Our confirmation e-mail from Linda had wonderful information about the types of clothing to bring with us to best enjoy the region which I appreciated. Within minutes of arrival, Linda brought tea and wonderful chocolate cookies that Philip had baked for us to enjoy while we completed our request for breakfast the next morning. Linda welcomed us like old friends even though we'd never met. We stayed in the Rose Room and had 2 windows that looked out on the front garden as well as the water and island across the road. Our room had a claw foot bath tub equipped with a shower. The soaps made for Phillip that were in our room are wonderful. The room was clean, warm, inviting and quite. At breakfast the next morning I had Red River Porridge with Philip's special garnishment, molasses and raisin toast and wheat toast from bread made by Philip. My husband had Philip's special homemade granola with vanilla yogurt. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. It was the best breakfast we've had in ages. We hope to return to Newfoundland in the future and plan to stay at the end for several days.
