The Brambles is a welcoming and friendly Bed & Breakfast, in a pleasant countryside setting in an acre of ground with a large garden & pleasant views with the sound of wildlife all around, but still within reach of Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge Research Park & Vision Park at Histon, Cambridge Colleges and attractions. Also Ely Cathedral City, main roads i.e.; A14, A10, M11, & A1, rail stations near by Waterbeach 1 mile & Cambridge a short distance approx 5 miles. We also have a large car park which can accommodate a dozen cars or larger vehicles. Dating back to the late 18th Century it was once a farm still having original barn and outbuildings. It has now been tastefully updated but retaining its own character, pleasantly furnished with the guests comfort in mind.

The Acorn Guest House is located in a peaceful cul-de-sac north of the city centre, a scenic ten to fifteen minute stroll from the main tourist hotspots. For those who are less able-footed, there is a fast and frequent bus service into the centre which stops just across the road from the guest house. Alternatively, in nice weather, you could join the masses and take a bicycle ride around the city. We can advise you on local hire. For business visitors, the Acorn Guest House is conveniently located for easy access to the major business parks, including Cambridge Science Park, Castle Park and St. John's Innovation Centre. There is no shortage of things to do during your stay in Cambridge. Visit one of the many museums or galleries, take a guided walk and admire the classic architecture of the University's 31 colleges or view the beautifully maintained college gardens from the luxury of a chauffered punt along the river Cam; particularly attractive during the bloom of Spring daffodils.
