The Log House Lodge

The Log House Lodge is the perfect launching spot for hiking in the Sequoias. We had the best gourmet sour cream pancakes with cherry sauce and amazing spicy egg souffle for our two breakfasts, a welcome bottle of wine to sip on the hummingbird filled front deck, and a large and cozy room with nice views. All in all it was very high value. Maureen knows just what tired hikers need for a good time!

This places is in a central location to local restaurants, stores, outdoor recreation, and Sequoia Park. The owners are attentive to your needs. If they find out about your preference/Diet restrictions, they will try to accommodate you without you mentioning it. I recommend this place for whoever wants to escape the fast pace of city life for a quiet quaint retreat.

I was fortunate enough to enjoy one night in this nice little B&B. Maureen's breakfast hit the spot perfectly. We shared the house with two other guest, and enjoyed their company at breakfast. The room was perfect and the grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend......

The Log House Lodge provided a wonderful escape while providing a great launching pad for enjoying Sequoia National Forest. Maureen is a very thoughtful, kind lady who genuinely cares about the experiences of her guests. She keeps the place spotless and is a fantastic cook. Each morning, she serves up tasty breakfasts in huge portions. She even made a special breakfast each morning for our three-year-old daughter. The place is decorated tastefully and not overdone and it really feels like you're at a home away from home. Needless to say, we are very grateful that we found the Log House Lodge and highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Log House Lodge and LOVED it. The hosts were gracious and warm, the rooms were roomy and beautiful, the food was scrumptious, and the lodge was conveniently located near the Sequoia National Park, which we explored. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I had a quiet, peaceful, stay at The Log House Lodge! Maurine is lovely and her home is warm and inviting. The bed in the Rose Bud Room is THE MOST AMAZING BED I have ever slept in. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this B&B.

We were at the Log House Lodge to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it was the pefect place. We were very well taken care of, the Log House Lodge is beautiful and Tim and Maureen are wonderful! Highly recommend to anyone interested in a perfect Bed and Breakfast experience.

I took my girlfriend up to Sequoia for her birthday, and wanted to do something neither of us had ever done before, so I booked us a room at the Log House Lodge. We were both nervous, because we didn't know what to expect, but staying here was wonderful. Mauriene was incredibly sweet and one heck of a cook. Breakfast was amazing. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. I really appreciated the lack of television, but the ability to connect to wifi if needed. We look forward to our next visit to the Log House Lodge.

We stayed here during our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The high sierra room was great and we found that sharing a bathroom with the 3 other rooms was not a problem at all. Her breakfasts were delicious and my husband loved the hummingbirds that were constantly flying around the porch feeders. The town itself isn't much to sing about, but staying at this B&B made it worth it. We definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the nearby parks.

We had a warm welcome from Mauriene. The place is beautiful and the view outstanding. The beakfast is good. We stay 3 nights and it was the perfect place to be to visit Sequoia and King Canyon NP.

The rooms were decorated very well, everything fit but there was still a wide variety of decorations. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation with Mauriene and Tim.

My wife and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary in Sequoia. We could not think of a better place to stay. The lodge was great, room was clean and comfortable, and the chats with Mauriene were interesting, fun and engaging. She is a wonderful hostess. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great room at a great rate in a perfect location to visit the park.

Mauriene is a wonderful hostess and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The Rose Room was lovely, if a bit too frilly for our tastes, but we feel lucky to have been able to lodge at the Log House!

We stayed for one night, and regretted only booking a night as soon as we arrived at The Log House Lodge. We had a lovely welcome from the owner and the gorgeous dog. As we were the only guests that night, Mauriene gave us the option to choose which room we wanted, even though we had paid for the cheaper room. This was a really sweet touch particularly as we got a lovely bottle of wine out of it. Thanks Mauriene! The decor at the Lodge is just amazing - so much time and effort has gone into it. It was a lovely, peaceful place to stay. Sitting on the balcony in the evening drinking red wine, was so relaxing. And I can't finish this review without mentioning breakfast - delicious. Very comfortable room, great breakfast, wonderful host, lovely property (particularly the fountain/waterfalls) and off the main road - would definitely book again!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Log House Lodge. We were there for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Our hostess provided some very nice meals.

I admit, I am one of those city girls who cannot forgo my curling iron and lighted make up mirror, so when my husband told me he had booked us on a log cabin getaway I immediately thought of ways to get out of it! What a mistake it would have been! DOWN TO EVERY LAST DETAIL, this log house was equipped with every imaginable delight of a log house, with all of the 21st century amenities I have become accustomed to. Every single piece of furniture and decor was well thought out and placed throughout. A large gorgeous living room with wood floors and two large sofas that turn into large sofa beds at night for up to four extra guests! A fully stocked and well -equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a master bedroom that was to die for! Whether you listen to music from the phonogram (which has a working radio and cd player) or sit outside on the balcony watching the beautiful mountain views-- this place is a little bit of heaven on earth! I kept saying that I felt as if I were staying inside on of the Disneyland rides, becasue everything was so magical-- and NO WONDER... the owner is a Disney Imagineer who worked on the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion-- makes sense now why every detail was so perfect! The ABSOLUTE ONLY thing I would have liked that they lacked was breakfast in the morning. On vacation, I HATE to cook-- as most city girls do. But we were told that since the kitchen comes fully equipped, breakfast is not included. I would have thought that since this is the most expensive of the rooms available, breakfast should be, then the guests would have the option of cooking lunch and dinner if they liked. The other missing thing was a barbeque, for smores or outdoor cooking, which is what one likes to do on mountain getaways-- other than that, ti was AMAZING and I would guarantee you will have the most enjoyable stay of your life!

I cannot emphasize how great my experience at the Log House Lodge was. Mauriene was very hospitable, warm, and nice. The service, food and lodging exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend anyone to stay here if they can.

I recently took my family ( a party of 7) to the log house lodge for the 4th of July. I was more than thrilled when Maurine opened the doors to the Pioneer suite. This suite has everything. Movies, board games, kitchen equipment Air conditioning...I felt foolish packing my whisk and pans. The decor is wonderfully charming with an old west flare. We also rented the two bed and breakfast rooms (high sierra room and rosebud room). Although I was not one from my party to sleep in either room, I was told that there was no control in their rooms for the AC and it began to warm up fast when the AC was shut off. These rooms do come with electric fans that you may use. I would recommend staying in these two rooms in the spring or fall when the outside temperature is much cooler. . The rooms are spacious and decorated with charm I really feel that the highlight of this bed and breakfast is the Pioneer Suite. It even has its own washer and dryer as well as AC. We will definitely return!

This amazing disneyesque B&B is located next to one of the most majestic forests in the US. A genuine welcome and great hospitality. Highly recommended!

We stayed for three nights. Mauriene made us comfortable and at home. The Lodge is a stone's throw from the park and made visiting easy, especially after the delicious home-cooked breakfast. If you want a comfortable and restful B&B when visiting the Sequoia National Park, we recommend The Log House Lodge.

We stayed at the Log House in June,2012. The room is clean and decorated with lots of thoughts. Mauriene welcomed us like old friends and yet we have all the privacy. If I ever visit Sequoia/Kings I'd stay at the Log House again.

This B&B is a 10 minute drive from Sequoia National Forest. Town dining is very reasonably priced and it makes for a wonderfully quiet getaway. We loved our time there and enjoyed getting to know the innkeeper.

The B&B was very nice and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Mauriene was extremely nice and informative. We also, thoroughly enjoyed the wine. The only thing I would change is to leave the air conditioning on longer at night. It was a warm night and took some hours to cool the upstairs rooms - the fan did help!

This B&B is very relaxing and a step back in time. Our room had an old time radio with tunes from the 40's and 50's. Loved the nostalgia! Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! We were able to look at the vacation rental downstairs and it is a knockout space. Wow!!! Would definitely recommend this great spot!

The Landrys have an amazing bed and breakfast and Mauriene takes the regular-old-run-o-the-mill-hospitality ideal and leaves it wallowing in the dust as she spoils each of her guests and does it with a smile! The views from all the rooms are spectacular and the rooms themselves are amazing as well; the pictures are beautiful, but they don't do the place justice nor can they show the extraordinary hospitality and care that is in this place! My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was amazing: great views; great folks; great hospitality; great food; great ministry!

The Log House Lodge is a treasured find. Quite, peaceful and a step into the Old West's past. The owners Maureen and Tim go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. This lodge is different from any other place I have ever stayed. A+++

The location of this B&B is great if you want some adventure or if you just want to relax. Tim and Maureen are the nicest people you could ever want to meet. Maureen is a great cook as well. The Lodge gives off a very nostalgic feel. There are so many neat items that fill the house you won't be able to see them all. A great place to get away from a busy world...

Tim and Mauriene Landry were wonderful, hospitable hosts. The room was clean and the decor was magically nostalgic. I felt like I had stepped back in time as I relaxed into the old country decor of the room. Breakfast was delicious: zucchini fritters and a yummy mix of fresh fruit and mint infused yogurt. Sequoia National Park was only a short drive away. We were well rested to enjoy the national park because of our stay at Log House Lodge!

We had a fantastic time in the Sequoia National Park while staying 2 nights at the Log House Lodge. The owners are generous and pleasant individuals were enjoyable and very hospitable. Great option to stay in a place get away and rest as well as enjoying really good food!! My wife and I were truly refreshed during our stay at the Log House Lodge.

We were hiking in Sequoia and Kings Canyon and wanted a B&B instead of a hotel. Couldn't have decided on a better place. Tim and Mauriene made us feel like visiting friends rather than customers. Beautiful location. Every time we looked around the room we found something new. We'd go back!

Ours was a last minute plan so we booked basis the online reviews but whilst driving (it was our first US trip) we were apprehensive as we approached. All this changed the moment we checked-in; it is a beautiful property and everything is so well thought through and meticulously arranged that it makes you feel special. Mauriene - our hostess - is a wonderful person and serves wonderful and copious amount of breakfast. She helped us with suggestions and advice which was useful. In the end we extended our stay by a day here :) And on our next visit will surely stop over; again.

My husband and I recently took a trip to the Log house Lodge to escape the city. Mauriene and Tim are the sweetest people and took great care of us! Breakfast each morning was completely amazing! The rooms are cute and clean and there is lots of shared space to hang out in. The only down side is the two guest rooms have to share a bathroom, but it was never a problem for us. There are sinks in each of the rooms and that helped. Totally recommend this B&B!

We would encourage you to try out the Loghouse, the rooms are fantastic and the breakfast is legendary.

Is a beautiful place and in a wonderful location (very near to the Sequoia National Park). The owners Mauriene & Tim are really nice and made us feel like home. If we come back to this area, we would love to stay here again.

Every detail from the moment we arrived swept us away to another place and time. Tim and Mauriene have gone to great lengths to prepare an ideal getaway from the rigors of daily life. It also provides easy access to the Sequoia National Park and is not far from places to go white water rafting, boating or horseback riding if your are looking for more adventure.

The Log House Lodge is a lovely, western-themed B&B, just minutes from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Mauriene is sweet and kind and a fabulous chef to boot. This is the best choice in the area.

Staying at The Log House Lodge was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Tim and Mauriene were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Their B & B is very tastefully decorated and the rooms, sitting rooms, front porch, etc... are all very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and was just what was needed to start our days of hiking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We return each year to The Log House because it feels like our second home.

For me it's all about the breakfast and on all counts Mouriene nailed it! The 8:30am breakfast was so good and so filling that my wife and I didn't even think about wanting lunch until late afternoon. Tim and Mauriene are really gracious hosts. They gave us everything we needed/wanted but were never intrusive when we just wanted to do our own thing while at the house.

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast, and I must say I was blown away. The room was great. It had a great view, very clean, and very comfortable. The owners went above and beyond my expectation. The breakfast both mornings was great, and I will not hesitate to come back. This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I must say we were very pleased with the accommodations. When stepping into The Log House Lodge, you feel as though you have taken a trip back in time. From the beautiful country antiques to the intoxicating smell of cinnamon and pine that flows through the open windows, one can't help but feel comfortable and relaxed. Tim and Mauriene warmly welcomed us and provided us with all of the comforts of home. The best part of our stay was the delicious breakfast. It was by far the very best breakfast we had ever had. If you are considering a trip through Three Rivers, CA, make sure to book a night at The Log House Lodge.

This is my second stay at the Log House Lodge and it was great both times. The decor is very High Sierra which is so pleasing to me because I love the mountains. The hosts make you feel at home right away so it takes no time to settle in and plan your day's activities. With the Sequoia National Park so close, that is generally where you want to spend the day. My husband and I had a wonderful time exploring the park and experiencing certain areas that we hadn't seen in a long time. We had a great time.

we were so tired of driving around the mountains to king's canyon and sequoia parks, yet we were so amazed by the magnificent trees and breath-taking pinetree-laden canyon.. we thought that was it.. until we arrived at The Log House Lodge! the house was just as beautiful as the parks were, outside and inside.. our room was the High Sierra room and we can see the stars and the stunning slopes from our window! there's even a soft country music playing on an antique radio and old-fashioned night lights. it was so romantic! we rose up early and have to leave at 7am but breakfast will be served at 830am.. however, the host is kind enough to prepared it at 630am! big meal, that is! wish we could stay longer..

The most welcoming family I've ever stayed with. Mauriene and Tim Landry could not do enough for us. I felt like I was at home with family. Loved it !!!

What an absolutely amazing 'home' to relax in!! We are 'locals' and in the hospitality business ourselves. My husband wanted a 'getaway' to celebrate my birthday and our 1st Anniversary! He found the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"! The Log House Lodge is absolutely amazing! From the decor inside and out, the landscaping, the food, the views, all the way to Tim and Mauriene...every aspect is amazing! You can feel the love when you enter! The Lodge has all the modern amenities of todays world but you feel like stepped back in time and staying with friends in their mountain cabin! It really is a Log home!! It is built out of Lincoln Logs!! LOL!! Breakfast was incredible!! Mauriene is quite the cook!! Crepes made from scratch, with her own special cream cheese mixture and fruit compote, her special Orange Juice, and pepper bacon smells filled the house!! We opened the door from our room upstairs and our mouth's were watering!! We practically ran down the stairs!! Breakfast was served "sit down" style with our plates prepared so we could all eat together like a family!! We talked over breakfast and got a chance to learn about the other couple that was there from Germany and about how Tim and Mauriene came to have this wonderful place!! Every room at the Lodge is very cozy and comfortable!! Breathtaking views from the windows and the decks all the way around the lodge!! From off the front deck we watched the sunset over the mountains and watched it rise from the back deck!!! We can't say enough about the lodge!! We were literally 5 minutes from our home on the other side of the river..but we felt like we were a million miles from home!! We will definitely be back to stay!! Tim and Mauriene....You're the best!! Thank you for being a part of my birthday and our 1st anniversary celebration!!! Thank you for your friendship!! This has got to be one the cleanest,most beautiful B+B's we've ever stayed in, having travelled extensively in South Africa and Europe. Mauriene is such a kind, caring hostess and cooks the BEST ever breakfasts (you won't need to eat the rest of the day!) It truly felt like "coming home" to loveliness and comfort after a day out amongst the big trees... We'll be back.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at this bed and breakfast. It is a really beautiful place in a really beautiful setting. The innkeepers are wonderfully hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay special...from preparing first class gourmet breakfasts (no exaggeration here) to showing movies on their big screen, to surprising us with after dinner treats! The Log House Lodge was a fantastic getaway for my husband and me. After being treated like royalty at gourmet breakfasts of banana nut pancakes and crab quiche, we enjoyed Sequoia National Park at a gorgeous time of year. We went sledding on our first day and on the third we hiked the ladybug trail up the Kaweah River through a gorgeous mountain pass of snow-capped peaks and a cascading waterfall. The temperatures were in the sixties and the lush vegetation beneath the misty mountains was like a little piece of heaven. Thank you for introducing us to your world.

Incredible two-day vacation, mauriene and tim are exceptional hosts, mauriene makes the best breakfast. and the house is so cozy and welcoming, it was incredible! the great theater-like atmosphere was fantastic, it was so much fun we are going to be coming back again and again!

We had a fantastic getaway weekend thanks to the Log House Lodge. The room was beautiful and spacious and the breakfasts were a real treat. The hosts, Tim & Mauriene were exceptionally hospitable, even though one of them was not feeling well through the weekend; they were such gracious hosts they even found another first-class cook to prepare and serve breakfast. This was such a wonderful place to unwind and relax. It's so close to Sequoia National Park that in a matter of minutes you're on the road enjoying the sights. Can't say enough about this place!!

Staying at the inn is an absolute delight and treat. The innkeepers have gone to great lengths to ensure that their guests have an unforgetable stay. Each room is meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are extremely comfotable and the linens are fresh and soft. We slept so well and were awakened to the sounds and smells of breakfast cooking (and not just any breakfast...a homemade gourmet breakfast). You must stay here. You won't regret it and you'll never forget it!

The LHL is a small, extremely comfortable and very clean B&B. Mauriene was a great source of information about the area and did everything she could to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely setting.

I always love to book in a B&B. This one is in my top 5 as number 1. We have stayed in Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico and California. Tim and Mauriene are the best. A fantastic and delicious breakfast each morning. The ambiance of their home will just put you at ease and relax you the whole time you are there. We would like to go back and plan on telling all our friends about this wonderful find. The area is next to one of our most beautiful Sequoia and Kings Canyon parks. If you are there during the spring time, you will be able to smell the orange orchards in full bloom, ahhhh.

A charming home away from home nestled in a natural sanctuary. Enjoy the warm hospitality and the sumptuous breakfast and leave all of your worries behind!

Two very comfortable rooms. Each room has its own sink, though there is one shared bathroom between the rooms. Excellent breakfast, and wonderful hosts. There is a little dog who is friendly, but not overly-friendly. Good WiFi, but poor cell phone reception at location. Nice views of the foothills, easy driving distance from the Big Trees. Convenient options for lunch/dinner not too far away in town. Would recommend it, and hope to return!

This cabin is at the perfect location to visit Sequoia National Park and the rivers. The cabin is homey and the breakfast is fantatic. We slept very well in our room overlooking the valley. Not having your own bathroom is the only down side.

This was our first visit to the Log House Lodge and we hope it won't be our last. The Landry's have gone extra lengths to ensure their B&B is welcoming and refreshing. Your sleep will be sweet in the plush beds. Your breath will be taken away by the view of the Milky-way. And the hummingbirds on the patio will set your soul at ease. We can't forget to mention the gourmet breakfasts made with love and skill by the hosts. "Above and Beyond" - that sums up our stay.

Staying at the Log House was like getting away from real life, but stepping in the reality of cozy, homey,lodge living. And the personal, warmth was like being with family.

Our hostess, Maurine, was always sweet and hospitable - she knew our goal was to spend time together and she helped us do that with grace. The food was a wonderful treat and we had a great time watching movies in the movie room - the area is beautiful.

The owners were wonderful, and really made you feel welcome. from resting in the den, to hiking in Sequoia National Park, it was wonderful. Mauriene was a great cook also. We plan to go back for sure.

This place is ABSOLUTELY wonderful. You will leave wishing you could stay longer! The house is a beautiful cabin, the rooms large and spacious, and the views from the wrap around deck are breath-taking. The breakfast is phenomenal. They hosts really make you feel at home and comfortable. It is a great getaway spot for couples or small groups of travelers. It is only a short 10 minute drive from Sequoia, and on the drive you notice that you are staying in one of the nicest lodges outside of Sequoia. There is no where else I would rather stay when I go to Sequoia than here.

Mauriene was a very gracious and generous hostess and definitely has the gift of hospitality. We enjoyed her company and the beautiful Sequoias.

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at the Log House. The food was amazing, the beds were comfortable, and the view from the deck was majestic and calming. I could literally sit out there all day and read a book or just listen to music. What is more, the conversation and fellowship to be had is such a comfort to the soul, and the classic movies played nightly are a fun and relaxing treat. We honestly have no negative comments about this place, and would love to return as soon as the opportunity affords.

My wife and I were overwhelmed with the beauty and comfort of this B&B. Perhaps the best part of the weekend was getting to know Tim and Mauriene, the owners. They were abundantly gracious and fun to be with. And the breakfasts were amazing! We look forward to visiting again in the future.

The breakfast was unique, wonderful and plentiful. Quaint and tastefully decorated rooms, with great attention to detail. Activities provided include huge screen movies, games, grogeous views and easy access to Three Rivers and Seqoia National Park. Sits down the street from the River view restaurant, where you can enjoy a casual dinner on the river. Maureen Landry is skilled in hospitality and knowledgable about the area (good recommendations). Excellent getway!

This is a beautifully situated and decorated lodge that is like no other. Wonderful accomodations, breathtaking views, outstanding hospitality, and delicious meals were ours. We highly reccommend this B&B!

This is an unusual B&B! Not only is the location perfect for launching into the Sequoias as we did... but everything about the accommodation was amazing. Tim and Mauriene have paid attention to detail in such a way that wherever your eyes rest... there's something interesting to look at! The same attention goes into the food.. and Mauriene is one fabulous cook! We felt welcome and comfortable in every way... and VERY reluctant to leave! "A la prochaine!" :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at The Log House Lodge. Everything about our trip was great--lovely hosts, charming home, cozy room (we stayed in the High Sierra room), and awesome setting at the gateway to the Sequoia National Park. Be sure to spend a day up at the Giant Sequoias, enjoy reading or talking on the deck in the mornings, and of course, don't miss Mauriene's awesome breakfasts. Tim and Mauriene have placed much thought into every detail of their home. We highly recommend this B&B for anyone desiring a relaxing, low-stress getaway!

Everything about this place was great-- the views, the rooms, the host, the hospitatlity, the food, the porch and the peace and quiet. What a fabulous place to relax and unwind. Truly a wonderful stay- feels like coming home!

It was such a treat to get away from the rat race and really relax... the old fashion way... beautiful surroundings, wonderfully charming lodge and equally charming and gracious innkeepers. My kids LOVED the old tire swing - I loved sitting on the porch hearing them laugh... oh and the National Park nearby is pretty cool too!

We had the opportunity to stay here during our last visit to the US. What an incredible location! If you like peace and quiet and if you like hiking and exploring nature's treasures, you couldn't ask for a better starting point. Food is great, rooms are comfortable and charming, and it really does feel like a trip back in time. Have yourself a cup of tea while sitting on the deck and look around you.. it's amazing!
