Our bedroom, the bed is king size, made by a local craftsman using only recycled hardwood which includes oak, cedar and elm.
Entrance and main space in the BB, with plenty of light, a sofa bed, a fridge, tea and coffee facilities, water filter, and a table with two hand made native wood chairs. Two more seats are available if necessary. The stereo has an IPod plug, CD and radio with alarm clock.
The bathroom, all wood was original from the house and restored using natural Tung oil
Nice shower, with an oxygen filter that saves water consumption

Gato Verde BB is located in the quiet Ñuñoa neighborhood. We offer bicycles for a small fee, so you can enjoy the city calmly at your own rhythm. We offer a small apartment, with capacity up to 4 people in a king size bed, and a sofa bed, in a 1940's restored house, with a nice garden. There is a terrace and 30 square meter edible garden on the roof, where you can enjoy your breakfast on warm days, or just enjoy the birds singing and the plants surrounding you while you rest in the afternoon. We offer a calmed urban oasis just minutes away from main streets and commerce.

We stayed in Gato Verde at the end of the summer. Our stay in Santiago was longer than expected, and this place turned out to be a real urban oasis, where we could rest from the heat and the busy rhythm of this capital. Located in the residential area of Ñuñoa we could experience the city as it was some decades ago, without so many modern mirror buildings but surrounded by neighborhood shops and squares that made it easier to merge into daily life. The restoration of the house is very well done, the rooms are new, stylish and comfortable. We enjoyed the many afternoons and mornings under the grape plants. It´s located at the side of a bike path that makes it easy to reach Providencia street and the rest of the city center. Delicious organic food from the roof terrace, an interesting project combining hospitality and sustainable urban agriculture.

I stayed here for one night in february and would highly recommend this place. It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, sitting in the sun on the roof surrounded by plants on the roof top garden. Gato Verde is located in a calm area yet close to the more central areas of santiago.
