gems on dining and entertainment. The complimentary breakfasts were prepared from local ingredients by the chef on-site in the B&B tradition, and an afternoon wine and cheese affair with the other patrons was a welcome event to come back to after a day on the town. Certainly an experience that would have been missed at the Marriott or Hilton, and one that made my trip really special.

Friendly B&B

4.0 on May 26, 2013

Staying at this B&B made my trip to Denver so special. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and very convenient location to access downtown area. I was there for 5 days attending conference, it was very friendly and I enjoyed meeting others at the breakfast and happy hour over wine and snacks. Very nice place and I'll definitely come back when I visit Denver again!

Fabulous Stay at Queen Anne B&B!

5 on May 16, 2013

We stayed one night in the "Rooftop" room and loved it! But, we really wanted that room for the private hot tub (which was worth it). However, if you aren't set on an outdoor hot tub, I would go for the "Aspen Room"...very unique or the Local Artist Suite 2. We did not see all of the rooms but the Oak Room is the least interesting option on the property. The only downfall of our room was that the shower had a slanted wall, so it was a bit tough to use comfortably, especially for my husband who is 6'1". The breakfast was delicious as well as the complementary happy hour. And, Sarah was especially helpful with so many aspects of our stay. I definitely recommend this place.

Great stay

4.8 on May 09, 2013

Our stay at the Queen Ann was very short, but sweet. We stayed in the rooftop room which I would highly recommend. The view of the city from the private hot tub is priceless!

Fabulous experience in the heart of Denver

4.0 on May 07, 2013

As a frequent business traveller and sustainability professional, I try to walk the walk by choosing lodging venues that are committed to sustainable operations and that are locally owned. This is not always easy, and I was thrilled to discover the Queen Anne B&B, which not only met my lodging preferences, but exceeded my expectations for hospitality, comfort and environment. What a classy joint! When I arrived, I was very pleased with the accommodations -- fabulous interior decoration that nods to the Queen Anne era, but has a very contemporary flair. Not the dusty, overly cluttered "ye olde country B&B" feel to it at all. The first thing you see is a great quote by Wendell Berry on the wall. Fabulous colors and details, but very soothing and not overly cluttered - great wood floors, furniture and ambiance. The art and furniture -- particularly the fabulous hand-made round table in the dining area -- were gorgeous and inviting. From what I understand, it was hand-made for the dining room by local artisans. The staff was so warm and friendly -- I felt very welcome and sensed that everyone there really cared about my experience and about the B&B. I would definitely stay there again -- clean, great service, fair value (Denver lodging isn't cheap), and fabulous food. Overall, a nice home away from home and a great alternative to generic hotels.

I would stay here again and again!

I loved it! I would recommend it to anyone looking to get away.

Amazing Stay!!

5 on April 28, 2013

The bed and breakfast was beautiful and unique. The local artists who designed the rooms did a fabulous job. Breakfast was fantastic every morning and the staff was a so friendly. Did I mention they had wine and cheese happy hour every day at 5pm!?!? Also the park across the street was very pretty and there were tons of cool delicious restaurants all within walking distance of the place!

Top Notch!

5 on April 28, 2013

Fantastic service from the start on the phone; super accommodating with switches in reservations ahead of time. The property and space were enchanting and the service superb. I had the privilege of Sara and Milan's bfast's and they are not to be missed! Talk about value, healthy options, and pleasing presentation! I fell in love after the first bfast and plan on returning when I'm in Denver again! Square footage is great in the rooms which are clean comfy. A+

The Queen Anne B&B Rocks

4.6 on April 21, 2013

A very pleasant place to stay in Downtown Denver. The owner, Milan, and other staff are wonderful, and the breakfasts are an outstanding way to start the day. It is about 3/4 to a 1 mile walk to the Convention Center, and 3 blocks to the light rail which goes directly downtown to the Convention Center. If it is spring (March & April), I recommend bringing boots, even if the weather forecast doesn't indicate they are needed.

Lovely lovely lovely

4.4 on April 16, 2013

I closed out a two-week road trip at this B&B, figuring it would be a nice change of pace from the typical hotels I'd been staying in. It was a huge breath of fresh air. The rooms (or at least my room) are sizeable and relatively quiet, and the staff is exceedingly helpful and friendly. I ended up spending more time in my room than exploring Denver; that's how enamored I was with this place. Definitely stay here!

Good for a business trip

4.4 on April 16, 2013

This was a nice place to stay. I booked late for a business trip, and wasn't able to stay in any of the normal hotels, so I was lucky to find them. I ended up in one of the artist suites because the remainder were booked up, artist suite 2 to be exact. The decor is aging a little bit, but the bed was very comfortable. They could stand to throw a fresh coat of paint on the walls and fix up some baseboards and other odds and ends, but nothing was malfunctioning. Breakfast was great. Seems all vegetarian, and I am definitely a meat eater, but I didn't miss it. They set out a few bottles of wine and some cheese each night. Wine was nice, the cheese isn't anything special but its free so its hard to complain. I would stay again for sure.

We stayed two nights for a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. In the past we have stayed in downtown Denver hotels. But having tired of that, we searched for something with more charm and more personable. This was the perfect choice. Great location near downtown and near the emerging fun districts outside of downtown. The houses are from the 1800s and are a perfect setting. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the happy hour was very nice touch. The owner and staff are pleasant and friendly, and we enjoyed meeting other guests. To top it off, this is a very eco oriented business that focuses on sustainable practices and local products

Wonderful and romantic lace to stay in downtown Denver!

Great service and overall ambiance. Had a lovely stay. Was able to walk downtown to plenty of shopping and restaurants.

Our favorite place to stay in LoDo!

Creative, Artistic, and Outstanding:the Queen Anne B&B

4.6 on March 18, 2013

My stay was like having a home in Denver, and an entrance into the art community of the city. My special requests had been provided for before I arrived, and I was able to check in a little early with little paperwork. My room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were made to order and fantastic, justifying Queen Anne's review in the Denver Post as providing one of the best breakfasts around. Milan was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the community, where to dine, camera issues, and directions. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Queen Anne

This is the best place I've ever stayed. Very charming.

Great place for a special occassion

4.6 on March 13, 2013

My husband and I stayed on our wedding night and couldn't be happier with our choice. I had no idea that there was such a gem in Denver for such a great price. The house is beautiful with artwork from local artists and the innkeeper was hard working and friendly. A special little touch is jazz music playing with a speaker in the room that you can control the volume. Breakfast and coffee were awesome. We just might make this place a tradition on our anniversaries. Thank you, we will be back and certainly recommend to others!

What a great place

4.6 on March 07, 2013

This is a lovely B+B. Nice spacious clean rooms, beautiful house. The staff are really helpful especially the owner and his wife. There are a nice selection of travel guides in the lounge to browse through and free wine and cheese every evening for happy hour. What more could you want? :)

Excellent Visit

4.6 on March 06, 2013

Queen Anne exceeded my expectations as they were very accomodating with our travel plans and took extra care in ensuring that everything was taken care of. The breakfast in the morning was homecooked and an excellent way to start any morning. I would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Great Stay

4.0 on March 01, 2013

We stayed at Queen Anne for Valentine's Day. This was my first stay at a B&B and we loved it. The whole house was very homey, breakfast was amazing, the other guest were very nice, and the house is located a stumble away from downtown. If you don't want to make that trip, there are two great bars across the park from the B&B. I am happy to say that Queen Anne has set the standard.

A hidden gem!

5 on February 20, 2013

I travel a lot and make it habit to stay in Bed & Breakfasts wherever possible. The Queen Anne is hands down the best in Denver!!! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, always available and incredibly helpful. I have stayed there 3 times in the last month for a total of 11 days and purposely asked to sample many of the rooms. Each room has it's own story and is impeccably designed to tell that story! They are immaculate, well appointed and the beds (and beddings!) are soft and comfy! And the breakfast is fantastic!!! The owner is a great chef and he and his staff prepare breakfasts that you will remember and talk about long after your stay! From homemade waffles with fresh berry coulis to a special Indian breakfast, the food is still something I still talk about! Room Tip: I have stayed in almost every room and they are all great! Each room has its own magic but for a real treat, try to get the Aspen room upstairs or one of the suites next door.

A Real Treat!

4.4 on February 20, 2013

This was my first B&B experience and if they are all like this one then I'll never stay at anything other than B&B's again! The house was gorgeous, the detail and care put into each room was impressive. We enjoyed an Indian style breakfast that was simply amazing. I would highly recommend The Queen Anne B&B! We went in the winter time and didn't even get to enjoy the outdoor patio! Anyway, bottom line, exceptional!

Great overnight stay at a cozy B&B

3.6 on February 17, 2013

We stayed overnight in the Rooftop room and had a great time. The room is small but pretty perfect for two people. Our hosts were great at accommodating our late check in and provided a wonderful breakfast.

Unique downtown setting

4.2 on February 16, 2013

Old Victorian home on the National Registry. Great owner/operators. Wonderful Indian breakfast.

Nice view from hot tub on the roof

4.2 on February 12, 2013

We really enjoyed being able to walk to downtown from this location. The food was fabulous and the owner very kind. A little on the expensive side in my opinion, but the view from the hottub on the roof was outstanding during the day or night. Rooms are decent, but small. I'd try another room if at a lower price point.

Pure Elation

5 on February 07, 2013

Had the most wonderful time staying in the Rooftop Room at the Queen Anne. Our room came with its own private hot tub on the deck overlooking the Denver skyline. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were fresh, locally grown and delicious. Happy hour with wine and cheese was a welcoming touch. I will definitely be back!

A great escape

4.6 on January 29, 2013

The inn is unique, comforatable, and conveniently located in a nice part of Denver, close to great restaurants and bars. Relaxing in the hot tub of the Rooftop room on a chilly night was heaven!

Impeccable Hosts

4.6 on January 23, 2013

We enjoy Victorian-era accommodations, and the Queen Anne Urban Bed and Breakfast in Denver was a top-rated choice according to Yelp, TripAdvisor, and others. It was a bonus getting my room rate at 50% off via Groupon on the largest suite available, so I was stoked for my weekend “staycation” with my better half, at a incomparable low rate for an enormous suite. Milan and Val at the Queen Anne were impeccably accommodating innkeepers, and the friendliest of hosts booking the room over the phone, and upon arrival. After a short tour of the two-home premises, I inquired with Val about any “natural food” restaurants in the vicinity. He asked me if I was Vegan (he was, I soon found out), and I told him, “Not exactly, but I am diabetic, and I want something super-healthy to eat tonight.” Val cracked a slight smile, as if I had just touched on one of his favorite things to discuss, and he began to tell me in great detail about a Vegan establishment just a few blocks away.

a pleasant surprise after six years

5 on January 15, 2013

My girlfriend and I had stayed at the Queen Anne her first time in Denver some six years ago, and when I brought her back last December as my fiancee, I was thrilled to learn about the changes that had been undertaken by the new owners & operators, such as renovations made by local artisans and the growing of food just across the street! A pleasant breakfast with a few Denver natives, each of whom had their own locally-oriented backgrounds to share, really solidified this great experience, and brought home how much great progressive labor is being done back at home!

An Asset to the Denver Community

3.8 on December 27, 2012

The Queen Anne is the best bed and breakfast in Denver. As a couple's retreat, it can't be touched. But the real charm lies in its role as a community builder in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver. The Queen Anne has accomplished this through its efforts at sustainability, using local food, and by its brilliant use of local artists in all of its design and function.

Best B&B ever.

4.8 on December 17, 2012

Took the wife here for our anniversary. Being new to the Denver area I wanted something a little bit different than the regular downtown hotel stay and I have to say that this couldn't have been better. Reserved local artist suite #2 (I think; the one with the jacuzzi indoors). Excellent staff from our late arrival to Denver all the way to the chef who made a wonderful breakfast. The rates are definitely higher than some less exciting options but I'd have to say that they were quite on par with the value. Wine and cheese in the evenings, unique features for different rooms...it was all worth it and I'd happily do it again. Same room. Same everything.

A wonderful place for a staycation!!!!

5 on December 16, 2012

We stayed at the Queen Anne for two nights and is was absolutely fantastic. The room was completely comfortable and beautiful, breakfast was divine. It was quiet and peaceful. We fell in love with our hosts Milan and Mona. They took care of our every need and were gracious, genuine, and delightful. I would recommend this B & B to anyone for a little getaway that takes you far away .........

Great B&B!

We stayed at the Queen Anne for 4 nights recently and had a great experience. The staff members were incredibly helpful and friendly. And the food was delicious.

a friendly environment

5 on November 28, 2012

We found the location to be ideal (walking distance to downtown and convenient to Colfax Avenue); the building and rooms to be beautiful and the staff to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and well presented. I would recommend this B&B to anyone exploring Denver or just wishing a restful getaway.

Squeaky floors but very good breakfasts.

4.2 on November 26, 2012

A hard street to find, was upgraded to a better room, still no real closet or bathroom. Could hear every move upstairs and every time someone left thru the front door. Met nice visitors at a home-made delicious breakfast and wine time in the early evening. Friendly staff.

Excellent B&B

4.6 on November 23, 2012

This B&B exceeded my expectations. We loved the decor of the two houses - they used a lot of local artists in their design and decor. The service was excellent - great personalities and they all made us feel very welcome!! We will definitely stay there again and recommend this B&B to all our friends!

Weekend in Denver

Great location near downtown Denver and the Mercury Cafe. Food was very delicious. Garden Room is quaint but comfortable. Off-street parking was nice but it was full when we returned late one night, though overnight street parking was available.

Wonderful Green BnB in the heart of Denver

4.4 on November 01, 2012

The proprietor and staff were wonderful hosts! The breakfasts were great with locally grown organic ingredients. I greatly appreciated the "green" focus for their bedding, in room amenities and breakfasts. The room was comfortable and the local artist’s touches to the room were intriguing! Well worth the visit even for a short stay!

Nice host, great location, recommended

Nice little oasis

4.2 on October 16, 2012

Charming "BB" in the heart of Denver, just a short walk to the main streets with all shopr and restaurants. Daily changing breakfast with local ingredients from the own garden. Wine, coffee and tea in the evening for relaxing in the little lounge. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the "Rooftop" room" and enjoyed the hot tub in the darkness on the balcony with Denver downtown in sight. Definetely worth staying!

friendly B&B

3.0 on October 11, 2012

Friendly staff, we stayed in the rooftop room, it was a little small and dated but was clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The inn keeper and staff were happy and helpful.

Comfortable stay in great location

3.6 on October 09, 2012

Sara was extremely helpful and friendly - offering recommendations for places to eat, answering my late night call when I forgot the code to the front door, providing extra blankets to keep me warm during the first cold spell of the season. I loved the fact that the kitchen was all vegetarian (I'm not a vegetarian myself, but appreciate the accommodation) and really enjoyed the roti prata Indian pancakes with coriander chutney - so different from traditional B&B fare, it was a great breakfast:) The other guests were lovely as well - really enjoyed the conversations around that gorgeous wood dining table.

Great place for a photo shoot!

4.4 on October 06, 2012

The Queen Anne was a wonderful little find right in Uptown. We live locally and wanted a special night away, and when I looked at rates for some of the more upscale hotels I had a moment of sticker shock. The Queen Anne doesn't hike up their prices when the rest of Denver gets busy, which I really appreciated. Milan and the rest of the staff were so friendly and accomodating, we will definitely go back for the next special occasion!

This was my third stay in a Bed and Breakfast

5 on October 02, 2012

It was the best to date. The host was knowledgable and enthusiastic about the area. He gave several good suggestions of places to see and visit. He took care to modify the meal to my dietary restrictions, which I appreciated greatly. I had a grand time.

Would definitely stay here again.

4.4 on October 02, 2012

Lovely place to stay, super location near city centre and very friendly people. My only concern was the breakfast table only seats 10 guests whereas the accommodation caters for in excess of 20. Our party had to wait 30 minutes for space to become available. However, I definitely would stay at the Queen Anne again.

An oasis in the city

4.0 on September 24, 2012

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Within walking distance of the central business district and many restaurants. Quiet and restful. Host Milan cooks a huge breakfast with organic and locally sourced food. Staff is gracious and accommodating. Will stay here again when we are in the city.

great service, food, and location!

4.4 on September 24, 2012

Not the fanciest place we've stayed but the service, location, and food were excellent. Only real concern was that the electronics (ie, tv, dvd player, radio/cd player) need updating and consistency in the rooms we saw.

Never disappoints

5 on September 20, 2012

Always a pleasure to stay at the Queen Anne. I come through Denver once a year for business and I simply won't stay anywhere else. Great food, great accommodations and great people.

Next Time We'll Stay Longer!

A beautiful historic building, friendly attentive service, a fabulous healthy breakfast, and an excellent location within walking distance of the 16th Street mall- what's not to love?

awsome experience

Quiet and comfortable, close to downtown fun. Delicious food and great service.

Wonderful oasis in downtown Denver

4.2 on September 05, 2012

Stayed here for three nights in the Artist Suite three. The unit was spacious with a sitting room and bedroom which were both nicely decorated. The inn is easy walking distance into downtown Denver or take the bus. Added advantage is the Bicycle rental station that is about a two block walk. We enjoyed coming back from exploring Denver and sitting on the porch with a view of the park. The inn is located in a quiet section of the city and we had three very peaceful nights sleep in a wonderful king sized bed. Breakfast each morning is prepared by the innkeeper/chef and was wonderful He strives to use all local ingredients and is open to any variations in diet you may need. We left the Queen Anne knowing that we would gladly come back again and would recommend it to our friends.

Wonderful night over looking downtown

4.4 on August 28, 2012

We spent the night in the rooftop suite. With the hot tup. The room was spectacular. Milan is a fabulous cook! Made an amazing breakfast. The room was spectacular. Very clean. Conveniently located next to downtown. Lierally a 10 to 15 minute drive from market or blake street. Very comfortable layout B&B is very secluded on its own street with one other house and wahoos. Definitely worth a visit!

Should have been warned

3.8 on August 27, 2012

Didn't sleep as the room I was in had the A/C unit blasting air into the room with a freight train noise every hour all night long. Controls were under a locked box and couldn't be turned off. All else was nice!

Loved the Queen Anne; will definitely stay again.

4.0 on August 24, 2012

The Queen Anne is a lovely B&B. We stayed in the Garden Room and it was perfect for our stay. The outside garden was in full bloom and it was an absolute delight to have our breakfast on the patio. Sara was very helpful with information about the area and I loved her energy. She is definitely an asset to the Inn. The breakfast she prepared was delish! Great experience at the Queen Anne.

Beautiful Room, Super Clean!

4.4 on August 23, 2012

We stayed in the Aspen Room right after getting engaged, and WOW! It was even more beautiful than I expected. It felt like we were sleeping in an aspen forest. Our room and the entire B&B was extremely clean and very cute. Wine and cheese 'happy hour' in the evening was a nice touch. Breakfast was good, but not great, but I'm sure that just depends on the day.

Exceptional Lodging

5 on August 23, 2012

We chose to stay at the Queen Anne based on the suggestion of a friend. I am so glad we followed this suggestion. The rooms are delightfully designed, clean, and well appointed. We were pleased to be staying in a location that has so thoughtfully considered each aspect of its refurbishment, and has included environmentally-conscious upgrades whenever possible. The hosts were pleasant but not imposing- we would have enjoyed sitting and chatting more, but didn't want to take too much of their time! The breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed sitting at the large communal table. Although I didn't travel with my children on this trip (ages 5 and 8), some of the rooms appeared large enough to accommodate families with well-behaved children, although that is always a difficult dance. In sum, an excellent retreat we will be certain to return to in the future, and will be sure to recommend to others.

Very special atmosphere

Mile High BB

3.4 on August 20, 2012

This was a good, but not a great BB. The beds were very firm and the breakfast very, very tasty. Unfortunately, the carpeting is a bit worn, and a paint job is needed. Overall, the rooms felt worn, and need some updating.

Great find in Denver!

Rooftop room

4.4 on August 14, 2012

The rooftop room is absolutely breath taking. We stayed one night here the room itself is small but very elegant and pleasant. The breakfast was great. Milan was great as a cook and a host. Definitely worth a visit. A gorgeous garden and conveniently located next to downtown denver.

Wonderful inn. Warm, homey, conveniently located. Delightful "happy hour." Local, organic breakfast. Extensive herb garden.

Enjoyed our visit!

3.6 on August 06, 2012

We had a great visit to the Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast. The food was tasty, people nice, and the location was very convenient to walk into downtown. Only issue is that the room we stayed in was quite pricey for a single night. Huge call out to Sara and Milan for their great service and friendly outlooks.

wonderful place to stay!

5 on August 03, 2012

We loved staying at the queen ann. Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast were incredible.

Top rate quintessential BandB experience!

4.2 on July 31, 2012

The Queen Anne provides a top quality, quintessential BandB experience. There were great additions to the house interior over the past few years, such as the newly renovated hardwood floors and the Colorado wood furnishings. Our anniversary stay in the rooftop room was excellent. The room was small yet romantic and the best part was the hot tub on the private deck outside. The jacuzzi was clean and larger than expected and the deck had great views. Our only problem with the hot tub was the afternoon group of wasps hanging out in the roof eves and unfortunately they were attracted to the tub enough that we had to wait to use the tub again until after sundown. Big kuddos for the wonderful complimentary happy hour wine, cheeses (& pesto), and fruit. The fresh garden veggie omelet breakfast was excellent but so elaborate that we had to wait 20 minutes for it to be prepared as there were many guests but one chef. Considering that, I wish the breakfast had been served later than 9:15 so we didn't rush and then wait, or possibly guests could sign up for a desired breakfast 'window'? Overall a wonderful experience and we will definitely return again.

Beautiful and Delicious

3.2 on July 23, 2012

My husband and I stayed in the Rooftop room for two nights. The room was quaint, as we expected-- but nothing extremely good or bad to report about it. It was just average, as long as you have the understanding that you are staying in a small room and you will have intimate quarters (especially if there are 2 guests). The highlight was the rooftop deck with the hot tub. Even though it was 90+ degrees outside, we still spent the majority of the time outside. There was adequate shade in the morning and a beautiful view at sunset. The hot tub is clean and nice sized for two. The air-conditioning unit also shares the area- which is a little loud and distracts from the "tranquility" or makes having a conversation challenging at times. The deck itself could use a paint job, but overall the deck rooftop experience was definitely worth choosing this room. The food was delicious, and creative... not just standard pancakes and eggs. The chef and owner, was very friendly, informative and easy to talk to. He explained each of the meals and ingredients. And was very passionate about cooking! We ate our meals outside in the back garden. It was filled with lovely flowers and plants. Very nice way to start the day.

B&B in Denver

4.2 on July 22, 2012

We flew to Denver, drove to Colorado Springs, to Breckenridge, through Golden to Estes Park, through Boulder back to Denver and stayed the 7th night at the Queen Anne. The location downtown was ideal. We walked to the Statehouse, the Brown Palace, the Art Museum and the Molly Brown House. The proprietor was a wonderful resource. The room was comfortable.

Denver bed and breakfast

4.6 on July 11, 2012

We recently went to Denver and stayed a night at queen Anne. We stayed in the aspen suite which was an awesome room to stay in. Everyone there was very nice and friendly. The breakfast wasn't the best b&b food, but was decent. We would stay there again.

Delicious Breakfast

3.2 on July 09, 2012

The Queen Anne B&B was true to the photos on their website. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The best part about our stay was by and far the breakfast. We had delicious waffles covered with sliced strawberries, bananas and sprigs of fresh lavender from the garden. It was satisfying and set us up for the entire morning!

Solo traveler, mid-week stay, very pleased

4.0 on July 09, 2012

I had a great time at the Queen Anne. Innkeepers were very friendly. Breakfast is planned each day, but each plate is cooked fresh and made-to-order. Manager on duty was extremely helpful after a snafu with my reservation (which was no fault of the inn's). She even upgraded me at no charge. My only concern was about the location. While conveniently located within walking distance of downtown, the inn is near a neighborhood that appears to be a little sketchy. Other than that, stay at the Queen Anne and enjoy the delicious food and beautiful accommodations.

A great place to stay in Denver

4.2 on June 28, 2012

We stayed at the Queen Anne for one night. We were lucky enough to get the rooftop room that has a private deck and hot tub. The view was awesome from the deck. Unfortunately it was so hot when we were there that we did not use the hot tub. The room was good, it had cute decor and a cozy feel. The lady that was working when we visited (not sure if she was the owner or not) was super nice and very helpful. My only gripe and it is small, is that we felt the breakfast was a little light. It was tasty and made with mostly local ingredients which is awesome but I guess I was just hoping for something a little more substantial. Overall it is a great place and I would stay there again.

Great B&B!

4.6 on June 27, 2012

We had a wonderful, too brief stay at the Queen Anne B&B while vacationing in Colorado. I selected the B&B because it was refinished and is run sustainably: beautiful attention to detail in the selection of artwork from local artists, furniture made from reclaimed and local woods, awesome food using ingredients from the backyard herb garden and organic farm across the street that is shared with two local restaurants. We stayed in the Aspen room, which had a cool mural of aspen groves. The room was small but very comfortable; the refillable dispensers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower and the dual-flush toilet were additional "green" components that made us happy! The breakfast awesome. On learning that we usually ate vegan, the owner/chef cooked us up some delicious savory fermented rice pancakes with a spicy cilantro sauce (rather than the also yummy looking open faced omelets he was making other guests). If you care about the earth, the local community, delicious food, and nice people, stay here!

A quaint oasis in the heart of Denver

4.8 on June 20, 2012

A few steps away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Denver and you're in your own little oasis. The owners/staff go out of their way to make your stay carefree. Great breakfasts and happy hour in the afternoon...the major chains don't come close. Beautiful gardens. Just a great place to unwind!

I will stay here again when I have business in Denver.

5 on June 17, 2012

I loved my stay here. I had checked the downtown Denver hotels and their rates were outrageous. The Inn is easy walking distance to downtown. My room was lovely, the garden gorgeous, and hosts very warm. We had fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden for breakfast in a delicious quiche. And after a long day I sat on the porch with a nice glass of wine and relaxed. I would definitely stay here again if I have business in Denver.

Will definitely stay again!!!

4.6 on June 12, 2012

We stayed here for our anniversary, and could not have been more pleased!! We stayed in one of the suites. Very nicely done, loved the claw foot tub, hot tub, and comfortable king mattress. Also liked that they a lot of the original woodwork from the 1880's. The service was fabulous, happy hour cheese/crackers/wine was a bonus, and the breakfast was incredible. I really enjoyed the fact the owner tries/tried to keep everything local. The furniture and mattresses were from local builders. They also have their own garden to grow fruit and vegetables. What food they get, they try to keep that local as well.

A small gem in a large city

Milan was a wonderful host and chef. We stayed two nights in May. Lovely B&B and gourmet breakfasts prepared by Milan. Milan upgraded us to a better room without our asking for it. This was our first visit to Denver, and he was very helpful in suggesting places to go to. B&B is located in a quiet neighborhood (we slept with the window open both nights) and only a couple blocks from downtown. We will definately stay there again on a future visit.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night, and 6 years later came back to celebrate our anniversary. The first time we stayed in the aspen room, a really fun getaway. This time we stayed in the rooftop room, which I recommend completely! It's private deck with a hot tub can't be beat! Also, the sheets are so soft, and the home cooked organic breakfast was amazing!!! LOVE IT!

Beyond our expectations

The Queen Anne is something to experience. I can't think of any negatives. The service is great. The food is superb, and the room was very clean. The location is close to many of Denver's attractions, but you might want to just stick around the house and enjoy the atmosphere. It's a home away from home, and we hope to return soon.

Pleasantly surprised

4.6 on May 15, 2012

I booked at Queen Anne's since most of the downtown hotels were fully booked because of a big convention that time. Upon reaching the place, the shuttle driver told me that I made a good choice picking that place because it was better than all (yup, he really said all) of the downtown hotels. I didn't give it much thought at first but boy was he right! The service was fantastic! The inn keepers were friendly and very accommodating. The owner was very hands on and gives you the feeling that you are in good hands. And the breakfast was just awesome! Every day is different and everything is delicious. One thing you shouldn't miss it their yogurt. It's one for the books! The room was well maintained also. Well, of course the wide angle lens made it look a little bigger, but it is essentially what you see in their site. Having an outdoor sauna (Rooftop room) made it so much enjoyable though. You'll get a contrast of the cool Denver weather with the warm jet-powered bubbles while enjoying the skyline. :D

Great getaway!

Sorry for our poor English, as we are French. I wanted to share the pleasure of our stay at Queen Ann. Most of Denver hotels were full and we ended at this bed and breakfast not knowing what to expect as very often the pictures are better than the reality. In this case the place is better that the picture ! It is a charming old house in a central charming preserved district within walking distance from every spot in Denver, Milan is very nice, doing evrything to make your stay a pleasant moment, cooking an real nice breakfast and not even mentioning the wine a 5. A huge thank you for making our stay in Denver so the pleasure at your place. Hope to come back soon to Denver ! PS it look like an ad for the place but just try it and you will see

Walking distance to best spots in Denver

What a gem this place is! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfasts are delicious. We stayed in the Fountain room, and although it was lovely, it was a little noisy. We could hear the guests in the room above us walking around for a good chunk of the night. I would stay again, but I would be more careful about the room choice.

Great Denver Getaway!!

What a great treasure just a couple blocks away from downtown Denver! The room was fantasic - large, clean and modern. The breakfast each morning was a highlight...so delicious! Easy walk to several great restaurants - the perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Beautiful, Clean, and Quiet!!

4.8 on February 15, 2012

We stayed in the Aspen room, it was very pretty. Queen Anne's is very inexpensive in comparison to other hotels in the Denver area... It was very clean. Even though all the other rooms were occupied it seemed as though we were all alone, until breakfast. We went downstairs and had some great conversation with the other travelers. Breakfast was amazing. We were traveling Co. for our anniversary, and the inn keeper/ owner was very pleasant and fun to talk to. The location was perfect as we could walk to a lot of the attractions. Literally 3 minutes of walking and we were downtown... first at the mint, then shopping at the mall, it really was perfect!! Thanks!! Hope this is helpful to someone... :)

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and found the Queen Anne online. We were intrigued by the heritage of the building and appreciated the modern twist.

4.4 on January 13, 2012

We stayed in the Rooftop Room. Relaxing in the private jacuzzi each evening with the beautiful views of downtown Denver and the mountains was an incredible end to the day. The breakfasts were phenomenal - delicious and indulgent. Milan and his staff were warm and welcoming - the perfect hosts. Highly, highly recommend the Queen Anne B&B!

the most relaxed ive felt in years

5 on January 05, 2012

We stayed in the rooftop suite with the private balcony and hot tub. It was so relaxing! The staff and owner were accomodating but not intrusive. I will definitelt come back when i get the chance.

would stay here again

3.4 on November 22, 2011

-both young ladies who had personally made our breakfast each morning were personable & made everyone at the table feel welcome. -food was great! -stayed in the "roof top" room: room was much smaller than seemed in online picture, but the view from the spa made up for that. -would stay here again due the "personal attention" given by staff

Will stay at Queen Anne again. Had an awesome time.

4.6 on November 17, 2011

Stayed in the Rooftop room. It was perfect and romantic. The hot tub was clean. The breakfast was great. The room was quiet. I will definitely be staying there again for another romantic night.

Great. Amazing. Lovely.

4.6 on November 10, 2011

A great place to be!! The home is beautifully remodeled. We stayed in the Rooftop room and loved it! Considering the attic location, the room is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. There is a walk in closet so you are not tripping over your luggage, etc. I had read that the beds were uncomfortable and hard, that the sheets were scratchy, and the room was too small or awkward. I found none of this to be true. The room's roof is angled (not a surprise if you look at the photos) but you are in the attic of an old home, if you're surprised by the layout, you're not paying attention! This is the charm of B&Bs... All the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The food is all vegetarian friendly (eggs are served). Although as a meateater the dietary choice wasn't a selling point for me, the food was still great! I would stay here again in a heartbeat... I would love to stay in a completely different room for a new experience, as every other guest we spoke with said they loved their room.

Comfortable, clean and cozy

4.6 on October 31, 2011

I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was low key and friendly. I was able to check in late with no hassles. Breakfast was great! Delicious scones! I liked the almost 2 hour window to eat breakfast. Happy hour was also a nod treat. The staff was very accommodating...modifying the breakfast for me and adding a night to my stay at the last minute. Joneseys restaurant across the street is a really good spot for dinner. I will definitely come back!

Fantastic Queen Anne B & B

5 on October 26, 2011

Fantastic homes, Sarah was spectacular as Hostess, near amazing restaurants (Avenue Grill is fabulous!), the garden was beautiful, and the park across the street was nice. It was better than the pictures show online. I would stay there any time, any day! I could only stay one day/night, but so wished I could have stayed all week. The other guests were warm, friendly and we all felt like we all knew each other for years.

Wedding night stay

4.2 on October 15, 2011

The innkeeper was phenomenal. His level of customer service was outstanding. My husband and I were later than we planned arriving and the innkeeper had left us detailed notes on how to let ourselves in. He was quick to accommodate an in-room breakfast the next day without question. The food was delicious! The only piece that was less than expected was the size of the room. We felt that the pictures on-line were slightly deceptive. We both had assumed our room would be slightly bigger than it was. Though it was very comfortable, both the room and the bathroom were smaller than we had anticipated.

GABF trip

Room was ready to go when we arrived. Breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable. One of the better B&B's I've stayed in, will definitely be staying there during my next Denver visit.

Comfortable respite in downtown Denver

4.0 on October 05, 2011

This was a great alternative to a big, expensive hotel in downtown Denver. The houses are tastefully decorated with historical significance that makes them also interesting. Our room was comfortable. We attended a Rockies baseball game--it was a pleasant 8 block walk to the stadium. We would definitely stay at the Queen Anne again.

excellent choice near downtown, walking distance to museums

Very nice garden, about a mile+ from Union Station. I had to leave early on the two mornings I stayed, so could not enjoy breakfast and did not meet any other guests, but service was very graceful and friendly.

Sarah was great as the inn-keeper. We liked the urban "green" feeling and appreciated the garden, room and the hot tub in the roof top room. The place is clean, quaint and way more personal. We like small and local. Great location for biking or walking to Denver attractions.

Cool design and great rooms

does look much from the outside, but really great BnB inside. Had rooftop room with hot top on terrasse with a view over Denvers skyline! Cozy breakfast with other guest.

A welcome rest at the end or our wedding day

4.4 on September 25, 2011

My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Queen Anne and had a wonderful time. The staff were wonderful from the reservation process all the way through check-out. We really enjoyed the quirkiness of Local Artist Suite #4--totally unique from anything else you'll find in the area! The whole B&B was gorgeous inside and out with beautiful furnishings, local artworks, and lush gardens. Super clean, delicious food, and surprisingly quiet for the area. The fact that they are environmentally-friendly and support local business was an added bonus, too. Highly recommended!

Best B&B in Denver

Once a year I travel to Denver for business, and I won't stay anywhere but the Queen Anne. Exceptional food, service and hospitality.

Good Food!

3.4 on September 13, 2011

The decor was interesting and very nice. The place was clean and the food was very good. The staff was pleasant also. We stayed in two different rooms and I didn't find either bed very comfortable. My friend, who never complains about anything, only found fault with one of them. The food was definitely the high point of our stay.

Queen Anne in Denver

Denver bike share station just one block away so we used bikes from station to bike around Denver City Park. Enjoyed the happy hour wine. Breakfast was great and very nice out on patio on good weather day.

Wonderful and Unique

5 on September 03, 2011

We loved every aspect of our stay at the Queen Anne. The rooms are beautifully designed, the food is delicious, and the innkeepers are great people. We feel like we got to know Denver in a truly unique way though the Inn's connection with the community. The location is convenient to many cool Denver sites, neighborhoods, and restaurants. We can't wait to return!

Cute, friendly and eco-conscious

3.8 on August 30, 2011

We stayed in the Rooftop room, with the private deck and hot tub. The hot tub was fantastic - they use chlorine-free natural sanitizers in the water, so it was very pleasant, especially at night with the string lights lit up. The establishment appears to be eco-conscious whenever possible, which I appreciate. The room itself was pretty small and the sloped ceiling on one side requires you to bend over to get to one side of the bed; the shower is also against the slope side, which made showering very difficult. Breakfast was superb - I requested a special vegan meal and was accommodated wonderfully, despite breakfast time being VERY busy when we were there. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The historic district borders a not-so-nice edge of town, but security measures in and around the building made us feel very safe. Overall, it was a lovely experience!

Wonderful stay

5 on August 29, 2011

Our stay at the Queen Anne B&B was amazing. The innkeepers were helpful and recommended a great place for lunch. The room exceeded our expectations. I would stay here again and recommend it to any friends that travel to Denver.

Fabulous Vibe and Breakfast

4.8 on August 28, 2011

We only stayed for one night but the host hooked us up with fun places to check out on foot. We loved our room and the garden. The owner/chef was very accommodating of our food restrictions. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous! We look forward to returning here again (and for longer than one night)!

Relaxing in Denver

This bed and breakfast was very clean, including the hot tub attached to the room we stayed in. It was amazing to see Coors Field from our deck. The breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again!

Great night away

3.8 on August 20, 2011

We recently stayed here because of it's proximity to Downtown Denver and the photos of the food looked delicious. I had seen (apparently an older) photo of a whirlpool outside and thought that was an option as well. We were really looking forward to the wine and cheese reception, but missed it because we stopped to buy a swimsuit on the way since we realized we had forgotten them. We were very pleased with the condition of our room and although there were many other guests, it was very quiet in our room. Great shower; very hot water that made up for the misunderstanding on my part about the whirlpool. Our bed was very comfortable. We were able to walk to the 16th Street area in about 10 or 15 minutes. The only downside for us was that the window unit air conditioner was right beside our headboard and it disrupted our sleep since we aren't used to sleeping with such a loud noise--although compared to no A/C, I'll take the noise! We would love to come again and stay in a room with a whirlpool. We'll have to make reservations a little further in advance next time. Our breakfast was very delicious. We liked having the option of eating indoors at a large table with other guests, or eating in the garden. The food choice was creative and delicious. We were very impressed with the sustainable garden and the effort to be provided with local and organic options. The coffee was a bit robust for our taste, but enjoyable.

A lovely retreat in Denver

4.2 on July 24, 2011

We had a three night stay at the Queen Anne. Arriving a little past our expected check-in time due to train delay, we were met by friendly Sara who gave us a quick tour and invited us to enjoy the wine and appetizers. Our garden room was comfortable and quiet, except for the hum of the air conditioner. Denver was having a heat wave and the room needed continuous cooling to be comfortable. We took our breakfast trays to the garden every morning. The food was just wonderful, simple but prepared with attention to detail and with added surprises like lavender buds for an unexpected burst of flavor. We commend the Queen Anne for its support of local produce and avoidance of disposable materials. The location close to downtown allowed us to walk to the art museum and other attractions. The front porch was a shady place to relax with a glass of iced tea and watch the world go by. We really enjoyed our stay with Milan and his crew.

Better value than some think

4.0 on July 23, 2011

Remember that the room rate includes not only Milan's wonderful breakfasts but also parking, and wine and hors d'oeuvre. Breakfast for two will run you at least $20 in a restaurant plus the time to get there and park. Parking at downtown hotels is another $20 per day. Add in happy hour and you're now getting at least $50-worth of goodies over and above a comfortable bed in a delightfully unique setting!

Beautiful, "green", locally-sourced everything!

3.6 on July 22, 2011

B&B was a true urban oasis in downtown Denver. The owners are understandably proud of their gorgeous property. Everything at the B&B, down to the wood furniture, is locally-sourced. The delicious produce comes from their backyard and the neighboring community garden. The sun tea was amazing! I wish we could've stayed longer. Thank you!

Pricey, but Nice.

3.4 on July 19, 2011

It was a bit expensive, but we stayed in the Rooftop Room and enjoyed the hot tub (probably more enjoyable in cold weather than in the summer) and the breakfast in the morning! Bed was comfortable, too, and the whole house was charming.

Wonderful place to stay

Best of all worlds

the Gardens are beautiful, the rooms comfortable, the staff friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I most appreciated the value put into organic, local food & wine. The breakfast was inspiring and delicious. Queen Anns is only a 10 min walk from downtown. An organic, comfortable affordable place to stay in the heart of Denver. I will definately stay again. thank you

We're starting a fund to stay often...

3.8 on July 11, 2011

We had stayed at the Queen Anne a couple of years ago while the older owners were still there, altho it was pleasent and clean it felt very stoggy and stuffy. Recently we stayed again and were surprised to be met at the door by a younger smile and energy. The new owners are GENIUS! there is art now by local artist, an updated feel/look while holding onto the "quaint" just outside of everyday. a very green enviroment. We stayed in Gallery 1 with the private hot tub. I'm not a tubber mostly out of all the chemicals nessary to make it clean. The owners even invest in green products to clean the tub with that didn't leave me feeling dried out. All in all we have started a weekly fund to come and stay often! Thanks to the staff and owners for making a cool place a warm place.

Love the Queen Anne B & B

5 on July 07, 2011

Stayed at the Queen Anne in Nov. for a conference in Dnever. It is a wonderful Inn. The staff and inn keeper provided great information about local places and the breakfaster were amazing. The Queen Anne is now the benchmark for all other B & Bs. Can't wait to go back to Denver!

great stay

4.8 on June 27, 2011

Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly. Because they were not full when we got there they bumped us up to a nicer and much larger room with a jaccuzzi tub for two which was wonderful. The bed was pretty uncomfortable though. It felt cheap, vs luxury pillow tops i am used to at B&Bs, though I imagine it was probably organic and sustainable like the rest of the place which in a mattress can be less comfortable.

Very nice house and easy walk to Downtown

3.8 on June 12, 2011

We stayed at the Queen Anne for the first night of our honeymoon. Eco-friendliness was a priority for us and they did not disappoint. They even had herbs growing in the backyard garden for use in the kitchen! Breakfast was delicious; we were served waffles that were made once we came downstairs so they were hot off the waffle iron! The 16th Street Mall was an easy 10-minute walk, which offered tons of shops and restaurants.

Great, Friendly Staff and Eco-Friendly

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Queen Anne. The room was clean and very nice. The innkeeper and the staff are exetremely friendly and were great about provide us with names of good local restaurants nearby. The Queen Anne is very eco-friendly--they recycle and compost. Everyday the breakfast at least one ingredient was picked from the garden outside. The food was delicious. Next time we go to Denver, we will staying at the Queen Anne again.

True value

I have been a guest at the Queen Anne before. The innkeeper (Milan) was an excellent host and very easy to talk with and socialize with. During this stay Milan recognized us and made us feel very welcome. Then when they had an unexpected cancellation he upgraded us to a suite. It was a kind and thoughtful touch. The ideas that Milan infuses his bed and breakfast with are fresh and very area friendly. I will stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Great place to stay in Denver!

3.4 on May 26, 2011

The Queen Anne was a wonderful place to stay the staff and owner created a friendly atmosphere. Our room, Rooftop, is a small but nice room and perfect for us. The view from the balcony was incredible. Breakfast was really good. We got to enjoy Indian aloo paratha (potato stuffed naan). Which I’ve never had for breakfast before but we both really enjoyed ours! Breakfast included fresh ingredients from the garden outside and the originality of the days choices made it one of the best breakfast I have had in a while. The location is across the street from a park, that was filled with people and dogs all day. It is very convenient as it is within a mile or so of downtown we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Far superior to staying in a downtown hotel

4.8 on May 23, 2011

The price is right, the rooms are totally unique, and the staff rules. There was a cocktail reception outside during my stay, where the staff was cooking pizzas in an outdoor oven. All free! And the location is perfect for downtown business. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We went after our wedding- and were so pleased with the friendly service from all the staff. Our room was clean and had green features. It is a great location in Denver; our drive to different activities was minimal. Breakfast was delicious each morning.

Great location, friendly staff, nice and comfortable

4.8 on May 11, 2011

We reserved the Oak room, which actually appears to be off the dining room - so not very private - but, we were automatically upgraded to the Garden room (I'm guessing they always do this unless they're full) - halfway basement level, thus more private, as well as being cute and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast, and ask the staff to point you toward the B Cycles - a great resource for getting around Denver!

Outstanding in every respect

5 on May 07, 2011

This is a gem of a B&B close to the center of Denver. The innkeeper and staff are friendly, knowedgeable, and efficient. Rooms are clean, distinctive, and comfortable. Breakfast different each of the 5 nights we stayed there.

A gem!

4.6 on May 05, 2011

Stayed for three nights while in Denver for a conference. Area immediately north is a bit "sketchy" (mostly parking lots, etc), but didn't seem too seedy either. Within two blocks you're in downtown Denver, about a 15-minute walk to the Colorado Convention Center, probably about the same to the Colorado State Capitol. Breakfast was delicious -- and they were willing to start breakfast about 45 minutes earlier on Sat and Sun since many of us had early conference sessions to get to. (Many B&Bs that I've stayed in have been unwilling to do this.) Building is beautiful -- my room was the cheapest (Oak) and the only minuses were a lack of a closet and being right off the dining room, but it was very quiet after 8pm, so it wasn't really a huge deal. I think if I stayed there again I'd probably select a slightly "better" room, but again, not a big deal for the price. WiFi worked great. Staff was friendly and helpful without being too "in your face". If I come back, I would definitely stay here.

Great place to stay

5 on April 23, 2011

I recently had the pleasure to stay at the Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast. I was in Denver for a conference and a friend of mine recommended to go to the Queen Anne instead of staying in one of the big hotel chains downtown and I'm very happy she did. The place is great with a nice garden, all rooms are different and special (I stayed in several rooms), on easy walking distance from the conference hotels downtown and the very friendly and personal service and breakfast are spectacular: fresh cooked breakfast every day with organic ingredients as well as a wonderful happy hour with local wines, cheeses and dips, and for the business traveller very important: free and well working wifi. The Queen Anne is great value for money. I cannot recommend this place enough. In fact one day I had an early breakfast meeting in one of the hotels downtown, after looking at the buffet I decided to stick to just a tea and go back to the Queen Anne after the meeting to have a proper breakfast. Milan and team: thanks a lot for the great stay. Next time in Denver I sure know where to stay.

Perfect wedding night

Best "Home Away From Home" in Denver

4.8 on February 12, 2011

The Queen Anne Inn is a gem. I used to stay at the impersonal downtown "Brand X" hotels with big lobbies, banks of high-rise elevators, the "hidden" costs of parking, internet access fees, etc., and the inconvenience of getting that all-important first cup of coffee in the morning. At the Queen Anne Inn, I finish a long day of meetings and come back to a place that feels like a home-away-from-home. I can choose either the solitude of my lovely, well-appointed room, or spend time in conversation with other guests over a glass of wine and the Inn's delicious hors d'oeuvres. In the morning, my first cup of coffee is just steps away. I am not a "morning person," but have found the conversations with other guests over the Inn's delicious breakfasts delightful. I have encountered honeymooning newly-weds to European scientists in town for an international conference. Like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get; what a treat. Milan Doshi, the owner, is a wonderful host: he is warm, caring and a delight to talk to, but he also has a great intuition for knowing when to step back and let a guest have his or her space/time/quiet. This is true of all the staff I've encountered. OF NOTE: the Queen Anne Inn is as close to anything in Denver as the Big Box hotels in the downtown core. Frankly, because of the Inn's location it is much easier to negotiate the streets of Denver than from the downtown hotels. So while the Inn may not be "downtown," it is perfectly located for accessing anything one needs in Denver. I now stay at the Queen Anne Inn every time I go to Denver, and have recommended the Inn to everyone I know.

We stayed overnight for dinner and a show. The night inkeeper was VERY friendly and helpful and showed us around the houses and our room. She took the time to show us the features in our room as well. We stayed in suite 2, which had it's own hottub. It was a great way to relax before dinner. The tub was also outstanding, a nice deep clawfoot. I really liked the Jason products in the bathroom, and how they are a "green" inn. Also, the books that people wrote in about the past stays were great fun to read through! Breakfast the next day was delicious, but my husband would have prefered more protein choices (we had waffles and fruit, but cereal and scones were also available). All and all, it was a wonderful relaxing night and we look forward to coming back in the summer to take advantage of the garden.

Went to Denver with girlfriend for a short vacation in January. Had our room upgraded to a suite by the owner for no cost the day before we arrived! The room was amazing, only second to the food and service. The staff were very generous and helpful with all our needs. The location was great, a 10 minute walk from downtown or the uptown area. If you are looking for a place to stay in Denver, this is where it needs to be. Fantastic stay!

Room was nice for how old the building is. However, it was ice cold in the room when we arrived and the only source of heat was a small heating fan. We were told to leave the door to the room open to allow the heat from the hallway to permeate. Breakfast was good but nothing spectacular.

Great Stay...

We had a wonderful stay at the Quenn Anne, I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a truly unique Denver experience. With all of the local, sustainable and neaufilly designed furnishings/decor/food/accommodations at the Queen Anne, you can't beat this experience anywhere else in Denver. We had a small issue with the Hot Tub in our room, it wasn't working properly, but the staff made every effort to fix it, even late into the evening, and went well out of their way to make it right. They seemed so embarrassed, even when they couldn't have controlled for the hot tub breaking that day, it was dumb luck, but they still made us feel special. The food was incredible, and we had an incredibly romantic evening, even without the tub!!!

During my stay, this B&B turned out to be a fantastic. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly. The breakfast is delicious and they even offer free bikes to guests. The only item is the location is great but within close vicinity to a not so desirable neighborhood. I had a car, so did not mean much, but to walk around, I was told by locals to be careful.

Engagement Weekend

Took my girlfriend there to propose to her. Went very well. Called ahead and had roses in the room, staff was very helpfull. Short walk to downtown, but kind of sketchy after 9 or so. I will be going back.

Queen Anne B&B absolutely the BEST

What a wonderful and romantic Inn even though I was staying there for a conference. the hospitality ranks is as good as it gets and even better. Milan is an excellent chef and the entire staff is so very nice and very helpful. The bed was so comfortable, I'm going to order one of those beds. Peaceful, beautiful, so very comfortable and the wine was excellent.~Judi

the green place to stay in Denver

I enjoyed my stay and found the staff very helpful. I had to leave before breakfast in the mornings, but was always sure to find cereal and milk available. The happy hour was also pleasant, rooms quite clean, a little too much ambient light in my room, but still slept well.

Affordable, Beautiful, Delicious

For the same price (if not a few dollars less!) than staying in a mega-hotel (read: impersonal service) downtown, try the Queen Anne for the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on, the best breakfast in town, and free bikes to check out and ride around town!

View of the city at night from the hot tub

When they found out it it was our 39th wedding aniversary they upgraded our room that had come available at no extra charge to us. Really nice people.

Such a charming place

Had a great time, so private, romantic. The food was absolutely lovely, and the grounds were so peaceful and welcoming. Thanks for a fabulous stay. We will be coming back to stay in each room.

Nice stay in great location

First rate location - within walking distance of museums and downtown Denver, yet across the street from a park and surrounded by period homes. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast in the garden was pleasant. We would stay there again.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful inn!

Pumpkin pancakes were burnt at the first breakfast but the next 2 breakfasts were wonderful! Great afternoon happy hour times to chat with the other guests. The hosts and staff were great!

Great place!

Since it's easier to trust an A than an A++...

The Queen Anne reminded me how different an experience traveling can be when one has the opportunity to stay in a small independent hotel. Quite honestly, the best part of my stay in Denver was my time in this wonderful B&B. The owner's attention to detail was impressive - everything from the soap to the table sugar had been chosen with great care, and nearly everything we were provided with or served was either organic, local, or fair trade. This little gem isn't a hippie house, though - it is beautifully decorated and has a feel of quiet luxury throughout the rooms, garden, and house. I would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Denver area. I realize that compared to some hotels, the price is a bit high...but wouldn't you rather support a small business with excellent service and homemade, fresh breakfasts instead of some big chain? They even have a Happy Hour from 5-7 with wine from the area and fresh snacks. The Queen Anne is, without a doubt, the best hotel/B&B experience I have ever had.

B&B Keeps It Green

Milan at Queen Anne cares about the environment as much as he cares about the comfort of your stay. An extravagance you can feel good about.

in the heart of downtown Denver

This B&B is pretty from outside and the common areas are very nice. The owner and manager are very nice and attentive to customers needs. This is in the heart of dowtown, close access to many attractions. We stayed in "rooftop" room. It was nice but not for the hefty price of over $200 per night. Two things we did not like- small bathroom and slanted ceilings on one side of the room making it difficult to manuever. Two things we liked, the ample walk in closet and the "to die for" hot tub on private deck with view of city scape. I would recommend this place but do be aware of the cost vs what you get if you book the "rooftop".

Okay but not fabulous

My husband and I try to stay in a different B&B every year for our anniversary. This was our first stay at Queen Anne and it was a lovely place, but not our favorite. Pluses: beautiful historic building, walking distance to downtown, jetted tub for 2 in the room, very environmentally-focused, wine & cheese happy hour every afternoon. Minuses: overpriced, room felt stark and too modern, breakfast was ho hum.

Great Energy

My husband and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in 10 minutes. The Queen Anne has a very special place in our hearts. We stayed here when we were first in love. We live downtown so we drive by it often, it always brings a smile to my face. The Queen Anne is breathtakingly beautiful. Your home has a powerful energy, thank you for your hospitality. We will be back soon. The Fountain Room is the best, the morning light is spectacular.
