Located on the hillside "Il Toppo" (Mt. 298 s.l.m.) in the Caselle Inferiori between the villages of St. Lucia and St. Anna di Cava de' Tirreni, is the Bed & Breakfast "La Torretta Bianca". The area is shown on the IGM map (Istituto Geografico Militare) on sheet 185 as Casa Sorrentino. In fact the home was owned by the Sorrentino family, owner of the surrounding lands and other houses, until 1991 when it was purchased by the Senatore family, which worked to refurbish and transform it into the current Bed Breakfast & that we see in the photos. It retains a rustic and simple style of manor houses and remains in close contact with nature in a serene green space. The architecture with the particular "battle tower" that characterizes the landscape, dates back to second half of the 19th century. The landscape is spectacular: on the one hand, the Mount Vesuvius and the agro nocerino, the valle di Cava de ' Tirreni surrounded by the green hills of the eastern slope (colle San Martino Mt. 277 s.l.m. with adjoining Hermitage) and the superb monti Lattari that stand in the West with the two peaks that are over a thousand meters Monte window or Pertuso (Mt. 1139 s.l.m.) and Monte s. “Villa Simitode” B&B it’s an ancient rural building that has maintained its original structure; it was known as “the red house on the bridge. It is set on the hills in a relaxing, peaceful environment offering beautiful views of Cava de’ Tirreni.
