Harkey House Inn

My co-worker and I only stayed at the Harkey House for 2 nights as we were in the area interviewing applicants for our company, but the accomodations were delightful. Bob served wonderful breakfasts and Lee's knowledge of the area was very helpful. I interviewed applicants in the exqusite patio area. The antique furnishings were very charming. Thanks again for the hospitality!

I was scheduled for a meeting and the hotel was full. I had never stayed at a B&B so I thought I would give it a try. What a fabulous experience Bob & Lee were so friendly. The breakfast was absolutely out of this world. I bragged about my breakfast at the meeting I knew everyone was having mushy barely warm eggs, bagels and cereal. I had cinnamon French toast with almond date butter sauce, corn soufflé, lavender scones with homemade strawberry jam and fresh fruit and some of the best coffee ever! Of course it was for more than one meal. Bob and Lee really do a fabulous job at making you feel right at home. I can't wait for the next meeting so I can go back!

Lee and Bob, the hostest and host were extremely friendly, providing tasty and creative breakfasts. They provided information on points of interest in the area and directions to get there. They made us feel like guests in their home. We would definitely return the next time we visit that area of California.

I recently stayed two nights at the Harkey House Inn in their lovely Empress Room. It was so comforting to come into this serene haven after attending my uncle's funeral. Bob and Lee had a welcoming fire waiting for me in my room as I came in from a cold rainstorm.Bob prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning at a time that was convenient for guests. If you are looking for a serene refuge with elegance and comfort then Harkey House Inn will meet all of your requirements.

I have stayed many times at Harkey House. I have an aging mother who lives in Yuba City and need to visit her every two to three months. Finding Harkey House made those visits much more pleasurable. Bob and Lee are wonderful people and I have enjoyed their generous hospitality.

From clean and tastefully appointed rooms, to the warmth and attentiveness of the delightful owner/innkeepers, the Harkey House is sure to create an ambiance that will be wonderfully memorable and one you'll want to return to over and over again. We so enjoyed our stay!

Needing to go to monthly BeautiControl business meetings in Yuba City and spend the night, I began to compare hotel prices. I am so excited to find this beautiful, comfortable, luxurious B&B. It includes breakfast, pool, hot tub, and evening cookies and/or fruit. Each room has a different decor. My two favorites are the Tuscany Italian room and the French Camille's Cottage. Luxurious gardens provide a peaceful setting for reading and meditation. WiFi provides access for my business. The hosts are charming, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in finding restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping. Loraine Joy of Arbuckle, CA

I am another frequent guest of Lee and Bob Jones. Visiting my aging Mom in declining health is stressful. Harkey House is a welcome respite from the hot summer days and dealing with Mom's health issues. The decor in each room is unique. My favorite is the Empress Room. A black light illuminates the July night sky, the month Lee and Bob were married. How romantic! The garden is another favorite spot, enjoying a quiet glass of wine by the pool, surrounded by flowering plants and elegant touches. Breakfasts are not only delicious, but I consistently enjoy the company of other guests. Lee and Bob have mastered the balance of respecting each guest's privacy while making each feel welcome and at home. I look forward to every visit. It's hard to believe that staying in this warm, lovely home is just a few dollars more than the stale-aired box of a hotel room with a "view" of the walkway!

Met with 4 friends from 47 years ago-high school. Gracious hosts, great accommodations. Privacy respected. hope to repeat our stay!

Our stay at the Harkey House was indeed a pleasure. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the outside patio next to the pool. The service was wonderful and decor attractive. We walked to the local farmers market on Saturday which was surprisingly abundant for late September. Also, on our foot tour of the area we discovered the recently rennovated Plumas Street. It was an impressive example of urban renewal done right. We recommend Harkey House. We'll be back. Thank you, again.

Five of us stayed two days at the Harkey House for a family wedding in Marysville. It was the perfect setting for a small reunion. The hosts Lee and Bob were engaging. The food was excellent. Gracious hospitality of our innkeepers, fragerance of orange blossoms welcomed us. Hiked the Buttes and finished a novel by the pool followed a great sleep in the quiet cottage. All delightful!

My husband and I live nearby but needed a quick breather from life with two young children. Our daughter was 9 months and still nursing and this was the first time she was away from me for a full night. It was also a test-run to see how she'd do the next month when we stayed a B&B in Grass Valley. She was fine. We enjoyed our brief stay, the breakfast was delicous and the hosts were very kind.
