My wife and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Camelot. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was lovely; the house-made vanilla yogurt was a delight! I'd recommend Camelot with no reservations whatsoever!
We stopped in Clarks Summit to visit family, so we tried the Camelot. Unfortunately, they only had a King Suite available, which was more than we needed for 1 night, and a bit out of our price range. Luckily, the Camelot had a promotion during the time frame of our stay that offered a 25% discount to teachers! The room itself was beautiful! It consisted of a large sitting area w/ pull-out sleeper sofa. In addition, there was a small breakfast nook, complete w/ microwave, and a small fridge already stocked w/ fresh fruit, juice and milk for breakfast. They also had packages of cold cereal in the room, along w/ bowls, glasses, spoons, etc. There was a large bedroom w/ king bed and furnishings, as well as a large bathroom w/ walk-in shower and separate whirlpool tub. Very luxurious! The continental breakfast for guests consisted of cold cereal, juice & breakfast pastries in a private dining room downstairs. When we went to leave the room in the morning to head down to continental breakfast, we found that the only thing we didn't already have in our room was sitting on a saran-wrapped tray outside our door (croissants, pastries, muffins, etc.). As a result, we enjoyed our own private breakfast in our room. The Camelot Inn is conveniently located off I-81, just north of the beginning of the PA Turnpike NE Extension (I-476). Despite this convenient travel location, the setting is very quiet, just far enough from the highway for there to be no noise from traffic. The only down side for us was that our bedroom window overlooked the front parking lot, so when guests (employees??) left the Inn at 2:30am, their loud parking lot conversation woke us up. Beyond that, we enjoyed a very pleasant stay and would recommend the Camelot Inn to other travelers. I should note that, because we were visiting family, we did NOT eat dinner in the restaurant, so we can't comment on that.
We had our wedding at Camelot on 5/4/2014. It was the most perfect of days thanks to all of the staff! We had 62 people total. We had our ceremony there in the beautifully decorated side room and continued to the reception in the main dining/bar area. The food was delicious, and so many of our guests commented that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Kathy was the manager of the event, and she made everything go without a glitch. We also booked a suite on 2nd floor and it was so spacious and tastefully decorated. We loved the jacuzzi. We still can't believe how perfect everything went. It was the happiest day of our lives...Thanks Camelot!
I stayed for a total of four days and found my trip very relaxing! The room was very pretty. The restaurant was often very busy at night but I must say I enjoyed my meal! The bar was a great place. Drinks were cheap and staff was very friendly. However, because of how busy it was you couldn't always find a seat. The only draw back was there wasn't really much to do in the area. All in all I had a great time.
Family came across the country and we all met at the Camelot. The food was good, the restaurant was roomy, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast room allowed us cousins to gather there and talk until lunch time. I'd plan a trip here again.
We stayed overnight on June 29, 2012 and other family members had a room as well. Our room was very nice, quiet, nicely air-conditioned. We were greeted by the assistant manager who went out of his way to welcome us and explain details about the inn. Cocktails on the patio were excellent and the dinner was exceptional and well-presented. The only complaint we have is the "continental" breakfast in the morning. It consisted of a pot of coffee, warm cans of juice with no ice and a bag of supermarket donuts. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
My wife and I spent a wonderful, relaxing evening in this lovely country inn. The suite was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. The staff was more than helpful, courteous and welcoming. The dining experience was outstanding. We also loved the freshly baked scones and tea before leaving the next morning. We would highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway any time of the year and cannot wait to return in the fall to enjoy the foliage and cozy fireplaces. Camelot is truly a gem!
We arrived at the Camelot Restaurant and Inn around 6 p.m. on Saturday, when the dinner/drinks crowd were also arriving at the on-site restaurant. A congenial assistant manager seemed to be surprised that there were overnight guests at the b & b part of the enterprise; he apparently found some record of the reservation, but first showed us to a room that we had not reserved (and paid for in advance) and finally he settled us in the right room and helped to bring the luggage up the stairs. The room was clean and functional. We had dinner in the bar, (the kitchen accommodates both the restaurant and bar) and the meal preparation and service were above average. What a surprise it was to wake on Sunday morning, preparing for a long drive ahead, and to discover that we were the only people in the place, all doors were locked, and to leave we had to unlock doors and leave the premises unsecured. There was no breakfast, no coffee or juice, and no one to tell us that there would be no breakfast! Would we book here again for b & b? -- no. Would we book for dinner? - possibly if we were in the neighbourhood, but that is not likely since it is off the beaten track for travellers.
