And the reason is really quite simple; Gerald Swanson, owner and proprietor of this local landmark, is a native son of Silverton and his family has lived here almost as long as there has been a town. The Villa has been owned by a single family since 1901. Gerald's grandmother raised 11 children in this house, and the Swanson's have preserved the cozy feeling of home that Gerald's grandmother and mother created.

The Villa Dallavalle Inn is located in Silverton, Colorado, which is 50 miles north of Durango and 60 miles south of Montrose. Visitors travel the San Juan Scenic Skyway (Highway 550) until a well-marked left onto Highway 110, which leads into downtown Silverton. Then proceed on Greene Street, the main boulevard through town, until you reach 13th Street.. Turn right and go one block over to Notorious Blair Street. Villa Dallavalle is on your right at the corner of 13th and Blair.
