The Teller House combines the tasteful Victorian aesthetics of the late 1800's with modern amenities, such as FREE WiFi, Hospitality/Meeting Room with cable TV and refrigerator. Each room designed beautifully with different decor. We are located in the heart of Silverton, within walking distance of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Scenic Train Depot, restaurants, shops, galleries, the #1 rated historical Museum, and the mighty Animas River.

Lovely house, each room is unique, hosts are very nice and supportive, and their slogan "make yourself at home" matches perfectly. The town itself is during the winter season extremely quiet. I have been there to ski Silverton Mountain and not for the nightlife.

The room was perfect, the bed was great and the host was very casual and accomodating. We will definately stay again.

A very pleasant stay in a nice Rocky Mountain town. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The innkeepers were helpful and knowledgeable about activities in town. They even called well in advance to make sure we understood that bathrooms are down the hall rather than in each rooms. One problem though, the wi-fi couldn't connect to the internet, but Sean was very helpful and when he couldn't resolve the problem, directed us to the coffee shop across the street; we were on vacation anyway so we didn't mind too much.

We were looking for something family-friendly and inexpensive. This place had a private, yet homey feel. Staff was welcoming, but not obtrusive. They had lots of suggestions for things to do around Silverton that we would have never known about. We'll be returning for sure!
Room 1 is a romantic retreat, or great for our individual traveler, which features a queen bed and a shared bathroom in the European style, with spa robes provided for our guests. It overlooks Silverton's main boulevard and, like all Teller House rooms, is tastefully furnished with antiques and Victorian decor, including classic wood bedframe, Tiffany lamp and lace window treatments.
Room 2, which overlooks Silverton's main boulevard, features two queen beds and a private bathroom. Ornate wood headboards give this room a truly classic Victorian feel that any family or friends traveling together will love!
Room 3, a perfectly romantic retreat for a couple, or a beautiful comfortable room for our single travelers, with a mountain view as well. This room features one queen bed and a private bathroom.
Room 6 is one of our largest and most popular rooms. It features two queen beds, a hide-a-bed sofa, and a shared bathroom in the European style, with spa robes provided for our guests. This room's decor is a tribute to the dramatic winters and outdoor trekking of the San Juan Mountains, as shown by the antique skis which adorn the brick wall.
Room 7 is a wonderfully bright room which features two queen beds and shares a lovely bath in the European style, with spa robes provided for our guests. This spacious mountain view room is sun-filled and has wrought-iron beds for the antique lover in you.
Room 8 is a beautiful room, perfect for a romantic couple's retreat, or even the business traveler. This room features a king bed and a private bathroom, and of course, a mountain view.
Room 9 is a large, open and airy room with a view of Silverton's main boulevard. This room features 2 queen beds, a hide-a-bed sofa, and a private bath. This room, like all the Teller House rooms, features original woodwork and Victorian decor.
Room 10 is a sun-filled room with a view of Silverton's main boulevard. This room features a queen bed and shares a lovely bath in the European style with spa robes provided for our guests. This brass bed frame is one of our most whimsical examples of the Victorian period.
