A guest knows they’re in for something unique the moment their footstep echoes off the lobby’s hardwood floor. For some it may be the hand stitched leather chairs, the glass work or the custom forged wood burning stove. For others it may be the biographies and pictures hanging on the walls, documenting some of the Hotel’s most exciting guests (such as Teddy Roosevelt). And for many more it will be the world-renowned trophies of non-typical elk and mule deer The Meeker Hotel opened in 1886 in an old Army barracks. By 1896 it was time for a new building so the center portion of the hotel was erected. The structure standing today was finished in 1904. We are very proud that the Meeker Hotel has been in operation for over 120 years and look forward to the opportunity to share some of the western hospitality that has been a specialty for so long. So if you are interested in becoming better acquainted with an off-the- beaten path, piece of history than please take the time to look our site over--- or stop by for a visit! We have a variety of custom rooms and an excellent restaurant open all day long. We look forward to sharing this wonderful building and its stories with you.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at your hotel. Everyone were great. We appreciated the way all of you took care of us while we were scouted for elk. I think my son and his friends are thinking about a fishing trip to Meeker this coming spring. I would like to bring my wife and enjoy your hotel and café. thanks for your service. D.L.Gower of W.Va.

Very interesting history of the area, especially to do with hunting. Rooms nicely done, a bit cramped at times, but if not spending a lot of time in the room, it is fine.

In order to watch the TV (13") over the footboard on the bed, we had to set it on top of one of the dresser drawers. I towel hook in the bathroom would of been nice, some place to put a wet towel or hang clothes. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet for the most part.

This was a neat place. The mounts in the lobby are incredible. Definitely not your ordinary hotel.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. The staff was great and the hotel was so cute and very western. I loved the fact that they have a common room with all the comforts of your own kitchen/living room. There could have been a little more light in our room and there was no where to hang anything in our room. But really that would not be a reason to not stay here. It was a real pleasure to stay there and I will recommend it to all my friends and family.

This is one of the best hotels in Colorado! I frequently stay here on business trips. Nancy and the rest of the staff are wonderful people. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The two closest places to stay (Rifle&Craig) have nothing compared to the Meeker Hotel. Highly recommended by an experienced traveler! Ben Mendenhall
