We used Mirabelle as our base camp for seeing most of the Santa Ynez Valley. Great location. Food was excellent. Free and cheese happy hour a definite plus :)

We stayed at the Mirabelle Inn for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to stay in Solvang so just googled lodging for the little town. I clicked on the website for Mirabelle and knew immediately that's where I wanted to book one night of our 30th anniversary trip. I was not disappointed. The Inn is quaint, clean, cozy, inviting, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The details of our room and common areas where perfect. The continental breakfast the next morning was delicious and the hot items were hot and the cold were chilled perfectly. We checked out saying that we would, for sure, be back and would recommend this best kept secret of Solvang to our family and friends.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to make all of your future stays just as special.

The location, food, and environment was exceptional and beat our expectations (which were quite high). The staff was friendly, the food amazing, and Mirabelle is definitely a place we plan to frequent again in the future.

Loved the ambiance and our room, esp. the jacuzzi tub and our balcony.

My wife and I had never been to a Bed and Breakfast before so we really didn't know what to expect. The reviews for the Mirabelle were great and we took a chance and we were blown away. Great service, location, food. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to find another Inn that comes close to the Mirabelle's standards. We can't wait to return.
5 on July 07, 2014
This was a great B&B. It was very clean and sweet. I would highly recommend it.
5 on June 30, 2014
We recently stayed at the Mirabelle Inn for several days. The room was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The Staff was so friendly. We ate in the restaurant and had an outstanding meal. We were there on a Monday and chose the Tasting Menu. It was outstanding and the service was excellent. If we are in the area in the future, we would choose to stay there again.

We stayed at the little Inn last weekend for just 1 night. It was the perfect place for a 1 night get away. The food was excellent and the people are very nice. I would absolutely stay again.
3.4 on June 25, 2014
We selected this B & B based on its location and were very pleased with that, as well as the parking and food. Our room was a bit dated (bathroom) and the TV was so small as to be virtually useless. So while we would recommend, we thought for the price that there were a couple of things that could be improved upon.

I came across the Mirabelle while looking for a last minute place to stay in the area and since the reviews were raving, I took a chance and booked a room. The staff was excellent, the location perfect (except the town of Solvang closes up so early!), the main floor and dining areas were upgraded and very charming. The restaurant was wonderful: Food exquisite, very accommodating to my special food needs, absolutely delicious food & wine and the wait staff was outstanding in every way! I travel extensively from coast to coast, dine in the best restaurants and the one at Mirabelle is right up there with the best. I was planning a romantic weekend away and was so hoping that staying at a B&B would allow for the atmosphere to be right on. However, the room (#8) was not as it appeared to be and is in need of an upgrade. So, my boyfriend and I just made the best of it and instead of a romantic weekend at the B&B, we ventured out to Santa Ynez to a late night establishment where we met some lovely, fun people & enjoyed the evening.

Loved the Mirabelle Inn. Great service, and delicious breakfast menu. Quite and was able to get a good night's sleep on the comfy bed. Loved room 7.

A delightful place to stay convenient to all shops. Beds were comfortable and shower pressure was satisfactory. Staff were very accommodating to our needs. It did get quite noisey at dinner time with tables set up in reception area. My 2nd stay here.

My wife and I spent one night at Mirabelle. It's a great little three-story building a few blocks from downtown Solvang. The gentleman who greeted us at the door was very gracious. The rooms were nice and large, and the bed was wonderful (we stayed on the third floor). Afternoon wine and snacks was great, and the gourmet dinner was wonderful. If you're looking for some high-end accommodations, I would definitely recommend Miraballe, and I would definitely return there if we're ever in Solvang again.

The Mirabelle Inn offers fantastic service (front desk and hospitality staff). The room we stayed in had a broken love seat that needs to be repaired. Perhaps the best part of the Inn is its location: close enough to downtown Solvang (about 3 minute walk) for exceptional convenience but just far enough away from downtown to avoid the hordes of tourists.
4.6 on April 25, 2014
This B&B was clean, pretty, romantic, relaxing, and the food was wonderful we even really enjoyed the evening wine and cheese reception. I would defiantly come back and recommend to friends. The location is within walking distance of all the adorable little city of Solvang has to offer and close enough to enjoy the a ride to Los Olivos for wine tasteing as well as spend time in Santa Barbara as we did. Wonderful trip!

This was our second time staying at the Mirabelle Inn. And we will return again. Beautiful location, fantastic rooms and décor. Couldn't ask for more. I enjoy spoiling my wife when we get away and take our little trips.
3.8 on April 09, 2014
Mirabelle is a terrific alternative to the larger, mass built motels along Solvang's main streets. Nice accommodations though not really luxurious. Nice free breakfast though is minimalist. Easy street parking. Low water pressure in shower.
3.4 on March 21, 2014
The Mirabelle came highly recommended so we had high expectations. We were not disappointed. The Inn is within walking distance of downtown Solvang but far enough away to be quiet. Our room was generous and nicely appointed. Service was prompt and efficient. There is not a better place to eat in the Santa Ynez Valley. We will definitely be back.
4.2 on March 14, 2014
The room at the Mirabelle Inn was lovely, but the dinner at the restaurant was truly exceptional. We enjoyed the chef's tasting menu with wines paired to each course. The dinner was delicious, subtly seasoned and the wine pairings were perfect. We will definitely return.
3.4 on February 24, 2014
If felt the breakfast was adequate, but not anything to brag about. The bread was good but not cut to put in the toaster. There should have been some fruit available along with the orange juice. And lastly, it would have been a nice touch to have some danish available. I realize you are under new management so perhaps these suggestions would help. Also, our room was lovely, but the foot board on the bed obstructed the view of the fireplace. We were looking for that ambelance while we were in bed. Otherwise the room was lovely We will come back

Spent the night at this cozy and charming little Inn. Very cute and comfortable rooms. Location was perfect...just a short walk to shops and restaurants. Restaurant was closed on Tuesday night, so we couldn't experience that. Maybe next time.

My wife and I spent our 5th anniversary at the Mirabelle over Valentine's Day. The service was wonderful and the dinner on Valentine's Day was exquisite. The young man who kept our water glasses filled excelled at his job. We found out later that it was his first night! Karen Jacks is the new owner and we found her gracious and excited about her vision for the Mirabelle. We will be back!

3.8 on February 04, 2014
This inn is a pleasant environment in a residential area. It is close enough to walk to the main shopping/eating area but far enough away to feel very peaceful. I would not describe the place as luxurious, but the room was pleasant with a nice little gas fireplace. The breakfast was simply delicious but surprisingly without the legendary Danish pastries emblematic of Solvang.

We've stayed here 3 times and would never go anywhere else. Great food, location, rooms. Don't look anywhere else.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mirabella inn. The room was wonderful and very clean. I think we must have had one of the updated rooms as it was very quaint but not run down. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise as compared to other B&B we stayed at. I would highly recommend.

3.4 on November 10, 2013
The staff were wonderful and the breakfast in the morning was a nice treat. Great food in a quaint setting. The location was great, walking distance to all. We even walked to the Mission. Very short and doable for everyone! We found some trash in the drawers, and a lot of dust on the bed frame. The room itself was fine, but the bed needs to be updated. Soft, but a no support. The TV screen was tiny. It worked but it was just dated. We opted to watch the movies on my laptop. I know we rated the room and the cleanliness a bit harshly, but it was a fair and objective rating. With all that being said, we would stay there again.

Staff was extremely attentive and accommodating to our every need. The bed (king size) was so comfortable, wished could ship it home! Initially dealt with a couple of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, but other wise rooms were perfectly prepared and clean. However, towels could stand some upgrading, were too thin and non-plush for a $300.00 a night room!

The staff were most accommodating and friendly during a weekend that had many unexpected changes to what had been scheduled. All in all a delightful time was had by all.
3.4 on October 19, 2013
The food and service were excellent. As a B&B establishment we expected a quiet dining room to celebrate our anniversary. We were extremely disappointed with the restaurant dining room being open to the public. There was a party of 9 people the evening we had dinner. The room is relatively small, and it was so noisy we could not hear each others' conversations.

The short review is that everyone works very hard to make your stay a genuine pleasure. The food in the small restaurant (Th-Sun nights only) is beyond compare. Creative and a great value for what you get. And the menu changes every week. Our room was lovely. We also spent time with Brigette on a wine tour. She was a lovely hostess and my wife who really does not drink wine, had a good time. Get out of LA. Come up here for a relaxing weekend.

Visited Solvang for an extended Labor Day weekend wine tasting getaway and stayed at the Mirabelle Inn for 2 of the nights. Very nice inn, well maintained, and clean & comfortable. Breakfast and afternoon wine/snacks were a treat. Dined in on the open patio the first night, and the food & wine were wonderful. Attentive service throughout our stay. Will be back next time in the region. Thanks.

We had a memorable 50th wedding anniversary at the Mirabelle. The Inn is beautiful, charming and elegant. The staff is friendly, professional and warm. We were given a delicious breakfast each day and complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon. We also had an excellent dinner on the evening of our anniversary, included were complimentary champagne and Port...delicious! We look forward to our next visit to the Inn.

After much research and a last minute decision to head to Solvang for the day, I decided on the Mirabelle Inn for one night. After reading the great reviews I was hoping that this was a good choice and the reviews were correct, we had a great experience. We loved the Inn, our room, the friendly staff and the restaurant food was delicious as well. We did not make a reservation with the restaurant and after we were out all day we decided to come back and see if there was any way they could fit us in for dinner. Last minute they were able to seat us and the dinner was wonderful. It was so nice to enjoy our meal and then literally walk up the stairs to the room for the night. In the morning we had breakfast on the patio, again a great experience. The included breakfast was yummy! I recommend the Mirabelle Inn, just wish we could have stayed longer!

Loved our stay. The staff & owner were extremely friendly & helpful. Enjoyed the winery tour with Brigette and the chef wine pairing dinner was outstanding. Will definitely stay again when in Solvang & have recommended this B&B to our friends already.

We've stayed at the Mirabelle at least a half dozen times in the past couple of years. Solvang itself is pleasant and (usually) quiet, but there's plenty to do in the area; and a plethora of places for wine tasting and dining. The Inn itself is very pleasant, and several of the rooms are lovely. The proprietor, Birgitte, is a treasure trove of wine information, and the restaurant -- which is only open Thursday through Sunday nights -- is one Michelin star level. Since the Mirabelle is a B & B, it should be noted that breakfast selections are limited but their quality is quite good. All in all... Wonderful place.

A new B&B which looks like a old storybook cottage, so compared to an old converted B&B the rooms are very quite. Great service for booking reservations, wonderful wine and finger food and desert in the evening and a very good breakfast. The restrauant is outstanding and they service a fixed course meal with wine parings that is wonderful - they also have a regular menu. Great location just one block off the main street in Silvang and close to many wineries.

we love everything about this lovely little hotel. Mrs Brigitte was a very nice lady and I think she was one of the most beautiful part of Mirabelle Inn. My wife and I came from China, where people seldom saw beautiful things like Solwang as well as Mirabelle. So,this one night stay in Mirabelle was one of highlights in our travelling in States. we would definitily come back again in the future and see you soon,Mrs Brigitte! a chinese couple

We have stayed in Solvang numerous times, but this was our first stay at the Mirabelle Inn. From here on out, it will be the only place we stay. The room was beautiful, romantic and peaceful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The afternoon wine and snacks were an added plus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location - close to the theater and shops.

This was the third time we have stayed at Mirabelle and twice in the same room because we like to sit on the balcony patio and have wine and cheese while watching the visitors roaming the streets and enjoying the scenery.. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast is always a wonderful treat. It is nice to be able to walk to all the down town shops and restaurants, Evening dining at Mirabelle is a very special treat. I only gave a 3 for value because we have stayed before and all expectations were meet again each time we have stayed. If you are looking for a romantic, quite, restful and very special place to stay I and my wife highly recommend Mirabelle.

We only planned dinner at the restaurant once, but after the fantastic meal and breakfast we had to ask Brigitte for another evening. We highly recommend the wine tasting tour - !

We spent a wonderful weekend at Mirabelle Inn . Be sure to ask for Room 8 - the best! Breakfast was much more than expected (Belgium waffles, quiche, fresh fruits, juices, coffee and teas), I can't even describe dinner - beautifully presented, portion appropriate and delicious. We were not rushed and were able to enjoy some very nice wines. Also highly recommend the wine tour (private or group). Brigitte was wonderfully accommodating, personable and knowledgeable. We tasted some fantastic wines and even stopped off and bought fresh garlic. The weekend was a treat and perfect get-away for us. 5 Stars!

This is a beautiful, little inn, with great service. Our room was furnished beautifully, and our bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. But the best part was the food! I had the steak, and it was so wonderful! You could almost cut it with your fork, and it was mouth-watering good! It was served with some kind of potatoes that were scrumptious, and the apricot pastry with ice cream was out of this world! Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

The Mirabelle Inn was a delightful surperise as we revisited the charming town of Solvang after more than 20 years. It's all the little extras that make the Mirabelle special. Twenty minutes after check-in we were sipping wine and enjoying some tasty appetizers on the patio (all complimentary). We had arrived towards the end of this delightful daily event, and the chef noticed that we had missed out on most of the appys, so he brought out more just for us. Dinner in their charming little restaurant mirrored this kind of attention to detail - we had the paired wine dinner, and everything was superb. Ditto for the breakfasts, the sweets laid out in nthe evening - all in all, a wonderful three day getaway in the heart of wine country. Kudos to Norbert and Brigitte for a real focus on quality.

Ashley greeted us and she was very attentive & helpful in familiarizing us with the elevator, room and dinner reservations. Breakfast was wonderful and the service was absolutely superb throughout our one night stay. As you can see, we downgraded the value of the room because of other comprorable hotels in the area but again, the afternoon wine, breakfast and convenient location to the Theatrefest performances was worth the stay. We are season ticket holders to PCPA TheaterFest so most exasperating for me was the attempt at obtaining a special rate for our four months with dinner reservations each of the four nights but each season, the request was routinely rejected. The amazing thing is that many guests at the afternoon wine didn't even know about the TheatreFest until we explained about the wonderful shows and plays. I personally feel that Mgmt. is missing an opportunity here by assuming every guests knows about the wonderful outdoor performances. In the past, we ate at Mirabelle because Norbert does such an excellent job but I question whether management is making their Inn THE hotel to stay for all the performances by PCPA. There is no better recommendation about the hotel, dinning experience, the beautiful area and activities than coming from a guest. Perhaps, maybe next year when I call, Mirabelle Inn may rethink the value of the rooms and their guests. I am sure that Mrs. Noble would agree with this approach - catering or paying attn. to the guests who enjoy the Mirabelle experience.

Room decor was lovely. Staff was caring and responsive. Great location for exploring Solvang on foot. Downsides: Window wouldn't close and it was hard to adjust the water temp for shower and jacuzzi. For the price charged, we would have expected everything to be at its best. We liked the elevator for getting the luggage upstairs. Nice breakfasts and the champagne and wines were tasty.

We stayed at the Mirabelle on a busy holiday weekend. The town was swarming with tourists. This charming little Inn with ivy covered exterior has a real old world feeling. The charm of this place is only exceeded by the delighftul personalities of the staff. Once inside our room, it was so quiet and peaceful. We just didn't hear anything from the outside world and were really able to relax and exhale. The service in the restaurant was also excellent as was the food. Portions are not very large, but taste and presentation were both quite wonderful. If you are looking for a place to stay in Solvang that has character, is immaculate with an excellent staff, this is the ticket.

Most everything was outstanding during our 2 night stay. The Inn is very conveniently located and just a wonderful B&B. We went during the off season so there were only like 1 or 2 other couples there during our stay, whom we rarely saw. My only 2 comments for improvement are the flies in the dining/wine room areas. There were a good half dozen that we tried to swat away. And the next morning, after we saw housekeeping cleaning that room, the dead flies were still on the window sill. Also, in our upstairs corner room we heard a strange rattling outside when the wind kicked up a bit. Turns out there is a wooden or plastic owl on some hanger outside the building which we discovered by looking from outside the next morning - also not sure how much good that owl does since owls need to be perched on something rather than hanging on a wire next to a wall. But for a period of time it banged and was a bit disruptive until the wind died down a bit. Oh, and television is extremely small from bed. High-tech with direct tv and a dvd player built in, but very small screen. So if you like to unwind with some tv before going to sleep it may be an issue. But overall we loved the place and would definitely stay there again. The service was wonderful with a very friendly and helpful staff - outstanding really. And the rooms were very well appointed, comfortable, and large, unlike some other B&B's.

My husband and I stayed here over the Easter weekend and were met with an extremely welcoming host. Brigitte was sincere and charming as if she was welcoming us in to her own home. We arrived later than expected, but it was not an issue at all. She offered us hot tea, wine and dessert (all complimentary) right when we got in and showed us to our room. We were celebrating our one year anniversary and they had provided a small bottle of champagne in the room for the occasion which was a very sweet touch. The room was charming and came with the option of ordering different pillows if the ones on the bed were not to our liking. The hotel locks up their doors after a certain hour so if you do plan on being out late, you must use your room key to let your self in after hours, which made the place feel even more like home. In the morning, breakfast was served in the dining room and had enough choices to satisfy our appetite and then some. Both days cereal, bananas, toast and a pastry of some sort were available, along with coffee, tea and orange juice. In addition to those options, there was also a hot option. Our first morning it was poached eggs over potato hash, and the second morning you had your choice of a ham and cheese omelet or a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Each dish was simple but delicious. All of the serving staff and the hosts were wonderful, very friendly and approachable. In the back behind the check-in desk was a basket with 2 for 1 tastings to a lot of the local wineries and tasting rooms, which was very nice. We missed the complimentary wine tasting both nights we were there, but they also have evening hot tea and sweets that we enjoyed both nights. We didn't eat anything but breakfast in the dining room, but the smells that radiated out of the kitchen were very enticing. Overall we had a wonderful time, left feeling pampered and would definitely return.

while making last minute plans for a quick weekend adventure, i was able to book a room at Mirabelle. we could only sneak away for one night, so it was great to be able to book a room on a weekend night without a two night minimum. Mirabelle is charming and euro-style b&b which was a pleasant find. the food served downstairs was delicious both dinner and breakfast; i would recommend the restaurant whether you stay there or not. and complimentary wine after check-in was a great way to unwind and meet some of the other friendly guests. staff was attentive and polite and the rooms were adorable. the walls are a little thin, so bring an ipod for the compatible speaker available in the room. we will definitely be back!

My husband surprised me with a stay at Mirabelle Inn and Restaurant for my birthday. The room was clean and well appointed with a fireplace, sunken tub, balcony and four poster bed. My husband arranged with the Inn for a bottle of champagne and a candle to be placed in the room. What a wonderful touch! We were greeted at the front desk promptly and with a warm smile. Breakfast in the dining room was delicious. My only recommendation was that the dining room needed to be restocked of plates and cups. We arrived at 9am and were advised to help ourselves to the coffee, tea, juice and continental breakfast items while the chef prepared our hot menu items. Everything looked delicious but my husband and I needed to share a plate and coffee mug because there were only one of each available for the majority of the breakfast. The individual working the front desk that morning was trying to handle check-outs, the elevator repairman and restocking the dining room and was perhaps a tad overextended that morning. She was polite, apologetic and always had a smile so I don't hold it against her, just merely pointing out that perhaps she could use an additional helper during breakfast hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back and I have already been recommending Mirabelle Inn to my friends and family.

If you have not been lucky enough to stumble across this hidden treasure I suggest you plan a visit soon. This quaint bed and breakfast establishment is wonderful. Two visits so far and we have no complaints. The rooms a nice size and clean. Service is friendly on point and the food is divine! The menu changes weekly so you never know what treat you are in for during your stay. Chef Norbert is amazing.

Room was beautiful! We had room 8 with a comfortable bed, fireplace and a huge jacuzzi tub. Staff was pleasant and seemed to care about our stay. The negative part was bathroom window crank handle was stripped out and didn't work. With the window open it was cold and we couldn't enjoy a tub soak. We finally got the window closed and got in the tub to find out that the pop-up drain plug didn't work. We had to screw the plug in and out to operate it which would be difficult for someone with arthritis. These two items were bothersome but these things happen and the girl on duty quickly put in a call for the maintenance tech. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and we would stay at the Mirabelle again (in room 9- it has a balcony!)

High touch! Charming. Service is excellent. Eager to help. Offered a glass of wine upon check-in. Small elevator to take bags to upper floors. Gas fireplace in room. Nice breakfast, but nothing fancy. Walk a couple blocks to shops. High-end dinners open to guests and outsiders in dining area.

Wow! Did we get lucky! Never stayed at a B & B before, and chose the Mirabelle Inn at random. In speaking to other gusets, some had stayed at B & B's all over the world, and count the Mirabelle as their very favorite. The cleanliness and quaintness of the facility is absolutely astonishing. The service, especially by Kelly and Becka was beyond compare, and the breakfasts and daily wine & cheese hour were the best. We will be back as soon as possible. The Roberts

Great Inn well located near (but thankfully not on) the main street. I stayed in room 11 which was very quiet. Email and phone communication was fantastic. Breakfast was great. Reception had a lot of good suggestions for food and sight seeing.

We went to Solvang for my boyfriend's birthday in December 2012. We had a great experience with the Mirabella Inn. We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, but this makes me want to visit more of them. The Mirabella felt like you were staying with family rather than staying in a sterile hotel. There was character and charm to the place and everyone was really friendly. I wish we had taken the time to eat there and have some of the amenities of the wine and snacks, but our time was limited to only a day. I can't wait till we have another trip and stay here again!

Our stay at the Mirabelle Inn was quite pleasant, although, I was a little disappointed that the inn is on a side street even though the picture of it makes it look like it is on the main street. The big surprise for us, though, was the full, delicious, homemade cuisine we were served for breakfast both days of our stay (Brie and Shiitake mushroom omelets -- to which they gladly added fresh spinach at our request -- the first morning and scrambled eggs on Canadian bacon with a waffle topped with bananas and nuts cooked together in a sweet cinnamon sauce). These were among the best breakfasts we have been served at a bed and breakfast (the Shafsky House in Placerville and the Whale Watch Inn and Albion River Inn in Mendocino are also at the top of our list).

Our stay was wonderful. We slept in room 9,which was very romantic. My girlfriend loved the place. My only complaint was the restaurant. Breakfast was ok, but I have had much better breakfasts at smaller B&B's. The issue I had was the dinner. Since we were impressed with the room, we thought having dinner in their restaurant would be equally impressive. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Given the amount we were paying for our appetizers and entrées, we expected more, but we're quite disappointed. The service was also quite slow. After about 15 minutes, we finally received our wine. That wouldn't be such a problem if we had a menu to peruse. No, we had to ask for a menu after the wine was brought to our table. At first there seemed to be only one person serving all of the tables. That explained the slowness. But after a while, another server appeared and service got better. I was disappointed with the mushroom soup. It needed more salt, but so tasted unremarkable. I began to wonder if they simply opened a can of Campbell's and put a few wild mushrooms in it, but watered it down a bit much. My girlfriend did like the lobster mac and cheese, though. I tried it myself and it was pretty good. Another sore point of mine is we were given cold, and I mean cold, bread with cold butter. It has been my experience that warm breads should be served in places commanding the prices we were paying for this meal. I began to feel something was wrong, but decided to withhold judgment until the entrée. I ordered the filet prepared medium. It arrived well-done. That was the final straw. It was still tender, but the juice was all but evaporated. My girlfriend ordered the sea bass, which tasted ok, but the shrimp cakes that came with it were inedible. They remained virtually whole on her plate at the end of the meal. Since the dinner was not up to our expectations, we decided to forgo dessert. We just did not feel it would be up to par with our expectations.

My wife and I stayed at the Mirabelle Inn for her birthday, November 2012. The location, a few blocks from the main tourists avenues, was convenient: Close enough to walk to any of the shops and restaurants but far enough away to avoid the noise and congestion. My wife enjoyed the special recognition of her birthday and the staff was very cordial. Our room was on the second floor facing the back of the inn affording a nice unobstructed view. As the photos show, the furnishings are quaint and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Since this was our first time staying in the Valley, during our stay we visited the other B&Bs I was considering: Ballard Inn, Hotel Corque, Santa Ynez Inn, and we are very happy to have chosen the Mirabelle Inn. Its location and size were very conducive a quiet, relaxing and romantic weekend. The complimentary breakfast was a nice and relaxing way to start our day and the wine and cheese hour (4-5 pm) was a great way to unwind and visit with the other guests (although they did run out of wine before all of the guests had a chance to enjoy). We were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Mirabelle Inn and we are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

The Mirabelle Inn is quaint, charming, warm and lovely. The staff was helpful, informative and cheerful. We had the Romance package that included the couples massage. It was amazing! The massage therapists both exceeded our expecations exponentially...they were professional, attentive and worked magic on my back! Breakfast in the morning was filling, hot and delicious. The room was absolutely adorable and perfectly furnished to make it feel comfortable and cozy. There were little bugs near the window, and that's the only slight complaint...though the bugs were completely harmless and more of a nuisance than anything else. It was such a fantastic evening that my girlfriend and I are already discussing when we'll be able to go back again!

We have stayed several times at the Mirabelle Inn in Solvang, most recently at the end of October 2012. It's a very welcoming and relaxing place. The staff and management are really incredible, first rate. The restaurant is terrific, with delicious, imaginative choices and extremely high-quality, fresh selections. Breakfast is wonderful, and in the afternoon they offer a nice array of complimentary wines, cheese, savories and sweets. The outdoor patio is lovely. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The location in town is ideal. Ever so slightly off the main drag, but within a five-minute walk of pretty much anything you'd want to do in town, including numerous wine-tasting opportunities. Less expensive options are available to be sure, but the value here is great. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. And it's only a few minutes' drive to a variety of attractions, wineries and recreational activities. Highly highly recommended.

The pictures and online reviews convinced us to try the Mirabelle for our 2 night stay in Solvang. The room was picturesque but impractical. The chair and settee in the room while matching the decor were uncomfortable and not easy to sit in. There was no table or desk to sit at to write or work on the computer. And speaking of the computer, the Wi-Fi was so slow we gave up trying to use our laptop. The bathroom had a huge jetted tub which was nice but trying to shower in it meant getting water all over the room since there was no doors or curtain. We were told breakfast was from 8:30 until 10 am but when we arrived in the dining room between 9:30 and 9:40 both mornings, the plate that held the pastries and muffins was empty both mornings and no attempt was made to bring more or to ask us if we would like any. The breakfasts were small and unexciting (a frittata one day and ham and cheese omelet the next). Our final issue, while not the fault of the establishment was that since our room was at the front of the building, the traffic noise in the early morning was loud and constant. It woke us both days. Needless to say, when we next stay in Solvang, we will try another B & B.

Spent a night here recently with my husband to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. The setting was perfect. We had never been to Solvang and we were so pleased with the location of the Inn, as it sits just off the busy streets in a nice setting. We decided to have dinner there as well and it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend this Inn!

Very nice inn about 2 blocks from the center of Solvang, very convenient to walk into town and to drive out to vineyards. We only ate breakfasts and they were very good. They were attentive to gluten free diet and even ahad gluten free bread for us. Room 9 is really nice, with king bed and a private terrace. The best dinner we found was at Los Olivos Wine Merchants, about 10 mintue drive out of town.

Absolutely lovely lodgings -- quiet and clean and comfortable; congenial and helpful staff; wonderful location. We did not have the opportunity to dine at the inn (kitchen closed on Monday) but we were fortunate to have Brigitte (via Mirabelle) escort us on a mini wine tour to four vineyards. She is smart, personable and a terrific host. I highly recommend Mirabelle. I rated the dining as a 5 as the survey will not let you post unless you apply a star, but note again, that we did not dine at Mirabelle.

There's a lot in this bed and breakfast location! No pool or spa, but everything else you might need. There is a pretty outdoor sitting area with table, chairs, fountain and beautiful windows. It's fun to sit outside to eat, read, or just say hello to the dogs and people who walk by.The "living room" is complete with sofa, chairs, side bar with snacks and beverages, all set around a fireplace. The reception lobby connecs to the restaurant which is petite, but nicely arranged and appointed. The breakfasts were appetizing, especially the caramelized bacon and the German pancake. We had dinner there our second night and enjoyed it very much. The lobster macaroni and cheese was great, though I would have wished for a bit more lobster. The wait service was attentive. I particularly appreciated the elevator. Though small (2-3 persons), it was of great assistance to me (with a bad knee) in reaching my second floor room. Our room (#2) was on the small side, but nicely decorated and had everything we would need...robes, coffee, ironing board, fan, a lovely fireplace and local art. The bathroom was clean, though it could use an update. The bed was better than most and provided a comfortable night's sleep with the addition of the pillow selections available. There's a cute back patio off of the parking area, and what you don't have in the view is made up in the convenient location in proximity to town and the theatre. We saw a musical our first night and Brigette had set up the tickets for us. All of the staff was friendly, but Natasha (I think that was her name!) was particularly helpful and fun to talk to! All in all, a very comfortable and lovely place to vacation!

Our stay at the Mirabelle Inn was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Chef's Menu (a four course dinner) was outstanding (though a bit pricey). The breakfasts were very nice as well. In the afternoon they had wine and hors d'oeuvres, with a tasty variety of teas and cookies into the evening, in the sitting room. The Inn is in walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Solvang which was important over the Danish Days weekend where parking was at a premium.

The Mirabelle is a comfortable B&B in a great location for easy walking to downtown Solvang. The food was delicious, the afternoon wine and dessert was well needed after the long day, and breakfast was always excellent. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area . The only downside was the walls were a little thin, so if you are a light sleeper like me, then bring some earplugs just in case.

The Mirabelle was not busy during our stay so once the office was closed for the day the building was locked and there was almost a feeilng of having the house to ourselves. I enjoyed the parlor where tea, hot chocolate, and cookies were available over night. We used the electric fireplace in our room while we enjoyed our coffee the next morning. For us it was was a completely different experience from staying in a room. We plan to return when there are more events going on. We did get a chance to experience the local farmers market which was very enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay with but a few exceptions. The bed was awful, very uncomfortable, and the a/c was loud. Breakfast was very good, but our dinner was weak. They ran out of the chef's tasting menu before our 6:45 reservation. It looked very appealing and a relative bargain with the wine pairing. Service was attentive and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The cookies and cakes were outstanding as were the appetizers and wines that are always available.

Amidst the glorified motor inns of Solvang, the Mirabelle sets itself apart as a beautiful and relaxing B&B. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, the restaurant was very good, the rooms were outstanding, and there was even a wine/cheese tasting every afternoon. True, for $185-$300 or so per night one should expect a higher level of quality overall, but the Mirabelle always met and mostly exceeded any such expectations.

We loved Mirabelle, and everything about it - the lovely decor, the quiet and convenient location, the friendly people, and dinner at the restaurant was so good we went there twice. Breakfasts were delicious and very satisfying, loved the banana bread one morning, ebelskivers the next. This was our first trip to Santa Barbara County, and Solvang is central to many great wineries, so we explored the different valleys and learned more about the region each day. We highly recommend this inn for a romantic stay in the Santa Barbara wine region.

I brought my date to Solvang for Valentine's weekend. We had arrived on a friday evening and we didn't know where to eat. We tried Root 246 on a last minute whim and had a terrible experience to start off with the food and rude manager. However, once Mirabelle Inn and it's attentive staff learned of our bad dinner experience, they made it their mission to make our stay in Solvang an amazing one. We were late for breakfast the following morning as my lady was recovering from the food the previous night. The staff of Mirabelle fired up the kitchen anyways and prepared food for just the two of us. They constantly asked how she was feeling throughout our stay, which really touched us deeply. I made prior reservation for our official Valentine's Day dinner to be in Mirabelle's own restaurant and I was glad i did. We started with the Mirabelle Salad that was light and tasty. Then we both had the filet steak which was juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. The bed of potato cheddar fondue took it to another level. For dessert we shared two dishes, both not overpowering with heavy sweetness but high on taste which is just the way i like it. Delicious! Our room was adorable and cozy with a no fuss fireplace to add to the ambiance. Everything was clean and kept to order. There was wine tasting hour. Though neither of us were wine drinkers, Mirabelle offered to prepare non-alocholic alternatives for us and reminded us that there were complimentary pastry and sandwiches. Both of which were very tasty and just perfect after several hours of exploring the beautiful town. I've taken my girl to places such as Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Punta Cana but she said this is her best hotel experience to date. This is the default place to stay for our future visits and we look forward to it. Thanks Mirabelle for making our trip to Solvang a memorable one. Hope this review helps you!

I sincerely enjoyed my stay at the Mirabell Inn. The location was great the service was outstanding, the breakfast was awesome. I really felt comfortable because the staff made me feel welcomed and I loved that I could walk into town. It was a great place to stay to see the beautiful wine country of the Santa Yanez Valley.

I was expecting a little more for the price of the room. The bed was average, not a very good quality, and small things like cheap toliet paper, and small wine stains on the decrative bed blanket were annoying. Otherwise, it was in a great location and the breakfast was better than I expected. I would stay there again if at a cheaper rate.

I couldn't have asked for a better stay!!! Upon my arrival, Brigitta the proprietor, was so warm & accommodating. I was given a beautiful room on the 1st floor, since I had so many bags with me. Thank you all for the wonderful compliments. Wishing all our treasured guests a wonderful holiday season! Just for the record, the Mirabelle inn and Restaurant is a four story European style villa built in 1994 as a Bed and Breakfast Inn. European tradition, along with modern amenities is alive and well in Solvang. Hope to see you all soon! Kind regards, Brigitte

If you're looking for a delightful B&B in Wine Country - stop looking and book here. My wife and I had occasion to say at Mirabelle Inn this past veteran's day weekend. From my first email correspondence to our checkout, Mirabelle & the Innkeepers were fantastic. Incredible location and well appointed rooms. You can walk everywhere in town, and wine country is at your doorstep. The breakfast was delicious, and dinners were perhaps the best in town. Couldn't have been happier, will gladly recommend to family and friends, and will definitely be back.

We originally had room 4 which was very nicely appointed. After an issue with the new TV system developed, the innkeeper quickly moved us to room 8, which was an very nice upgrade. The friendly staff and beautiful setting made this a very enjoyable anniversary experience.

New to the B&B scene so learning as we go. The Mirabelle Inn was delightful - very quaint, clean and friendly. Was disappointed to learn that the dining room would not be open for dinner during our stay but breakfast was very good. Loved the "lift" as my husband and I are aging and have a hard time with stairs - some B&B's don't accommodate that need so the lift was much appreciated! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely and walking distance to town. Quiet at night and excellent food. Be sure to reserve a dinner reservation too! Really enjoyed the owner and staff. Would stay here again and again.

This is a great place to stay in Solvang since it's so close to all the main streets & attractions. The inn is very quaint with all the ammenities you can expect from an inn. It's very quiet though you can hear the nearby outdoor theater during a performance. Fortunately the performances end around 9pm. All in all, it's definitely worth staying here.

This was a real treat. The Mirabelle is lovely and well-cared for. The breakfast was outstanding. Delicious scrambled eggs and a scrumptious piece of their special French toast. Quiet. The room was small but sweet and very comfortable. I would love to return and I highly recommend the Mirabelle.

The room was huge and gorgeous with antiques everywhere. Bed was very comfortable. Jacuzzi in the bathroom was huge also. Very close to the main street in Solvang could walk to all the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was always wonderful too!!!! Everyone was very friendly and accomodating!!!!Great stay!!!!

Everything was great from the moment of our arrival to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We ate in the dining room the first night, and had reservations for another restaurant in the area for our second night. My husband liked the food so much we decided to eat in both nights. And, of course, the breakfast was spectacular. The staff at Mirabelle Inn were all great. I now need to email the chef to see if I can get his recipie for potato noodles.

We really enjoyed our stay, from the warm welcome to the kind farewell. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The jacuzzi tub and fireplace were added bonuses. The inn was located right in the middle of town so we were able to enjoy Solvang on foot. The service was wonderful and the staff was very attentive. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed at the Mirabelle Inn for 2 nights while in Solvang for a wine tasting tour. The Inn was very nice. Great breakfast and evening wine and appetizers. I would have liked for the hosts to be a little friendlier and forthcoming with recommendations for the area.
Thanks for all the wonderful reviews! We thoroughly enjoy helping guests get to know our area and are always happy to recommend things to do and places to go. However we don't want to patronize our guests so we hope that they will ask when they need additional information. Always eager to help!

My boyfriend and I went there on the weekend of July 4th. We had nothing but the greatest experiences. The staff is very helpful and informed. We stayed in room nine. It was spectacular. The bed is huge and comfy. The bathroom has an enormous Jacuzzi tub and the water is soft and fragrant. On Friday we went to the Hitching Post. The steaks were good but the next night we went to the Mirabelle Restaurant and the steaks that we had there were much better than the same steak cuts we had the Hitching Post. The restaurant is the best in Solvang. Everything is an experience. The chef and the staff leave nothing to chance. The meal is exquisite from start to finish. It is the perfect amount of food. The flavors of each particular course leads you up to the next course until you are completely sated, not stuffed. If you want a culinary experience that is nonpareil the Mirabelle Inn is the place.

The only thing I would change is a little more comfortable/softer bed in room 9. It's not bad, and I may be more sensitive to this than some.

This was my first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast and I simply loved it... the B&B is centrally located so all the shops and bars are walking distance. This was also my first time taking a wine tour and Brigitte made the experience memorable. The massage service was excellent. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I will definitely stay at Mirabelle again. As a matter of fact, I'm already looking in to booking for another getaway to this B&B.

We had a lovely stay at the Mirabelle. It's in an excellent location for walking throughout Solvang. The front desk manager was very helpful and went above and beyond to assist us in a couple of areas. Our room was very pretty with an extremely comfortable bed and a nice table and two chairs to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning before a very nice breakfast.

We spent a wonderful two nights at the Mirabelle Inn. The room was beautiful and we had a balcony that overlooked a quiet tree lined street. The balcony was a wonderful place to bring a glass of wine and relax. The restaurant was quiet and the service was outstanding. The food at both breakfasts and the one dinner we had there was great. We look forward to staying there again sometime.

Mirabelle is a charming 4-story B&B on a quiet street in Solvang. We were greeted, shown to our room, and offered a snack & wine. Our windows opened, and the only noise we heard were chirping birds and distant bells. A lovely setting. Our room had a comfortable king bed, everything very clean. The bathroom was small (but tidy) and the closet was spacious - and contained extra blankets and pilows. We stayed mid-week and were thrilled that we didn't hear noise from other guests. No crying babies, no sound systems, no loud TV. A rarity and a blessing. The only caveat is stairs. The inn has a small elevator that goes to the third floor - so if you are on the fourth floor, you have to drag your bags up a few stairs. We were offered help with our bags, and everything was soon in place. When we were checking out, the housekeeping department had the elevator locked. My husband walked the 3 flights to unlock the elevator, so we could bring our bags down. The restaurant was closed the night we stayed, but we will back for another visit and to sample the restaurant.

My Fiance and I took a weekend trip which included a 1 night stop in Solvang. We stayed at the Mirabelle Inn, and were very pleased with the service, ambiance, and the experience overall. Solvang shuts down in Spring at about 6PM on a Sunday, so we were disappointed with the town more than anything and had dinner at a nearby restaurant that was disappointing, but the Mirabelle was great - very nice spacious room, a tub that was almost too big (almost, but not quite ;-) ), comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious! We would definitely go back if we visit Solvang again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mirabelle Inn. The room was lovely and clean. Bed was exceptional, other furniture in the room was not of the same quality (rickety rocking chair and sette was not very comfortable). I would recommend this inn for couples, but also look into staying in Los Olivos. Breakfast was delicious, and service was pleasant, however, they could have been more helpful in suggesting wineries nearby and other things to do. Restaurant was not open on weekdays, but there are other nice options in town.

The Mirabel obviously was a beautiful inn sometime in the past but has lost its glow. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and the housekeeping was awful. In order to get the dirty coffe cups removed and replaced with clean cups and more coffee we had to ask and then we were just handed the replacements.... No apology or promise to have it cleaned up. Customer service sorely lacking. The front desk person never checked to see that the hors d'oevres dishes were cleaned up from the night before (2 nights), and cheese, wine, etc. were not replenished for incoming guests. Perhaps the most disturbing was the dirt: bathtub, carpets, stairs etc. Would not have stayed 2 nights if we had not prepaid. Won't go back.
We are very sorry that this guest was disappointed. Our housekeepers have worked here for many years and take pride in their work. Certainly some things may be overlooked at times, but our inn is clean and comfortable. During our wine hour we replenish appetizers as needed and guests come in, rather than having a lot of food sit around for a long time. The appetizers and dishes are put away and cleaned up every evening after guests have finished. At times guests take their plates to the room and drop them back in the parlor sometime late at night or in the morning. I assume that is what might have happened here.

This was my first time staying at the Mirabelle Inn. Overall it was a very nice experience. What a treat it was to have a nice cozy room with a fireplace with the rain outside. Little things like giving directions on how to get to vineyards, customizing our breakfast a little to fit within a diet, and helping make the process of going through Bedandbreakfast.com easy were the extra things done to make our stay there more enjoyable. Mark at the front desk was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful.

By far the best service we've ever had at a bed and breakfast. We had exceptional food at the restaurant and really enjoyed the nightly desserts and wine happy hour with appetizers. The staff was wonderful and very personable. The breakfast dining was open between 8am to 10am with a variety of tables where you could talk to others if you so wished, or have a private breakfast with your loved one. We will be back!

We reserved here because friends wanted to stay in solving. Ordinarily, b&bs are not my first choice. I must say everyone at the mirabelle was helpful, friendly, but didn't impose on your time unless you needed something. The common room on the Main floor was a great place to gather in the evening. The breakfast was very tasty and immediately tailored for dietary requests. The rooms were spacious; the bathrooms could use an update but are functional. I left a very happy customer. I might suggest they clear out the merchandise and scented products in the reception area. It clutters up the space and gave me an initial panic attack that the entire property was like this (it most emphatically was not). Also, the heavy scented products were not appetizing and assaulted me every time I walked into the area. The mirabelle is charming with a terrific staff; it doesn't need the bric a brace and frou frou.

I recently stayed at the Mirabelle over Valentine's Day weekend. I was in room 2, which was beautifully decorated, smelled wonderful, and had a very comfortable bed. Each morning I would wake to the sound of birds singing outside. I'd advise calling and inquiring about the different rooms. Some have whirlpool tubs for 2 and 4 poster beds. Breakfast on Saturday morning was a belgian waffle with fresh fruit and fresh whipped cream on top, with scrambled eggs on the side. Also available was granola, fresh orange juice, coffee, milk, and tea. Saturday night I had dinner at the restaurant and ordered the sea scallops with smoked paprika on top of crab risotto. I tasted great. My wife had the duck breast. I can't remember the little details on that one, it just tasted perfect. The duck was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had orange souffle with Grand Marnier whipped cream. Very delicate and tasty. The staff was great during our stay and was helpful answering questions about the area and things to do. The afternoon wine was nice and presented with a nice assortment of cheeses. Evening tea and snacks was great, with a good choice of teas. The Inn is located right off Copenhagen (the main street), and is within walking distance of tons of shops and vineyard tasting rooms. I won't be staying anywhere else when I visit Solvang.

My fiancee and I spent three days in the wine country and we stayed at this wonderful hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Solvang but within miles from all the Santa Ynez wineries. The service is excellent and our room was spectacular. It had a fireplace and a two-person jacuzzi tub. The hotel itself felt very quaint and had a home feeling to it with a very good complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese refreshments in the afternoon. Overall, this hotel greatly exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning here when we come back to the Santa Barbara wine country.

We were made to feel very welcome. The wine and snacks in the parlour is a nice touch early evening. The breakfasts - we felt very spoilt - lovely and different breakfasts, all home made fresh. Rooms are very homely with fire places. We will certainly stay there again if we come back to Solvang for sure.

We have been back to Solveng as a basecamp for the Santa Ynez winecountry and this time we stayed at the Mirabelle. The rooms were great, loved the juccuzi, the freplace the very comfortable bed and last but not least the very tasteful artwork on the walls. The stuff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very good. I think of all the places so far in Solveng the Mrabelle was by a good stretch the best. We would recommend it without reservation. Book early though it is often full and look out for these jucuzi rooms, the are great.

Mirabelle Inn is a very nice Inn and the rooms are quite nice and accommodating. The town of Solvang is quaint and being near the local SB wineries is a major plus. The Mirabelle Inn Restaurant is outstanding. The food and wine were perfect and the service was excellent. I will definitely (actually, I already have!) recommend this place and will definitely return. Thanks to their staff for a nice, albeit quick, stay!

Everything was great! Beautiful setting. Far enough from downtown Solvang to be quiet, while well withing walking distance of town. The dining was exquisite! The staff was extremely attentive. The decor was reminiscent of hotels we've stayed at in England, as was the service. It was really a very nice place. We plan on returning again, next year, and checking out some of the other rooms!

The Mirabelle Inn is located on a quiet side street in Solvang that conveniently allows you to walk to town in just minutes. The inn keeper is very accommodating and makes her guests feel very much at home. The restaurant at the Inn is absolutely fabulous. We had dinner there one evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meals (grilled scallops with butternut squash risotto and lamb chops with ratatouille). Breakfast was also a terrific and plentiful. We liked the location as a starting point to get to Santa Ynez Wine Country as well. Los Olivos is ten minutes away and there are numerous wineries to visit within a ten mile radius. We were very pleased with our accommodations. I would highly recommend staying at the Mirabelle Inn and would definitely stay there again.

Everything was great at this hotel. Room prices are on the higher side, but at least it is close to everything. Only thing I wish they had were deals with the wine tasting rooms. Apparently other hotels have 2 for 1 deals setup with the wine rooms, but Mirabelle didn't.
3.8 on November 11, 2010
The Mirabelle is very quaint and cosy. The room had pretty antiques and a fireplace, was comfortable, well apponited and clean. Poor water pressure in the shower and the bathroom was nothing special. Service was exceptional with a very helpful and cheerful staff who were happy to accomdate a few non-conventional requests. Breakfasts were very nice and worked for both a carnivorous husband and a vegetarian wife. All in all a great spot for a romantic getaway.

We will absolutely return for another stay, and highly recommend the Mirabelle to others.....

I can't say enough good things about this inn and restaurant. My wife and I choose this location for a romantic getaway. It felt like a home away from home. They were very occomadating to our every request, from arrival time to even altering the breakfast options to something more to our liking. The location was perfect, close to town yet not on the main streets, tucked away but still very welcoming. Even as close as it was to the shops and restaurants of Solvang it was hard to want to leave the inn. The quaint restaurant offered an extroadinary selection of cuisine and the Chef prepared the food with such perfection that no words could describe the delicate flavor. It is definatley a place that requires experienced tastes and is not like any other stay I've had. I've stayed at places from east coast to west and even Hawaii and this is still the best experience I've ever had. Again, a home away from home.

Absolutely do not miss eating dinner here. In addition to romantic rooms with gas fireplaces, lovely common areas and the most amazing gourmet breakfasts in a window filled circa 1920's large sitting room, the food at the restaurant was the best in our 3 nights there. Great location for a morning or evening stroll through town, easy access to all the roads to wineries. Would not stay anywhere else.

My wife and I renewed our vows by celebrating our wedding at the Mirabelle Inn. We had our evening ceremony just outside in the front patio and evening reception in the restaurant. The Inn's restaurant is ideal for small parties. Ours had a total of 18 adults and minors participating. Additionally, we had a wedding day coordinator, a live one-man musician guitarist, a photographer and her assistant and our officiant. Not to mention some staff help of the Mirabelle Inn. This was made intentionally into a small but quaint wedding. Half of our guest rented out four (4) of the rooms there. Feedback from our guest staying at the Inn were pleased as so were we. Although the room rates vary by season and may be a bit pricey, we will continue to stay and dine at the Mirabelle Inn celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food served during dinner is excellent and the morning breakfasts are always a nice surprise and delicious. Thank you very much.

I mentioned to my wife that if I were a well to do bachelor and man about town, I would rent a room at Mirabelle's on an annual basis just for the amenities, charming decor and turn of the century ambience. Stepping into a bygone era, to enjoy the antique decor was a pleasure in itself. The tasty treats of lemon bars, wine and cheese left out to nosh on before retiring was a nice touch. Being on the west side of the inn, to drink in the last rays of sunset on the distant hillsides was our restive goodnight. The pleasant demeanor and attentiveness of Brigitte, our hostess, made our stay most enjoyable. Hard working and industrious Mark, with his attention to detail and courtesy at the reservation desk made things runs smoothly. Whenever Solvang is on our iternerary again, it will be the Mirabelle Inn for us. Regards, Steve and Benie

I booked room 9 at the Mirabelle as part of my weekend plans to propose to my girlfriend. I selected both the Inn and the room based on the pictures and descriptions on the website. I had very high expectations based on those and the Mirabelle and staff certainly lived up to them. My fiance is still raving about how beautiful the Inn and our room was. I was very happy that they really lived up to the pictures on the web. Brigitte went beyond normal duty with some special pre-arrival arrangements for the room. The online reservation system went very smoothly, with a personal call back to confirm as well as an email. I really liked being able to select the specific room. The restaurant really exceeded expectations with fantastic breakfasts and dinner. We ended up eating there both nights, since we wanted to try everything on the menu. We are both looking forward to another trip to the Mirabelle. I think it will always be our first choice of places to stay in Solvang. Kudos to Brigitte and company.

From a very fulfilling breakfast (potato gratin with poached egg, ableskivers and frittata) down to late afternoon wine, crackers, and cheese and also mouth watering cookies/cakes, coffee and tea at nightime. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. Marc was very helpful, accomodating, and welcomed us as if we've been coming there forever even though it was our first time. The food at the inhouse restaurant too is the best! Will definitely come back again and again. Libby, San Diego, CA

A friend and I needed a night away and recently stayed at the Storybook Inn in Solvang, CA. This was actually a return visit for me. The hospitality is reminicient of "days gone by" in that we were greeted with great courtesy. The room was a delight with great attention to detail and cleanliness. The afternoon wine/cheese and evening coffee/cookies was a welcome addition. Finally, the breakfast was gourmet. Our time at the inn and in Solvang truly was a treat.

A charming moderately sized B&B, nicely located in a quiet residential area just a block from PCPA and about 2 blocks from the main town area. Rooms are sweet, furnished with antiques. The stars of this B&B are the inkeepers - gracious and accomodating, but not oversolicitous. Breakfast is served in the lovely and cozy dining room. While only a few selections were offered, both of which we found delicious, the innkeeper was happy to make any adjustments or even substitutions requested by guests. Overall, an excellent find - I'm definately considering bringing my daughter for a girls' weekend this winter.

Brigette was very pleasant and friendly, and she did everything possible to make us comfortable and our stay very special. Breakfasts were fantastic! We had dinner at Bacchus one night. The food and wine were delicious, but pricey. The service was friendly but slightly mediocre. We would definitely recommend the Storybook Inn!

We were in the room called the Swan's Nest and it exceeded our expectations. The Bachus Restaurant was excellent! We ate there Friday and Saturday nights and we were both pleased. However, beware that it can be pricey but I was willing to pay the price and as a result, we had a GREAT meal! The B&B it self is very welcoming and there is more to the B&B than meets the eye. It is a three story building (and it does not seem like it from the outside) and the Swan's Nest was large with its own patio. I should note that it is the only room that has a patio. The other thing we really liked about the Storybook Inn is the fact that it is VERY close to downtown Solvang and so when you wake up in one of the rooms, you'll be greeted by Brigitte as you walk into the Bachus restaurant for your Storybook Inn Breakfast and when you are done, you can just walk directly into downtown Solvang and go shopping!

My husband and I just arrived back into town after staying a few days at The Storybook Inn Bed and Breakfst in Solvang. The place was absolutley beautiful! We went there to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to "get away from it all" . Well, we sure had a wonderful time and we definitley felt as if we were away from everything. The Storybook Inn is a very cozy, "home" feeling place that looks like it is part of a small town in Europe. The Innkeeper (Christine) always took great care of us and attended to any and all of our needs. The food was spectacular (which, by the way, was also prepared by Christine). Not only did we get a made to order breakfast every morning, but as a guest we also enjoyed fabulous wine and appetizers daily. It was such a cute, quiet, quaint place and the surroundings were spectacular as well. Thank you for the great time. We will definitley be going to The Storybook Inn more frequently. A definite 10+!!!!!!!
