The hostess of Bridge Creek Inn B&B gives attention to detail which is unsurpassed by other lodgings. The couple who own the B&B have created a welcoming environment and they do everything they can to make you comfortable. The surroundings in San Luis Obispo are spectacular with the home nestled in the hillsides . We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Because of its beautiful location, it was very peaceful and quiet, There were green hills all around. Our room was excellent and it had a deck right outside. Also we could sit anywhere we wanted to in the house. The early evening wine and snacks was a very nice touch and we a great conversations with Sally and Gene. The breakfast was delicious.

My daughter and I stayed at the Bridge Creek Inn for 2 nights in late March and felt we'd found a perfect place to stay. We loved the peaceful countryside surroundings, the beautiful house, and the delicious breakfasts. Sally is a gracious and engaging hostess. We thoroughly enjoyed all our interactions with her.

We stayed at the Bridge Creek Inn for my husband's birthday weekend. The location close to several wineries and downtown San Luis Obispo is why I picked this place. We were looking for something quiet, relaxing and off the beaten path and we found it. The inn keepers are very accomodating and added that little extra something special that made us feel very welcome.

We recommend Bridge Creek to those who want an elegant, easy retreat. It has beautiful views, charming a hosts, and is close to many attractions: the ocean, wineries, downtown SLO. A true gem.

We recently had the pleasure and absolute delight of staying at the wonderful Bridge Creek Inn B & B at San Luis Obispo.Although it was just for one night the stay couldn't not have been better.Sally and Gene were the most charming hosts you could imagine,the bed was very comfortable and Sally's breakfast in the morning was simply magnificent.The picturesque setting was beautiful too.It was a shame w both had colds which was really annoying for us but staying at the Bridge Creek Inn was a major plus for us on our trip to the states and we would recommend it to anyone Lyall & Ruth Zazryn Melbourne,Australia

We are so thankful that we found Bridge Creek Inn on this website. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 20th anniversary. As residents of the Central Coast, we often drive through and by beautiful rural scenes, but we rarely get to linger and enjoy such settings. The Bridge Creek Inn allowed us to do just that. It felt like we were "out in the middle of nowhere," and yet we were literally 6 minutes away from a Starbucks! We were able to enjoy the feeling of getting away without having invested hours of driving. The Inn itself was very well kept and was full of nice little touches and hospitable details (from a filtered water dispenser in our room's bathroom to lots of books to read, board games and local menus). We took full advantage of our room's nice tub and sauna, too! Our hosts were wonderful, too. Very attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed our wine and appetizers in the evening, as well as the lovely chat with our hosts. Breakfast was scrumptious and we were thrilled to take home the recipe for Bridge Creek Inn's famous lemon curd! Yum!! We hope to return this Spring to enjoy the amazing views, the warm hospitality and the clear starry sky. Thanks, Bridge Creek Inn!!

I took my mom here for her birthday. It was the first time she stayed at a B&B and she felt very pampered - especially with the home-cooked breakfasts every morning which were delicious! Sally and Gene were very gracious and made us feel very welcome. Would love to come again and highly recommend!

We've stayed at the Bridge Creek twice in the span of 8 years. Both times we really enjoyed our stay and felt completely rested and relaxed. The breakfast is wonderful and the sky at night is just incredible. We hope to return again, and not wait as long between visits this time!

It was so nice I wanted to move in for good!! The owner Sally was a wonderful cook and really knew the area. The only negative (if you even want to call it one...some might call it a positive!) was that it was a bit tricky to find. I would recommend getting there during daylight the first time. Very peaceful!!

Bridgecreek Inn is located in the perfect location! Wineries, dozens of great restaurants, the Pacific Coast Highway, and beaches all minutes away. And yet, the patio, hot tub and almost every window look out towards the beautiful mountain range. There is no light pollution so the stars shine down as we relaxed in the hot tub after a day of hiking nearby trails. If you are considering visiting the San Luis Obispo area this is the place you should stay at. Thank you Sally and Gene for allowing us to enjoy it, hope to return soon.

We had a great time at the Bridge Creek Inn. The host are great. We had fun having conversation during the daily wine hour and they were very accommodating to our dietary restrictions.

This place is perfect. By far the best B&B we have ever stay in. I just cannot understand why anyone would want to stay in a B&B in town when there is this great jewel out in the country.

Wonderful and peaceful setting. Great location for going on long walks, bird watching etc. Will be coming back again!

Fabulous place, fabulous view, fabulous food, fabulous innkeepers!!!!

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and felt so much at home. We walked every morning after excellent breakfasts. Very quiet and secluded, yet close enough to San Luis Obispo to enjoy fine dining and shopping.

Bridge Creek Inn was just what we wanted in our First B&B experience. Secluded and private! Beautiful house! The Hosts Gene and Sally were delightful! We enjoyed our 2 night stay and will now look into staying at B&B's for all our trips thanks to our experience at Bridge Creek Inn.

We've stayed with Gene & Sally at Bridge Creek many times and consider it our "home away from home" while in the beautiful central coast area. We feel welcomed when we arrive, both by Gene & Sally and of course by Tiger Lily, the watch-cat. The rooms are always spotless, the breakfasts are great, the cocktail hour features interesting local wines, the wood bin for the fireplace is always full and you just can't beat the view toward the hills! As well, Sally will fill you in on the local wineries, often providing a personal introduction to a winemaker or owner. She also keeps up on the local restaurant scene, providing guidance to the "latest & greatest". We can't think of a more pleasant place to stay in the SLO area.

Just in case anyone reading this review is "cat allergic", rest assured that this wonderful, purring fur ball called Tigerlily is an outside/garage cat!

We stayed 2 nights, very nice accommodations and surrounding countryside great for walking. A perfect location for taking off for daily winery visits and coastal treks. Really the only drawback was the innkeeper. Although she was nice, helpful and had an obvious pride in her B & B, there was an underlying current of stinginess, which we found uncomfortable, irritating and almost confrontive, and we would not return because of it. When we checked in, instructions and 'tour' seemed limiting and patronizing instead of welcoming and hospitable. Lovely entry fountain and inside water feature were not turned on unless we asked, and then it was quickly turned off again. OJ at breakfast was half of a tiny glass and I got a look when I wanted more. Same went for wine in the evening...it was clear you were only to take tastes and the appetizers were sparingly doled out as well. Breakfast was different, where seconds were nicely offered. One of our favorite features was a filtered drinking water spigot right in our bathroom.

I’m very sorry that these guests felt their stay was less than perfect. Yes, I have a “conservation” bent to me and I do turn off lights and waterfalls when guests are not in the living room and actively enjoying the water sounds and/or using the lights. I think that this is a desirable thing to do, and I’m sorry it was construed as being “stingy”. Not only does such behavior help me to keep my rates low, but I just believe we all need to conserve and recycle. I can only suggest that you read on and see what others have to say about our inn and/or come try it yourself. I think most folks are extremely happy that they have done so.

We love to stay there and and feel a kinship with Sally and Gene Kruger the proprietors.

This is the place to stay when you're in SLO and want quiet, yet it's only about 10 minutes from town. Only two rooms here, so it is like having your own house, especially if you have another couple taking the other room. We had the larger room, which has an expansive bathroom and even a sauna. Very luxurious yet homey. The hot tub is fantastic under the starry sky, and the food and wine are outstanding. We were lucky enough to have Mary cooking for us, and she's a gem. Definitely a wonderful B&B!

This is a beautiful and peaceful location, near wineries, and a very short distance to downtown San Luis Obispo. Bridge Creek Inn has pleasing and interesting architecture, relaxing interior with thoughtful furnishings, comfortable beds and great amenities. Add to this a delicious breakfast, afternoon wine and appetizers, and interesting, flexible and friendly owners and it is just perfect for us. We love this place, and will definitely return.

We had a great time at Bridge Creek Inn. It's a great combination of modern inn keeping with its free Internet connection and jetted bath tub, while it maintains the expected uniqueness that a typical B&B devotee would enjoy. Everything from a claw footed bathtub, extra fluffy beds and covers, a charming common room and even a friendly country kitty (Tiger Lilly). You'll enjoy being in the outdoor patio hot tub as the day ends, horse riders in the distance head home and the stars come out over the dramatic hills out the backyard. Be sure to spend some time with Sally and Gene to get great guidance to the local wineries. Finally, you can't leave the SLO area without being grossed out in the most interesting of gross ways! Get Sally to give you directions to Bubble Gum Alley! A one of a kind place - just like Bridge Creek might be your one of a kind place.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. A beautiful home and view. Breakfast was terrific.

We decided to beat the crowds at the beach over the 4th of July and with a little research found this gem in the country, The house is perfect for a relaxing home base while wine tasting and Sally and Gene were wonderful hosts. It was quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and were able to have a jacuzzi under the stars. The rooms were large and comfortable as was the bed. Each room had it's own deck for privacy as well as a nice deck in the common area where we shared wine and cheese with the other guests and the proprietors after our day. The is without a doubt the best "deal" in the Edna Valley. We would not hesitate to stay there again and have already given the name to friends planning to visit the area. Linda and Paul

We were making the trek down highway one from los angeles to san francisco and were lucky enough to stay at the bridge creek inn-I wish we could have stayed for longer. The owner was welcoming and served great food-also provided great information on the area. We had the whole house to ourselves and were able to enjoy the stars and hot tub in absolute tranqulility. Would rec this for travlers on a weekday as the prices were very reasonable.

Great hosts with great knowledge of local activities, tasty homemade food from local and fresh and ingredients, restful location. Very pleasant. A definite return vacation and stay

We stayed on a rainy weekend in June and were the only people staying in the house. The hospitality was wonderful, especially the conversation with our hosts at the wine hour. The room was bigger than appeared in the pictures, the views were incredible, and the breakfast was delicious (especially strawberry muffins and homemade preserves!). The hot tub and location made the value outstanding. The one thing to note is that it is situated in the middle of wine country about a 10 minute drive from downtown SLO and 15 minutes from Pismo Beach. Not the right choice for people wanting to be in the middle of the action or for people without a car, but perfect for a weekend of seclusion or a winery-centric visit. Loved it, will definitely return.

Sally was a warm, friendly host who made sure we had what we needed. She even went above and beyond making egg-free breakfasts and evening cookies since I'm allergic to eggs. The hot tub under the stars was lovely too. Only wish is the Golden room to have a blackout shade or cover for the diamond shaped window so we could have slept in more. :)

we had a very nice relaxing "sejour". very welcoming! We could invite our guests for breakfast for a special family moment. It was like being "at home"!

Outstanding modern architecture. You have the spacious home to enjoy - just you and one other guest. Having only two rooms offers opportunity to get to know the host and other guests well (on the other hand, if you're looking to completely hide away, that would be difficult here). Food and wine were excellent. This place has much to offer for such a private setting.

My Fiance took me here to celebrate my birthday. I LOVE the country and quiet so I was in heaven! Sally & Gene could not have been more sweet. Sally's Popover's we had one morning for breakfast we delicious, as was everything else! We jacuzzied under the stars one night and one morning as we looked across the country's rolling green land. We were going to stay at the Madonna Inn, but chose this place instead....we were so glad we did. The rooms are quiet, clean & comfy. Sally even gave me a jar of homemade jam for my birthday! There is so much more to say....but you will have to experience it for yourself! :-)

I picked Bridge Creek Inn after not finding a room at typical hotel/motel places in the area. I am glad I did -- the stay was special and restoring. Welcome and hospitality were warm without being intrusive. Breakfasts light and delicious.

Just what the doctor ordered. A peaceful and relaxing getaway. Vineyards, beach and downtown SLO a quick drive away. Gene and Sally are very friendly and they make you feel welcomed.

Gene and Sally were wonderful hosts. They were there when you needed them but we had our privacy. The house was spacious but very comfortable. Fun wine hour with great conversation. Wine recommendations superb. The sauna in the Golden Gate room was Hot.....hot....hot... . Bridge Creek was a true sanctuary..... The perfect weekend getaway from a busy week.

The most relaxing place we have stayed. The scenery is gorgeous and we had a small deck off our room from which to enjoy it. The wine hour hosted by Sally was lovely and their suggestions for dinner for both nights were perfect. Also suggestions for wine-tasting worked out well. Our room was comfortable and the living room was available for reading or games. Would go back in a minute!

the help is nice, they have a wine hour every night and breakfast is good. they have a game and puzzle table and an outdoor spa. the setting and the house is beautiful. there are only 2 rooms each with a bath.

It's a lovely house. The owner is a fine cook and she and her husband are imaginative hosts. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the scenery is gorgeous.

The inn is a beautiful house that truly lives up to its photos. We have stayed here six times and plan on coming back many more times. The hostess, Sally, is a true gourmet and has made our stay so special each time, from her little touches to the perfect dinner recommendations. It has become our favorite getaway for our anniversaries.

Wonderful place, lovely in every way.

Well I was all set to write a detailed review but I think I'll just let you read the note I left for hosts Sally and Gene in their guestbook. "How did you arrange all this? Eucalyptus tossing its green trusses, cows nibbling gently at the loam. The clouds leave their cotton tails in the air and somewhere a hawk is calling me to task. Oh the exquisite morning fare, a red and white rose to complement the aroma of sage and fresh strawberries. This you do with eyes closed. But it's your grace, saffron and orange and pale gold that glitters like an unspect coin; this is the gift you give-- this is what I take home.

We chose Bridge Creek Inn for our 25th wedding anniversary and greatly enjoyed our visit. The building is beautiful and the location is very quiet. Sally and Gene are great innkeepers and the late afternoon wine and "goodies" hour is a real treat. Excellent value for the amenities provided. We look forward to our next visit!

I was welcomed with wine and snacks upon arrival, and breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. Innkeepers reside in separate house on the property so there is plenty of space and privacy. Views are gorgeous, stars at night are amazing, and you are in close proximity to vineyards. Highly recommended for indivisuals or couples, and I can't wait to come back!
