The Living Farm Cafe, Farm Market and Inn is located in the heart of Paonia Colorado. Featuring an Organic Farm to Table Cafe, showcasing our local organic farms and wineries, serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and dinner 6 evenings. Stay in one of our cozy rooms located on the 2nd floor of our Historical 1889 building. Comfortable Queen beds, free wi-fi, and a free sustainably grown organic breakfast is included with your room. Come and shop at our local farm market. You will find local honey, organic fruits and vegetables, grass fed beef, pastured chicken and lamb, as well as pork, buffalo and elk. Not to mention locally made jams, jellies and other treats. Soaps and lotions, arts and crafts, wool and yarn. The family behind The Living Farm are the Gillespies. Jim Gillespie, one of the original settlers moved to Paonia in 1938. Jim's son Tom born and raised on the farm is now in charge of 212 acres. He married Lynn in 1985 and they have three children, Jenny, Mike and Ben. Jenny and Ben also work on the farm. Mike went to culinary school and is now the Executive Chef for The Living Farm Cafe.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Living Farm Inn in Paonia. It just opened in July, so we only found out about it word-of-mouth. The rooms were newly remodeled and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was outstanding. We were so excited to experience a dinner and then breakfast of all organic foods and meats. I wish we had such a place to eat in at home. If you have specific needs in your room, you should ask as each room it set up slightly different. The Wi-Fi worked perfect, but our room did not have a table for my laptop. My sister's room had a table, but no closet. (Really no big deal!) p.s. The autumn drive over McClure past was outstanding! p.s.s AT&T cell phone service works great in Paonia, but Verizon does not. We had to go to the cemetary above town to make some phone calls -- the view was terrific!
