Niki is a thoughtful and passionate innkeeper. This lovely well appointed home a few blocks from downtown Breckinridge is a gem. The Sweatheart room was small for us so next time, and there will be a next time, we'll choose a larger one. Breakfast was very good. Niki recommended a fabulous place for dinner - Hearthstone. Save up your cans and bottles for a first class dining experience when you visit.

My husband and I stayed there off season. We thought it was very so-so. The problem was that the owner and wife were not as friendly as we are accustomed to. The breakfast was average. The living room was a nice place to hand out, and they had a really nice hot tub to soak in, which we appreciated. There were videos one could view. However, the room was extremely tiny, and my husband kept bumping his head going into the room. it was truly the smallest room we had ever been in, in a B & B. Also, we were the only guests, and it wouldn't have been a major inconvenience for the owners to have upgraded us to a larger room.

Our bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and filling. Close to everything in town-walking distance, free parking is a plus! Wireless internet is a great benefit, too. Loved it!

We stayed for 2 nights in Aug. It was very pleasant. I wish that the check-out time had been noon rather than 10:00 am. There was no dining there.

I stayed here with a girlfriend a couple years ago, as a place to hang out and wait for my husband who would be cycling in from Ride the Rockies. The price was so reasonable for what the B&B (we shared a suite and had a private entrance to the hottub) had to offer that I was most pleasantly surprised. Perfect location to town. Great views! Sadly, my friend died suddenly the next summer, so I am so happy we had this time together at Fireside. Candy Halliburton
