    Wonderful, peaceful, and beautiful.

    February 09, 2013

This wonderful lodge is perfectly situated under gigantic oak trees at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains. We had booked a standard king room, but when we arrived, noticed some nicer places up on the hill towards the back of the property. Bob gave us a tour and we were delighted to find large bungalows and suites with whirlpool tubs and fireplaces, balconies, views, champagne glasses, nice linens, new carpeting, new flat screens with direct tv. We chose a downstairs bungalow with the tub and fireplace and were completely satisfied with the experience. Nice granite countertops, good wifi, Peet's coffee, quiet nights. It is now our favorite "little secret" in the south bay.

    what a shock!

    October 26, 2011

When we arrived it appeared to be an old motel. The room was like an old cabin like I have seen in mountain areas like Lake Tahoe or Reno, Nevada. I went to Saratoga because it is an elite area, for a special birthday. The bathroom was moldy. The tv had four channels and it's cabinet had broken drawers and was made of old wood.(hense cabin feel) The kitchenette was like an old mobile home. The bedspread was worn out and holey. It was gross and stinky and an utter nightmare. The lady there looked so unprofessional. The air conditioning wasn't working properly. Don't go there.
