Escape to a bygone era at The Gables Inn, a beautifully restored Victorian mansion sitting on three acres in the center of the spectacular Sonoma Wine Country. Built in 1877 and known as the Gables since its early days, the Gables Wine Country Inn is a striking example of High Victorian Gothic Revival architecture. Three Italian marble fireplaces, a spectacular mahogany spiral staircase, and soaring twelve foot ceilings grace her interior while fifteen gables crown the unique keyhole shaped windows of her exterior. Each spacious guestroom has been furnished and decorated to reflect the historical detail found in only the most elegant Victorian mansions. Antique armoires, period artwork, and luxurious goose down bedding grace our quaint but spacious rooms. All guestrooms feature a private bath with an antique claw foot tub. Separate from the main house is William and Mary’s Cottage, a cozy little hideaway an extra large Jacuzzi bathtub, loft queen bed, kitchenette, and wood burning fireplace. A wonderful gourmet breakfast of homemade breads and pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a delicious entrée made from fresh local ingredients awaits you each morning in our lovely dining room. Stretching in all directions around our inn is the charming, diverse oasis of the Sonoma Wine Country. Take a drive out to the Pacific Ocean, relax along the Russian River, or visit one of the hundreds of local wineries. Mild winters and sunny summers make this a perfect getaway any time of year.

We stayed at The Gables with Pam and Larry for our honeymoon. It was amazing. The breakfast is three courses every morning and if you have to leave early to make an appointment they will make you a bagged breakfast. We stayed in the cottage. It was very private. Larry also has a map of the area and he will show you all the places to go. You also get a wine pass that gets you free tastings at over 100 different winery's. We can't wait to come back.

My sister and I stayed at The Gables Wine Country Inn for about a week in August 2014 and it was truly a magical experience, and innkeepers Pam and Larry Willis made us feel as if we were staying in their private home. B. Wise private wine cave tour and tasting was one of the highlight experiences! also Safari West. We had a surprise at 3:20 am on August 24th while staying in the Parlor Room - the 6.1 Napa earthquake! We stayed three nights each in the Parlor Room and the Library Room and loved them both. The Library Room entry door is right next to the coffee/tea area, and Pam always has a lidded glass jar filled with her fresh-baked cookies of various kinds. We loved the breakfasts. Pam and Larry are chefs. The first course is a bread or scone or muffin baked by Pam. The second course is a fruit course, also by Pam, and often includes fruits from their own garden. Larry prepares the third and last course each day, and Pam serves it. We had souffles, grits with poached egg, and "the Larry." The most important reason I will return to The Gables is Pam and Larry (and their sweet little dog Stella). They absolutely love what they do as innkeepers, and it shows in the loving way they care for their guests. I felt like family, and I know I will feel that way every single time I stay at The Gables Wine Country Inn. I highly recommend The Gables to anyone, nearby or far away, who is looking for the best accommodations ever, in a location that is rural but within minutes of the 101 freeway and downtown Santa Rosa.

Wow! What a great place. The rooms are quite large and very clean. The property and staff are top notch. Breakfast was heavenly. I would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I spent three great nights with Pam and Larry at the Gables. Big, well appointed room in a true Victorian house. The breakfasts were amazing, bread, fruit and egg courses. The "Larry" was outstanding. The cookie jar was always full of delicious treats. Well located for Sonoma and Russian River winery tours. Pam and Larry can recommend and arrange winery visits. They also have good recommendations for local Santa Rosa dinning. We have stayed in many B&Bs, the Gables is among our top three!

It was our first time staying in a Bed and Breakfast, and we were very happy to have chosen this one. Pam and Larry provided warm hospitality, a delicious 3 course breakfast and a friendly and safe environment. We had a great time at their place.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Gables. The host Pam and Larry were great. We had a very early morning and they provided us a "bag breakfast" that we could enjoy on our way to our hot air balloon ride. The second morning we were treated to wonderful baked items made by Pam and a great egg, bacon, tomato, avocado and homemade bread creation by Larry. They had recommendations for dinner and made reservations for us. We would definitely stay with them again.

This is everything you could ask for in a B&B! The room was the best I seen. The breakfast, WOW, never had a better one. The next time I'm in the San Fran area I will be back there again.

From the moment we made the booking Larry & Pam went out of their way to make our arrangements for our weekend. They enquire about what we were interested in, offered recommendations for wineries, restaurants and cafes and they made reservations where needed. The house itself is so charming. It's beautifully maintained, the rooms are spacious yet cosy and the gardens are gorgeous. It was lovely waking up and looking outside, surrounded by rolling vineyards. There's also a piano downstairs that can be used by guests. There were a few other couples staying in the house at the same time along with a mum and young daughter having a weekend away. We all joined in the delightful dinning room at 9am for breakfast. I have to say this was the best breakfast I've ever had at a B & B. Talk about gourmet!! And about 4 courses! It was a perfect start to a day of wine-tasting. The highlights for me was the cheese soufflé & the poached pear & baked apricots! We also enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon on the deck out the back - it was so relaxing!! Thanks Pam & Larry. We'll be back!!

This is a charming B&B in a beautiful historic house run by two of the nicest, most professional people you will meet. The accommodations and service were way above our expectations. I greatly enjoyed Pam's delicious, gourmet three-course breakfasts during our stay. We also had the opportunity to attend a wonderful wine-paired dinner, that was one of the highlights of our vacation.
