A vacation from our vacation! While visiting family my husband and I got away for one night to the wonderful Holden House. It was just perfect. Great value, great service, kind people, great food, comfy beds and great soaking tub. We had a very relaxing and sweet time. We even got sent home with homemade cookies and chocolates! Very close to Old Colorado city, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods. Highly recommend this B & B!

Very beautifully furnished, a lovely getaway. Quant, a step back in time that makes you leave all your cares at the front door.

The rooms are cute, they have endless chocolate chip cookies and breakfast was amazing! The area is fun to walk around and see the shops a short distance away in old Colorado City.

PIKES PEAK BY BIKE ADVENTURE: Join the thousands of visitors who have experienced the Ultimate Ride. Your 20 mile downhill adventure from the summit of the world's most famous mountain...Pikes Peak, will stay in your memories long after your vacation is over. The trip begins at Challenge Unlimited's office, just one mile from Holden House, where participants will be greeted by enthusiastic bike guides who will have you sign release forms, feed you breakfast, and fit you with helmets and gear. You'll be loaded up in fifteen passenger vans and head for the summit of Pikes Peak (14,110 feet). Once on the summit guides will give you detailed instructions on biking and riding safety. Off you go... As you descend down the mountain, you'll pass through five different life zones, each zone having a different climate, different vegetation and wildlife. Keep your eyes open for eagles, deer, elk, Rocky Mountain Big Horn sheep, black bears, marmots, and an occasional mountain lion. Your descent will take two-and-a-half to three hours. The ride finishes at the world-famous "Wines of Colorado," where you will be served a delicious lunch.
