Relaxed setting, and a great variety of beds and bedrooms. Hot tub under the stars, or short walk to the beach. Friendly hosts, serving hearty Canadian, or optional Japanese breakfast. Fall asleep to the sounds of the water falling gently into the koi pond in the back garden.

We were treated so well, just like we were family. Very accommodating for our stay. Thank you so much.

We spent five days at the Cottage Pirouette on our recent visit. We were immediately surprised when Lorraine introduced our 10 year old son to her cache of Lego bricks. The stay got better from there. The room (Camellia) was a perfect fit for the three of us, and the en-suite bath is very convenient. At 6' 2" (188 cm) I found the attic location of the shower a bit cramped, but the hand-held worked well enough. While Camellia faces the front of the house (the window near the roof peak in the photo), we were never disturbed by any traffic noise. The morning meals were a treat with Lorraine and her family serving excellently prepared foods. The "family style" dining provides a great opportunity to meet the other guests in the house. For other meals there is a guest kitchenette or many dining options within reach. We definitely enjoyed the location; with easy walks to the beach, local parks, a water taxi stop (closed during the winter months, unfortunately), shopping, and family. A bus stop right outside and ample parking make for easy connection to Victoria. Guests have access to the front door at all times, so we were never concerned about staying out too late. And, of course, the garden hot tub was a special treat after a couple of long days. We will definitely come back to stay here.

I truly enjoyed my two night stay! The service was outstanding as the owner was pleasant and very helpful. The great surprise of the weekend was the scenic ocean walk that is just two blocks from the Pirouette. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Lorraine was the best hostess. She gave us great information about the town and area. She worked around our kids' food choices. The house is quaint and is a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed at Cottage Pirouette for 11 of our 13 nights in BC last month (July). Lorraine is a warm and genuine hostess who facilitates her guests making new friends from around the world. Her children (teens-young adults) are polite, hospitable and helpful as well. We found the location to be ideal- a quiet residential neighbourhood and only a few blocks from two of the most scenic waterfront parks in Esquimalt, with bus service at the door, and off-street parking for our rental car. Her 'green home' meshed well with our own values of recycling, composting, and using the sun and wind to dry laundry! We felt at home and at ease, and will definitely stay with Lorraine on our next trip to Victoria.

In June 2011 my friends and I stayed at Cottage Pirouette for three nights, in Daffodil, Wisteria and Camellia. The rooms were nicely decorated and everything was beautifully clean. Two of the rooms share a bathroom, but it's huge with an excellent shower and plenty of towels available. Lorraine is a wonderful host, providing tea and cake on arrival and always ready with helpful information. The location is good too, less than 10 minutes drive into Victoria in a pleasant suburb. I thoroughly recommend this b&b. We've stayed there twice now and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Very nice, clean and comfortable, and a convenient location. Lorraine is a great innkeeper, and goes out of her way to be as helpful as possible.

Lorraine and her family do an excellent job of providing a home away from home. The rooms are comfortable and clean; the breakfast is very tasty and filling. Her prices are probably about the best in Victoria. The people are absolutely the best. Lorraine is always ready to offer tips on things to do and how to get to them, and to meet any needs we had. It was so much fun interacting with other guests -- I love that Lorraine uses the traditional B&B pattern of having everyone eat together at one table. Our Victoria vacation was really enhanced by getting to know the others staying there. One thing important to us was having a room with separate beds. We are sisters who love to travel together and don't mind sharing a room but want our own beds. So often this is hard to find in a B&B, so having the ground-floor room (since we're not so good with stairs) with twin beds was perfect for us. Joy Neal Fort Worth, Texas
