Grey Gables Bed & Breakfast Inn
Named by Sunset magazine as ”The best town in California’s Gold Country”, Sutter Creek is the perfect location for a getaway where you can explore everything from history to wine tasting, or shopping to golf.
In keeping with the heritage of the town, the Grey Gables Inn is a pretty, soft-gray-blue Victorian detailed with a white trim sitting appealingly behind a stone entry, and within easy walking distance of the wonderful array of shops and restaurants in Sutter Creek.
The guestrooms are named for English poets, such as Browning, Byron, Wordsworth, and Shelley. All the rooms are decorated with floral spreads that complement the decor in hues of greens, rose, and mauve. All rooms have fireplaces, most have garden views, and some enjoy claw-foot tubs.
Guests settle in the parlor to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea and cake, hors d'oeuvres and wine in the early evening, and a bountiful gourmet breakfast.
Directions: Grey Gables Inn is located on the west side of Old Highway 49 one block to the north side of town.
