Our Queen Anne Victorian sits atop the town's highest hill. Near Roanoke, both are nestled in the beautiful mountain highlands of southwest Virginia. The Inn at Hans Meadow offers the classic elegance of a 19th century home as well as the convenience and technology of a 21st century home. All 5 rooms have been furnished with the plushest of linens. The down-like pillows and pillow top mattresses will surely allow for restful nights’ sleep. We have also furnished every room with the richest and intricate of hand-carved, hardwood furniture to accent the hardwood floors throughout the home. Built in 1849, The Inn at Hans Meadow is rich with history. Nestled on 3 acres of land, guests enjoy walking through the English Gardens that are home to an English Boxwood maze that is over one hundred years old. The grounds are also home to over 25 species of trees not native to Virginia. The exotic fish pond is a lovely place to sit, relax, and enjoy bird watching. For the convenience of our guests, we have a lovely library area. This area is cozy and serene and offers a wide variety of reading materials. Our beautiful, oversized rooms with 10 foot ceilings offer each guest a king or queen size bed, private bath, 25 inch color television with digital cable, phone with data port, and microwave and refrigerator with complementary beverages and snacks. Our guests also enjoy quiet, warm radiator heat featuring climate control thermostats in the winter and central air conditioning in the summer.
