Our trip to Estes Park was a last minute "surprise" as we were all the way across the state in Ouray when we decided to meet friends in Estes on our last day in Colorado. At the height of the fall colors, it looked grim in finding a place, but Monica got a cancellation after we talked with her early in the day and was very persistent in reaching us to confirm, even though we were driving over the Grand Mesa and kept losing her calls! Nonetheless, her efforts to provide us accommodations matched her hospitality, and this B&B is a treat to stay at. Monica is not just a great hostess, she is a great cook, and breakfast was amazing. The inn is recently refurbished after having been in the family of a famed Estes Park resident for three generations, and the decor befits the nearly 100 year old home's history. The view across the Fall River Valley into Estes includes a beautiful mountain vista nestled quietly above the river with the city below. Guests can relax on the front porch, at a couple patio venues, or right outside their rooms. Comfort, elegance, amazing food, great social atmosphere, and Monica as your hostess. You can't ask for anything more.

What a heavenly, luxurious retreat! The beauty and comforts within and without The Golden Leaf Inn were an absolute balm to my body and soul. From the artistry & attention to detail & decor throughout the inn's rich, warm interior to the deliciously comfortable bed to the luxuriant bathrobes & aromatic organic bath lotions to Innkeeper Monica's amazing culinary creations (not to mention her sensitive, discerning gift of hospitality so perfectly suited to this classy yet warm haven) to the bull elk & his harem of 14 grazing just a stone's throw from the front porch, it was a wonderful experience in every respect. I so look forward to my next getaway here.

The Golden Leaf is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay while in Estes Park. It has all of the amenities, gorgeous features, fantastic service and more. The location is fantastic- quiet with beautiful views, yet easy to access Estes Park and RNP. The breakfast was delicious! The house is wonderfully upgraded with keeping all of the integrity of the history and is unique and large. We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a high-class stay in Estes Park.

Our time at the Golden Leaf Inn was a highlight of our vacation this summer. The Inn itself is a beautifully restored and tastefully decorated arts and crafts home. There is character and history in each room, and the "hidden spaces" are a unique feature. We enjoyed the mountain scenery, the luxurious robes, the super-comfortable bed, and the chloride-free hot tub. The location-- close but not too close to the downtown shopping, and just minutes from the entrance to RMNP-- is very convenient. Monica is truly an extraordinary inn-keeper. She has thought of every detail to ensure guests are pampered, relaxed, and comfortable. She is also a marvelous cook-- breakfast was unforgettable! We highly recommend the Golden Leaf Inn for those looking for a peaceful, unique, and memorable experience!

I almost wish I could keep The Golden Leaf a secret, it is such an amazing Bed and Breakfast, I know once word gets out it will be hard to get a reservation. We have stayed in a few B&B's before but this tops them all! Monica was beyond amazing, between the amazing breakfasts she made to the recommendations she made on things to do in town, she truly enhanced our experience in Estes. The room was wonderful, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the view! Oh the view from the front porch and the living room were breath taking. We also enjoyed the all natural hot tub (no chemicals) and it was divine! My husband and I can't wait to go back!

Spent two nights at the Golden Leaf Inn with my wife and had a great time. The Craftsman style home was luxurious, well appointed and conveniently located in Estes Park. Monica was a very gracious host along with being an excellent chef. Her breakfasts were amazing, a great way to start the day prior to hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. After our hike we spent the late afternoon reading on the front porch with a grand view of Long's Peak while enjoying a glass of wine. We highly recommend the Golden Leaf. P.S. bring a bathing suit so you can enjoy the night sky while relaxing in the hot tub!

My wife and I stayed at the Golden Leaf Inn in early July 2013. Wow...this place is so intentional about everything! It seems meticulously laid out, decorated and arranged. There is a definite "feel" to this place. It has character and prominence. The sense of excellence comes through in all aspects of the way this business is run! We are so impressed! And it is so peaceful--you can feel it the minute you step onto the property! The views are also incredible! Long's Peak is totally visible, and the property slopes uphill in the back of the inn: there are dramatic rock formations towering overhead as you soak in the hot tub. We are seriously in love with this place.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be one of the first people to try out this bed and breakfast inn. What a pleasant surprise! We enjoy going to Estes Park and have always been on the lookout for a great place to stay aside from the abundance of "rustic" cabins available. I heard from a local the Golden Leaf Inn had just opened so we decided to see if we could get a room for a couple of nights. When we arrived we met the owners, wonderful people that put years of hard work into making this inn happen. The inn is a 1922 home they took 4 years to renovate and the final product is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are all very comfortable and well appointed, with a grand piano in the main room. We stayed in the master suite. The east end of the suite has windows facing the east face of Long's peak and a view of a horse ranch across the way, with 2 comfortable chairs facing the view. Perfect for a morning book and cup of coffee. Each morning Monica, our hostess, and a very attentive one at that, made us the most incredible breakfast we've had in years. We had fresh baked biscotti, fresh baked bread, an amazing omelet dish, chicken sausage, fresh squeezed juice and some of the best coffee ever (Monica said she gets her coffee beans from a local roaster in Boulder, fresh out of the hopper). There is a great front porch for sitting in the morning sun after breakfast and a beautiful patio to the side of that. It's only about a 5-7 minute walk into downtown. It was nice not to have to drive to go eat lunch or dinner and go shopping. We didn't have our suits with us but there is a nice hot tub out back that looks inviting too. All in all, I can't say enough about the Golden Leaf Inn and Monica, our host. The next time you're planning on heading to Estes Park, do yourself a favor and book a night or two at the Golden Leaf Inn. Oh, and sit in the chair next to the fireplace at your own risk. It's so comfortable you may just never want to get up!

My stay at the Golden Leaf Inn was the most refreshing and inspiring vacation I've had in...forever! The atmosphere is so peaceful, the space absolutely beautiful and the food delightfully delicious. To top it all off, Monica's hospitality made me feel right at home, free to relax, kick my shoes off and stay for awhile. Without a doubt, I will be scheduling future vacations at the Golden Leaf Inn!!

This was a great B&B! The house was beautiful and in a perfect location, walking distance to town but also very close to the RMNP entrance. I enjoyed an evening in the hot tub outside, and also experienced my first soaker tub. I chose blueberry & strawberry crepes for breakfast and they were delicious, Monica made me feel so welcome and taken care of. I would recommend it to anyone!
