The Dove Inn had a very cozy atmosphere and offered a sens of home away from home. The home was beautifully decorated as per the period but with all the modern conveniences. Elizabeth made us feel quite at home with stories of her new puppy and offered several good idea for local hikes. All in all I would highly recommend the Dove Inn for anyone wanting a quiet place but in the center of Golden.

Golden wasn't too exciting, but the Dove Inn sure was nice. Elizabeth was a big help and breakfast was delicious. Recommended.

Never have I found a place that was so comfortable, in every way, that I wasn't ready to get home from.....until now. I didn't want to leave. The bed was the most comfortable bed (other than my own) that I have ever slept in. The food was amazing. The house has 8 guest rooms and was full the entire time we were there, but we never a noise. We spent most nights sitting outside, drinking local wine and enjoying the weather and view. The location is perfect and you can walk to EVERYTHING. I loved everything about my stay at The Dove Inn and about Golden. The food, the shopping, the wine, the history, the people, the views or the surrounding mountains, the fresh air......I miss it so and would go back in a heartbeat.....for a day....or forever!

We spent one night at the Inn. It was quiet and clean. The breakfast was very good, but for a bicyclist it might need a few more calories. The homemade granola was outstanding. The welcome was great and we did not expect to be able to have our bike so securely stored over night - inside the house especially since it was a tandem!! Thank you for a very warn welcome and stay!

The inn was located a short walk from town and hiking trails. It is a beautiful old house. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. We were in town to see a concert at Red Rocks. Elizabeth was kind enough to let us borrow a blanket and ponchos. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was wonderful!! Homemade cookies were available anytime of day.
