    Historical Harkey Inn offers romantic Victorian elegance with three rooms and a French country cottage. Some rooms with fireplaces TV/DVD/CD, fax and wireless internet, fountains, and original artwork, antiques, queen beds, down comforters, and fresh flowers. We welcome couples seeking a romantic getaway and the business traveler. Pool, spa, and in room massage available.Three course candlelight gourmet breakfast served in a country French dining room by the fireplace. Relax sipping fresh ground coffee or herb teas, scones, and Belgium waffles, fruit smoothies served in Victorian elegance. Brick patio, rose garden, and daily newspapers. In the living room enjoy a Chickering rosewood piano, original artwork and oriental rugs. Voted the "Best of the Yuba Sutter Area" the past four years. We are happy to make dinner reservations at several local fine dining restaurants.

    My co-worker and I only stayed at the Harkey House for 2 nights as we were in the area interviewing applicants for our company, but the accomodations were delightful. Bob served wonderful breakfasts and Lee's knowledge of the area was very helpful. I interviewed applicants in the exqusite patio area. The antique furnishings were very charming. Thanks again for the hospitality!

    I was scheduled for a meeting and the hotel was full. I had never stayed at a B&B so I thought I would give it a try. What a fabulous experience Bob & Lee were so friendly. The breakfast was absolutely out of this world. I bragged about my breakfast at the meeting I knew everyone was having mushy barely warm eggs, bagels and cereal. I had cinnamon French toast with almond date butter sauce, corn soufflé, lavender scones with homemade strawberry jam and fresh fruit and some of the best coffee ever! Of course it was for more than one meal. Bob and Lee really do a fabulous job at making you feel right at home. I can't wait for the next meeting so I can go back!

    Lee and Bob, the hostest and host were extremely friendly, providing tasty and creative breakfasts. They provided information on points of interest in the area and directions to get there. They made us feel like guests in their home. We would definitely return the next time we visit that area of California.

    I recently stayed two nights at the Harkey House Inn in their lovely Empress Room. It was so comforting to come into this serene haven after attending my uncle's funeral. Bob and Lee had a welcoming fire waiting for me in my room as I came in from a cold rainstorm.Bob prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning at a time that was convenient for guests. If you are looking for a serene refuge with elegance and comfort then Harkey House Inn will meet all of your requirements.
