An Enjoyable Stay

5 on June 21, 2014

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Inn. Donna was a gracious hostess and we will definitely stay here if we get to visit the area again.

Beautiful get-away!

5 on June 09, 2014

This is quite a find. The room was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom with the claw-footed tub very charming. We enjoyed coffee on the porch looking out at the gorgeous gardens. All of this, and very close to the Sonoma square.

A holday in Sonoma

The Inn was very handy to the Square and the staff were very helpful, providing an umbrella for the rain and presenting an excellent breakfast.

Great experience!

5 on February 09, 2014

We stayed for one night on a rainy February weekend. Donna and Janet were wonderfully friendly and accommodating hosts. After they saw how tall I was they upgraded us to a suite with a larger bed at no extra charge (being tall is good for a lot of things, but usually not so directly!). The room, the Woodcutter's Cottage, was cute, clean, and cozy, and the bed was quite comfortable. We felt like royalty in the super-thick white bathrobes. The food at breakfast was good, and more than we could eat. Even the coffee wasn't half bad, and I'm a bit of a coffee snob. The location is just two blocks from the main plaza - it was raining so we didn't walk down there, but you certainly could on a more usual day. Overall, a great experience!

Charming B&B in the heart of Sonoma

3.2 on August 07, 2013

A Victorian Garden Inn is a great place to stay when visting Sonoma. It's located four blocks from the main square and provides a beautiful and comfortable base for exploring the town. The staff is very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.

Cute B&B with beautiful gardens!

3.4 on October 04, 2012

Victorian Garden was our first B&B and it was very nice - especially the grounds! We stayed in the main house and shared a bath. The breakfasts were great - even our bag breakfast, packed at our request so we could catch our flight. The location was nice too - very close to the Sonoma plaza. We walked to great restaurants and shopping.

Loved This Place

4.6 on March 23, 2012

We have roomed at various B&B's over the last 20 years and this is a great place. My wife and I stayed here with our adult daughter for four nights and then continued on to San Francisco. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. We all took advantage of the on site massage and our tired travel-weary bodies were thoroughly relaxed and unknotted before we set out to explore the area. Breakfast was European style -- assorted pastries, toast, cheeses, hard or soft boiled eggs delicious yogurt, granola (cereal may have been available) hot coffee/tea and juice. It was plentiful and delicious. There are a selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolates available in the afternoon and evening along with a plate of cookies. The property has had the same owner for 29 years and sits on a manicured acre in a quiet neighborhood, two blocks from downtown. The interior is restored and decorated with period pieces. With all of the antiques and baubles it would be a challenging place to manage small children. The owner and her staff were very nice, polite and helpful. We walked to and from the many wonderful restaurants and shops several times- the picturesque town square is energetic with people all about. The porches are perfect for reading, drinking a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. It is also a short drive from Napa if you are so inclined. While we researched the area before our visit, there is no substitute for locals who know the area. The owner and her staff were very helpful, suggesting wine tours, places of interest, restaurants and providing some history and prospective of the area. We will definitely stay there if we are in the area again.

Great stay at the Victorian Garden Inn

4.4 on June 17, 2011

We were only able to stay in Sonoma one night but glad we chose this place to do. The grounds of the house/cottages are gorgeous. The location was very convenient, and service/attentiveness from the staff was superb. Cute little breakfast in the garden in the morning. We'd recommend this to anyone.

The Victorian Inn

4.6 on May 16, 2011

We thought the room was very quaint, and romantic. The staff made you feel like you were in your own home. We had the Wood Cutters Cottage which had its own access, so it was like your very own. We were minutes from our dining reservation, and the square to visit the next day. The breakfast in the morning was cozy out on your own patio where everthing was already on the table on tine from their very friendly staff. they brought you as much as you wanted as requested. and it was totally private with your spouse. Nice!! I will go back there. Very relaxing!!By the way, order one of there packages. Very affordable!!
