See INNS web site for "DINNER ON US" special. Use the "AVAILABILITY CALANDER" link on the left to make a reservation. Named by Sunset magazine as ”The best town in California’s Gold Country”, Sutter Creek is the perfect location for a getaway where you can explore everything from history to wine tasting, or shopping to golf. In keeping with the heritage of the town, the Grey Gables Inn is a pretty, soft-gray-blue Victorian detailed with a white trim sitting appealingly behind a stone entry, and within easy walking distance of the wonderful array of shops and restaurants in Sutter Creek. The guestrooms are named for English poets, such as Browning, Byron, Wordsworth, and Shelley. All the rooms are decorated with floral spreads that complement the decor in hues of greens, rose, and mauve. All rooms have fireplaces, most have garden views, and some enjoy claw-foot tubs. Guests settle in the parlor to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea and cake, hors d'oeuvres and wine in the early evening, and a bountiful gourmet breakfast. Directions: Grey Gables Inn is located on the west side of Old Highway 49 one block to the north side of town.

We had just been to Grey Gables in May for our anniversary and found we wanted to stay again for the Barbera Festival in June. You just can't beat this Inn for beauty, warmth, cleanliness and fantastic hosts in Roger & Sue. We love meeting new people each time we stay. We'll be back AGAIN! Rick & Rene

We just finished a two nights stay at the Grey Gables. We thoroughly enjoyed everything there. The owners / hosts were absolutely the best. Not only were they charming and personable, but the breakfasts they prepared were fantastic. All in all a real treat and very relaxing.

Photos and room descriptions were very accurate. Be sure and enjoy walks around the town's quiet neighborhoods, and not just along Main Street.

This was my our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and we must admit we were blown away. First of all our room was beautiful. Our cheese and champagne were waiting for us upon our arrival. Sue and Roger are two amazing people. Sue had me laughing so much during their evening wine and snack time. She has such an infectious laugh which made it all so fun. The accomadate anyone with anyone having any diet restrictions. Breakfast was amazing and mine was made special for me to meet my gluten free needs. We left feeling so blessed to have gotten to stay there and will definitely be returning. Without a doubt you need to try this place.

My wife and I stayed in the Bronte Room for three nights in early June 2014. The room and grounds were great but Sue and Roger were fantastic! Their hospitality was top notch. We enthusiastically recommend the Grey Gables and will be back. Thank you Sue and Roger!!! - Jim Miller
