Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast Inn

We stayed in the Aspen room, it was very pretty. Queen Anne's is very inexpensive in comparison to other hotels in the Denver area... It was very clean. Even though all the other rooms were occupied it seemed as though we were all alone, until breakfast. We went downstairs and had some great conversation with the other travelers. Breakfast was amazing. We were traveling Co. for our anniversary, and the inn keeper/ owner was very pleasant and fun to talk to. The location was perfect as we could walk to a lot of the attractions. Literally 3 minutes of walking and we were downtown... first at the mint, then shopping at the mall, it really was perfect!! Thanks!! Hope this is helpful to someone... :)

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and found the Queen Anne online. We were intrigued by the heritage of the building and appreciated the modern twist.

We stayed in the Rooftop Room. Relaxing in the private jacuzzi each evening with the beautiful views of downtown Denver and the mountains was an incredible end to the day. The breakfasts were phenomenal - delicious and indulgent. Milan and his staff were warm and welcoming - the perfect hosts. Highly, highly recommend the Queen Anne B&B!

We stayed in the rooftop suite with the private balcony and hot tub. It was so relaxing! The staff and owner were accomodating but not intrusive. I will definitelt come back when i get the chance.

Stayed in the Rooftop room. It was perfect and romantic. The hot tub was clean. The breakfast was great. The room was quiet. I will definitely be staying there again for another romantic night.

A great place to be!! The home is beautifully remodeled. We stayed in the Rooftop room and loved it! Considering the attic location, the room is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. There is a walk in closet so you are not tripping over your luggage, etc. I had read that the beds were uncomfortable and hard, that the sheets were scratchy, and the room was too small or awkward. I found none of this to be true. The room's roof is angled (not a surprise if you look at the photos) but you are in the attic of an old home, if you're surprised by the layout, you're not paying attention! This is the charm of B&Bs... All the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The food is all vegetarian friendly (eggs are served). Although as a meateater the dietary choice wasn't a selling point for me, the food was still great! I would stay here again in a heartbeat... I would love to stay in a completely different room for a new experience, as every other guest we spoke with said they loved their room.

I really enjoyed my stay. Staff was low key and friendly. I was able to check in late with no hassles. Breakfast was great! Delicious scones! I liked the almost 2 hour window to eat breakfast. Happy hour was also a nod treat. The staff was very accommodating...modifying the breakfast for me and adding a night to my stay at the last minute. Joneseys restaurant across the street is a really good spot for dinner. I will definitely come back!

Fantastic homes, Sarah was spectacular as Hostess, near amazing restaurants (Avenue Grill is fabulous!), the garden was beautiful, and the park across the street was nice. It was better than the pictures show online. I would stay there any time, any day! I could only stay one day/night, but so wished I could have stayed all week. The other guests were warm, friendly and we all felt like we all knew each other for years.

The innkeeper was phenomenal. His level of customer service was outstanding. My husband and I were later than we planned arriving and the innkeeper had left us detailed notes on how to let ourselves in. He was quick to accommodate an in-room breakfast the next day without question. The food was delicious! The only piece that was less than expected was the size of the room. We felt that the pictures on-line were slightly deceptive. We both had assumed our room would be slightly bigger than it was. Though it was very comfortable, both the room and the bathroom were smaller than we had anticipated.

Room was ready to go when we arrived. Breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable. One of the better B&B's I've stayed in, will definitely be staying there during my next Denver visit.

This was a great alternative to a big, expensive hotel in downtown Denver. The houses are tastefully decorated with historical significance that makes them also interesting. Our room was comfortable. We attended a Rockies baseball game--it was a pleasant 8 block walk to the stadium. We would definitely stay at the Queen Anne again.

Very nice garden, about a mile+ from Union Station. I had to leave early on the two mornings I stayed, so could not enjoy breakfast and did not meet any other guests, but service was very graceful and friendly.

Sarah was great as the inn-keeper. We liked the urban "green" feeling and appreciated the garden, room and the hot tub in the roof top room. The place is clean, quaint and way more personal. We like small and local. Great location for biking or walking to Denver attractions.

My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Queen Anne and had a wonderful time. The staff were wonderful from the reservation process all the way through check-out. We really enjoyed the quirkiness of Local Artist Suite #4--totally unique from anything else you'll find in the area! The whole B&B was gorgeous inside and out with beautiful furnishings, local artworks, and lush gardens. Super clean, delicious food, and surprisingly quiet for the area. The fact that they are environmentally-friendly and support local business was an added bonus, too. Highly recommended!

Once a year I travel to Denver for business, and I won't stay anywhere but the Queen Anne. Exceptional food, service and hospitality.

The decor was interesting and very nice. The place was clean and the food was very good. The staff was pleasant also. We stayed in two different rooms and I didn't find either bed very comfortable. My friend, who never complains about anything, only found fault with one of them. The food was definitely the high point of our stay.

Denver bike share station just one block away so we used bikes from station to bike around Denver City Park. Enjoyed the happy hour wine. Breakfast was great and very nice out on patio on good weather day.

We loved every aspect of our stay at the Queen Anne. The rooms are beautifully designed, the food is delicious, and the innkeepers are great people. We feel like we got to know Denver in a truly unique way though the Inn's connection with the community. The location is convenient to many cool Denver sites, neighborhoods, and restaurants. We can't wait to return!

We stayed in the Rooftop room, with the private deck and hot tub. The hot tub was fantastic - they use chlorine-free natural sanitizers in the water, so it was very pleasant, especially at night with the string lights lit up. The establishment appears to be eco-conscious whenever possible, which I appreciate. The room itself was pretty small and the sloped ceiling on one side requires you to bend over to get to one side of the bed; the shower is also against the slope side, which made showering very difficult. Breakfast was superb - I requested a special vegan meal and was accommodated wonderfully, despite breakfast time being VERY busy when we were there. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The historic district borders a not-so-nice edge of town, but security measures in and around the building made us feel very safe. Overall, it was a lovely experience!

Our stay at the Queen Anne B&B was amazing. The innkeepers were helpful and recommended a great place for lunch. The room exceeded our expectations. I would stay here again and recommend it to any friends that travel to Denver.

We only stayed for one night but the host hooked us up with fun places to check out on foot. We loved our room and the garden. The owner/chef was very accommodating of our food restrictions. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous! We look forward to returning here again (and for longer than one night)!

This bed and breakfast was very clean, including the hot tub attached to the room we stayed in. It was amazing to see Coors Field from our deck. The breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed here because of it's proximity to Downtown Denver and the photos of the food looked delicious. I had seen (apparently an older) photo of a whirlpool outside and thought that was an option as well. We were really looking forward to the wine and cheese reception, but missed it because we stopped to buy a swimsuit on the way since we realized we had forgotten them. We were very pleased with the condition of our room and although there were many other guests, it was very quiet in our room. Great shower; very hot water that made up for the misunderstanding on my part about the whirlpool. Our bed was very comfortable. We were able to walk to the 16th Street area in about 10 or 15 minutes. The only downside for us was that the window unit air conditioner was right beside our headboard and it disrupted our sleep since we aren't used to sleeping with such a loud noise--although compared to no A/C, I'll take the noise! We would love to come again and stay in a room with a whirlpool. We'll have to make reservations a little further in advance next time. Our breakfast was very delicious. We liked having the option of eating indoors at a large table with other guests, or eating in the garden. The food choice was creative and delicious. We were very impressed with the sustainable garden and the effort to be provided with local and organic options. The coffee was a bit robust for our taste, but enjoyable.

Queen Anne has the comforts of home with the easy location of downtown. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Plan to stay there whenever I go to Denver.

Great location. Owner was very warm, friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this place for its hospitality, locally grown food and warmth. They take great pride in ownership. The room we stayed in was clean and adequate.

The room with the jacuzzi tub was fantastic, breakfast was wonderful, and the garden was amazing.

We had a three night stay at the Queen Anne. Arriving a little past our expected check-in time due to train delay, we were met by friendly Sara who gave us a quick tour and invited us to enjoy the wine and appetizers. Our garden room was comfortable and quiet, except for the hum of the air conditioner. Denver was having a heat wave and the room needed continuous cooling to be comfortable. We took our breakfast trays to the garden every morning. The food was just wonderful, simple but prepared with attention to detail and with added surprises like lavender buds for an unexpected burst of flavor. We commend the Queen Anne for its support of local produce and avoidance of disposable materials. The location close to downtown allowed us to walk to the art museum and other attractions. The front porch was a shady place to relax with a glass of iced tea and watch the world go by. We really enjoyed our stay with Milan and his crew.

Remember that the room rate includes not only Milan's wonderful breakfasts but also parking, and wine and hors d'oeuvre. Breakfast for two will run you at least $20 in a restaurant plus the time to get there and park. Parking at downtown hotels is another $20 per day. Add in happy hour and you're now getting at least $50-worth of goodies over and above a comfortable bed in a delightfully unique setting!

B&B was a true urban oasis in downtown Denver. The owners are understandably proud of their gorgeous property. Everything at the B&B, down to the wood furniture, is locally-sourced. The delicious produce comes from their backyard and the neighboring community garden. The sun tea was amazing! I wish we could've stayed longer. Thank you!

It was a bit expensive, but we stayed in the Rooftop Room and enjoyed the hot tub (probably more enjoyable in cold weather than in the summer) and the breakfast in the morning! Bed was comfortable, too, and the whole house was charming.

the Gardens are beautiful, the rooms comfortable, the staff friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I most appreciated the value put into organic, local food & wine. We had stayed at the Queen Anne a couple of years ago while the older owners were still there, altho it was pleasent and clean it felt very stoggy and stuffy. Recently we stayed again and were surprised to be met at the door by a younger smile and energy. The new owners are GENIUS! there is art now by local artist, an updated feel/look while holding onto the "quaint" just outside of everyday. a very green enviroment. We stayed in Gallery 1 with the private hot tub. I'm not a tubber mostly out of all the chemicals nessary to make it clean. The owners even invest in green products to clean the tub with that didn't leave me feeling dried out. All in all we have started a weekly fund to come and stay often! Thanks to the staff and owners for making a cool place a warm place.

Stayed at the Queen Anne in Nov. for a conference in Dnever. It is a wonderful Inn. The staff and inn keeper provided great information about local places and the breakfaster were amazing. The Queen Anne is now the benchmark for all other B & Bs. Can't wait to go back to Denver!

Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly. Because they were not full when we got there they bumped us up to a nicer and much larger room with a jaccuzzi tub for two which was wonderful. The bed was pretty uncomfortable though. It felt cheap, vs luxury pillow tops i am used to at B&Bs, though I imagine it was probably organic and sustainable like the rest of the place which in a mattress can be less comfortable.

We stayed at the Queen Anne for the first night of our honeymoon. Eco-friendliness was a priority for us and they did not disappoint. They even had herbs growing in the backyard garden for use in the kitchen! Breakfast was delicious; we were served waffles that were made once we came downstairs so they were hot off the waffle iron! The 16th Street Mall was an easy 10-minute walk, which offered tons of shops and restaurants.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Queen Anne. The room was clean and very nice. The innkeeper and the staff are exetremely friendly and were great about provide us with names of good local restaurants nearby. The Queen Anne is very eco-friendly--they recycle and compost. Everyday the breakfast at least one ingredient was picked from the garden outside. The food was delicious. Next time we go to Denver, we will staying at the Queen Anne again.

The breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were very clean. The innkeepers were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. It was more relaxing than at a hotel. We will be staying there again next time we are in Denver.

I have been a guest at the Queen Anne before. The innkeeper (Milan) was an excellent host and very easy to talk with and socialize with. During this stay Milan recognized us and made us feel very welcome. Then when they had an unexpected cancellation he upgraded us to a suite. It was a kind and thoughtful touch. The ideas that Milan infuses his bed and breakfast with are fresh and very area friendly. I will stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The Queen Anne was a wonderful place to stay the staff and owner created a friendly atmosphere. Our room, Rooftop, is a small but nice room and perfect for us. The view from the balcony was incredible. Breakfast was really good. We got to enjoy Indian aloo paratha (potato stuffed naan). Which I’ve never had for breakfast before but we both really enjoyed ours! Breakfast included fresh ingredients from the garden outside and the originality of the days choices made it one of the best breakfast I have had in a while. The location is across the street from a park, that was filled with people and dogs all day. It is very convenient as it is within a mile or so of downtown we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The price is right, the rooms are totally unique, and the staff rules. There was a cocktail reception outside during my stay, where the staff was cooking pizzas in an outdoor oven. All free! And the location is perfect for downtown business. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We went after our wedding- and were so pleased with the friendly service from all the staff. Our room was clean and had green features. It is a great location in Denver; our drive to different activities was minimal. Breakfast was delicious each morning.

We reserved the Oak room, which actually appears to be off the dining room - so not very private - but, we were automatically upgraded to the Garden room (I'm guessing they always do this unless they're full) - halfway basement level, thus more private, as well as being cute and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast, and ask the staff to point you toward the B Cycles - a great resource for getting around Denver!

This is a gem of a B&B close to the center of Denver. The innkeeper and staff are friendly, knowedgeable, and efficient. Rooms are clean, distinctive, and comfortable. Breakfast different each of the 5 nights we stayed there.

Stayed for three nights while in Denver for a conference. Area immediately north is a bit "sketchy" (mostly parking lots, etc), but didn't seem too seedy either. Within two blocks you're in downtown Denver, about a 15-minute walk to the Colorado Convention Center, probably about the same to the Colorado State Capitol. Breakfast was delicious -- and they were willing to start breakfast about 45 minutes earlier on Sat and Sun since many of us had early conference sessions to get to. (Many B&Bs that I've stayed in have been unwilling to do this.) Building is beautiful -- my room was the cheapest (Oak) and the only minuses were a lack of a closet and being right off the dining room, but it was very quiet after 8pm, so it wasn't really a huge deal. I think if I stayed there again I'd probably select a slightly "better" room, but again, not a big deal for the price. WiFi worked great. Staff was friendly and helpful without being too "in your face". If I come back, I would definitely stay here.

I recently had the pleasure to stay at the Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast. I was in Denver for a conference and a friend of mine recommended to go to the Queen Anne instead of staying in one of the big hotel chains downtown and I'm very happy she did. The place is great with a nice garden, all rooms are different and special (I stayed in several rooms), on easy walking distance from the conference hotels downtown and the very friendly and personal service and breakfast are spectacular: fresh cooked breakfast every day with organic ingredients as well as a wonderful happy hour with local wines, cheeses and dips, and for the business traveller very important: free and well working wifi. The Queen Anne is great value for money. I cannot recommend this place enough. In fact one day I had an early breakfast meeting in one of the hotels downtown, after looking at the buffet I decided to stick to just a tea and go back to the Queen Anne after the meeting to have a proper breakfast. Milan and team: thanks a lot for the great stay. Next time in Denver I sure know where to stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Queen Anne just after we got married. Although the Rooftop room isn't large, the balcony and hot tub more than made up for it. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious!

The Queen Anne B&B was a great alternative to the typical high rise accommodations in downtown Denver. The location was ideal for the work I was doing, I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

We enjoyed our stay in the Aspen room. The entire place was clean and well kept. The common areas had a classy, comfortable feel. Breakfast was good, but not great. The location was great for beer tasting downtown.

The Queen Anne Inn is a gem. I used to stay at the impersonal downtown "Brand X" hotels with big lobbies, banks of high-rise elevators, the "hidden" costs of parking, internet access fees, etc., and the inconvenience of getting that all-important first cup of coffee in the morning. At the Queen Anne Inn, I finish a long day of meetings and come back to a place that feels like a home-away-from-home. I can choose either the solitude of my lovely, well-appointed room, or spend time in conversation with other guests over a glass of wine and the Inn's delicious hors d'oeuvres. In the morning, my first cup of coffee is just steps away. I am not a "morning person," but have found the conversations with other guests over the Inn's delicious breakfasts delightful. I have encountered honeymooning newly-weds to European scientists in town for an international conference. Like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get; what a treat. Milan Doshi, the owner, is a wonderful host: he is warm, caring and a delight to talk to, but he also has a great intuition for knowing when to step back and let a guest have his or her space/time/quiet. This is true of all the staff I've encountered. OF NOTE: the Queen Anne Inn is as close to anything in Denver as the Big Box hotels in the downtown core. Frankly, because of the Inn's location it is much easier to negotiate the streets of Denver than from the downtown hotels. So while the Inn may not be "downtown," it is perfectly located for accessing anything one needs in Denver. I now stay at the Queen Anne Inn every time I go to Denver, and have recommended the Inn to everyone I know.

We had a room on ground level with a hot tub and patio and amazing 70 degree temps in January! My sister loved the art work as well.

We love the friendly staff and close proximity to downtown.

We stayed overnight for dinner and a show. The night inkeeper was VERY friendly and helpful and showed us around the houses and our room. She took the time to show us the features in our room as well. We stayed in suite 2, which had it's own hottub. It was a great way to relax before dinner. The tub was also outstanding, a nice deep clawfoot. I really liked the Jason products in the bathroom, and how they are a "green" inn. Also, the books that people wrote in about the past stays were great fun to read through! Breakfast the next day was delicious, but my husband would have prefered more protein choices (we had waffles and fruit, but cereal and scones were also available). All and all, it was a wonderful relaxing night and we look forward to coming back in the summer to take advantage of the garden.

Went to Denver with girlfriend for a short vacation in January. Had our room upgraded to a suite by the owner for no cost the day before we arrived! The room was amazing, only second to the food and service. The staff were very generous and helpful with all our needs. The location was great, a 10 minute walk from downtown or the uptown area. If you are looking for a place to stay in Denver, this is where it needs to be. Fantastic stay!

Top shelf, Aces, Perfect. Great history, amazing attention to detail, Homey yet elegant. Gourmet potato pancakes to die for. Bed more comfortable than home.

Room was nice for how old the building is. However, it was ice cold in the room when we arrived and the only source of heat was a small heating fan. We were told to leave the door to the room open to allow the heat from the hallway to permeate. Breakfast was good but nothing spectacular.

We had a wonderful stay at the Quenn Anne, I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a truly unique Denver experience. With all of the local, sustainable and neaufilly designed furnishings/decor/food/accommodations at the Queen Anne, you can't beat this experience anywhere else in Denver. We had a small issue with the Hot Tub in our room, it wasn't working properly, but the staff made every effort to fix it, even late into the evening, and went well out of their way to make it right. They seemed so embarrassed, even when they couldn't have controlled for the hot tub breaking that day, it was dumb luck, but they still made us feel special. The food was incredible, and we had an incredibly romantic evening, even without the tub!!!

We really enjoyed our "stay-cation". It felt like we were miles and miles away. The room was amazing and the breakfast was beyond delicious.

My wife and I stayed at the Queen Anne for several days while I was attending a convention. The facility was excellent--warm, comfortable, with great staff who responded quickly to any of our needs. The location is great! We were able to walk to all the destinations and events we chose, even in the cold weather. We had a memorable time and felt almost as if we had a bit of home away from home. We always enjoyed turning the corner of the street and seeing the lights of "home."

During my stay, this B&B turned out to be a fantastic. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly. The breakfast is delicious and they even offer free bikes to guests. The only item is the location is great but within close vicinity to a not so desirable neighborhood. I had a car, so did not mean much, but to walk around, I was told by locals to be careful.

Took my girlfriend there to propose to her. Went very well. Called ahead and had roses in the room, staff was very helpfull. Short walk to downtown, but kind of sketchy after 9 or so. I will be going back.

What a wonderful and romantic Inn even though I was staying there for a conference. the hospitality ranks is as good as it gets and even better. Milan is an excellent chef and the entire staff is so very nice and very helpful. The bed was so comfortable, I'm going to order one of those beds. Peaceful, beautiful, so very comfortable and the wine was excellent.~Judi

I enjoyed my stay and found the staff very helpful. I had to leave before breakfast in the mornings, but was always sure to find cereal and milk available. The happy hour was also pleasant, rooms quite clean, a little too much ambient light in my room, but still slept well.

For the same price (if not a few dollars less!) than staying in a mega-hotel (read: impersonal service) downtown, try the Queen Anne for the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on, the best breakfast in town, and free bikes to check out and ride around town!

When they found out it it was our 39th wedding aniversary they upgraded our room that had come available at no extra charge to us. Really nice people.

The Queen Anne reminded me how different an experience traveling can be when one has the opportunity to stay in a small independent hotel. Quite honestly, the best part of my stay in Denver was my time in this wonderful B&B. The owner's attention to detail was impressive - everything from the soap to the table sugar had been chosen with great care, and nearly everything we were provided with or served was either organic, local, or fair trade. This little gem isn't a hippie house, though - it is beautifully decorated and has a feel of quiet luxury throughout the rooms, garden, and house. I would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Denver area. I realize that compared to some hotels, the price is a bit high...but wouldn't you rather support a small business with excellent service and homemade, fresh breakfasts instead of some big chain? They even have a Happy Hour from 5-7 with wine from the area and fresh snacks. The Queen Anne is, without a doubt, the best hotel/B&B experience I have ever had.

Milan at Queen Anne cares about the environment as much as he cares about the comfort of your stay. An extravagance you can feel good about.

This B&B is pretty from outside and the common areas are very nice. The owner and manager are very nice and attentive to customers needs. This is in the heart of dowtown, close access to many attractions. We stayed in "rooftop" room. It was nice but not for the hefty price of over $200 per night. Two things we did not like- small bathroom and slanted ceilings on one side of the room making it difficult to manuever. Two things we liked, the ample walk in closet and the "to die for" hot tub on private deck with view of city scape. I would recommend this place but do be aware of the cost vs what you get if you book the "rooftop".

My husband and I try to stay in a different B&B every year for our anniversary. This was our first stay at Queen Anne and it was a lovely place, but not our favorite. Pluses: beautiful historic building, walking distance to downtown, jetted tub for 2 in the room, very environmentally-focused, wine & cheese happy hour every afternoon. Minuses: overpriced, room felt stark and too modern, breakfast was ho hum.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in 10 minutes. The Queen Anne has a very special place in our hearts. We stayed here when we were first in love. We live downtown so we drive by it often, it always brings a smile to my face. The Queen Anne is breathtakingly beautiful. Your home has a powerful energy, thank you for your hospitality. We will be back soon. The Fountain Room is the best, the morning light is spectacular.
