Sunnyfield Farm B & B

– Camp Douglas, WI

Our beautiful Wisconsin Dells area bed and breakfast is nestled among the scenic bluffs and rich farmland in Camp Douglas, WI-a quaint northern town in Wisconsin's Amish Country. One hundred and sixty acres of rich farmland and scenic bluffs surround this charming turn-of-the-century impeccably decorated farmhouse. This 3-story home provides three roomy bedrooms on the second floor, all with hardwood floors. Two old-fashioned porch swings allow guests to enjoy the panoramic view of the bluffs and the wildlife, while meditating and reflecting. In the fall, nature reveals its splendid autumn colors and we invite you to delight in the scenic bluffs with hues of red, orange, yellow and brown from the porch swings, walking along the country road or the nearby bike trail. The four guest rooms feature a country decor with handmade quilts and stenciling. The Rose Room with a private bath has an adjoining room with twin beds that is perfect for families or groups traveling together. The third floor offers a unique studio with accommodations for a romantic retreat or a writer's paradise or a business person's home away from home. Sky windows in this light and airy suite allow guests to star gaze in luxurious comfort from the queen-sized bed. In addition, this meticulously clean studio has a private bath, living room and kitchen.

The Inn at Lonesome Hollow is situated on 160 rural acres in Southwest Wisconsin's Driftless Area - a rugged, hilly part of the upper midwest that was unglaciated during the last ice age. Lonesome Hollow contains a completely private valley surrounded on three sides by hills that rise 300 feet above the valley floor. Part of our property extends up onto a ridgetop and offers almost two miles of private hiking trails. We are surrounded by hardwood forest. Wildlife abounds. The Inn contains three deluxe rooms, two large two-bedroom suites, and a modern two-bedroom cabin. All units have private baths and gas fireplaces. Four units have whirlpool tubs. Our area is very rural and has a growing Amish population. It is an area of rivers, streams, and forest. Hiking, biking, canoeing, bird watching, antiquing, and Amish shopping are popular area activities. We offer deluxe accomodations in a haven of natural wonder. We look forward to sharing Lonesome Hollow and this spledid area of Wisconsin with you.

Lumber Baron Inn

– Onalaska, WI

The Lumber Baron Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1888. It has been completely renovated and restored to its natural beauty. It is listed for two reasons, first because it retains all of the original woodwork, lights, and stained glass. Second for the man himself, as he had the first mill in Onalaska. The house also has an underground water sprinkling system, and he put in one of the first combination gas machine, which lighted the home. It sets on three lots, which gives a roomy feeling. The Lumber Baron Inn also has an original Carriage House (Which needs much refurbishing) we are looking for a grant or some nice person who wants to invest in this project. Just call if you know of this person!!! The house also has the original wrought iron fence that goes all along the front of the house. The house, carriage house, and the fence are all listed on the National Registry.

Four Gables Bed & Breakfast

– La Crosse, WI

This Queen Anne home was built in 1906 by Carl and Clara Munstock with some reclaimed lumber from other buildings on the farm. It is believed that a smaller house was lived in while this very large, impressive brick home was being built. The Munstocks made their money, at the time, from strawberries. The house and farm remained in the Munstock family until 1981 when the Jorgensens saw great potential in it and set out to painstakingly restore a very deteriorated gem. What was once a 1930s apartment in the upstairs is now the three bedrooms used for the bed and breakfast plus a library. Each bedroom is artfully decorated and furnished to make not only a romantic atmosphere, but also a homey and welcome ambiance for guests. Great pride is taken in details.

"First B&B Stay - Outstanding!"

"We received a Wisconsin B&B Assn. gift certificate from our children as a 30th anniversary gift. After a long internet search, my wife was intrigued by the pictures, descriptions and reviews of Cameo Rose. As a salesman used to the standard convention hotel fare, I was skeptical and not sure what to expect. All doubts were erased the minute we arrived. Located on 120 quiet acres surrounded by farmland, you are greeted by wild turkeys scurrying about the grounds near the house. A ring of the doorbell and you are enthusiastically "welcomed home" by Dawn Bahr, the friendly innkeeper. It's immediately clear that your only task while there, besides relaxing and enjoying yourself, is to turn off the porch lights if you're the last one in at night. The rooms are clean, well furnished, decorated and comfortable, with a plate of Dawn's homemade baked treats waiting for you. When Dawn's husband Gary isn't busy grooming the walking trails and taking care of the grounds, he's in the kitchen helping Dawn prepare the gourmet breakfasts which include her unique signature French Toast, Eggs Benedict, freshly baked cinnamon rolls and pecan muffins, fresh fruit and dessert. Dawn queries and takes note of any special dietary requirements and goes out of her way to accommodate. The hearty fare will hold you well into the afternoon. The service extends to making recommendations for dinner and securing the reservations for you. Dawn and Gary are the consummate hosts and it's obvious that they love what they do. Given that this was our first B&B experience, the bar has been set extremely high. We plan on returning next summer to enjoy the grounds."
