    • Directions to property:
Directions from the East, Including Oakland Airport, Via the Bay Bridge Take Highway 80 towards San Francisco, and cross the Bay Bridge. As you are crossing the bridge, merge left so that you are in the far left lane by the time you are about three-quarters across the span. After you have crossed the bridge, exit 80 at Fifth Street, which is a left lane exit. At the light on the Fifth Street off ramp, merge softly to the left onto Harrison Street. Go one block and make a right turn at Sixth Street. Four blocks later Sixth Street intersects Market Street, a major thoroughfare. Go across Market Street, where Sixth changes it’s name and becomes Taylor Street . Don’t be alarmed. You are not lost, you are just in a part of town that looks worse than it is. Continue on Taylor for seven blocks and make a left turn on Sutter Street. The Mithila Hotel is two and one-half blocks further at 972 Sutter Street, on the right side of the street at the beige awning. Directions from the North on Highway 101 Take 101 South towards San Francisco. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Take the Lombard Street exit, and proceed on Lombard for approximately 1 mile. At Van Ness, turn right. Go 14 blocks to Bush Street and make a left, using the left turn lane at the intersection of Bush and Van Ness. Continue on Bush for 6 blocks; make a right turn onto Jones Street. Head down the hill for one block to Sutter Street and make left onto Sutter. The Mithila Hotel is on the right side at 972 Sutter, under the large beige awning.

After you successfully merge into the left lanes, take the first exit, Ninth Street. The Ninth Street exit empties on to Bryant Street. Travel across Bryant Street and stay on Ninth Street for five blocks until you get to Market Street. This is a major thoroughfare. Go across Market Street. Ninth Street changes its name to Larkin Street. Stay on Larkin Street for eleven blocks. Make a right turn on to Post Street. Within two blocks make a left on to Leavenworth Street. Make an immediate left on to Sutter Street. The Mithila Hotel is a half block on the right side at 972 Sutter Street, under a beige awning.

These photos do not say the real story. It's a dump. No continental breakfast just old pastries. The place wreaks with dirty smells. The carpets were dirty we had bed bug bites all over our arms and legs. The noise was incredible. They penalize you if you check out early one hundred dollars.. no wonder once there you see what a dump you've been booked into. The management was horrible when we complain about the room next door; three hookers and johns all night we suddenly were told our television was bother other people. Redirection! I have photos if I can post them I will. There was also bodily fluids left in the bath tub really makes you want to take a shower.. yuk! Dirty bedding, dirty carpets, dirty furnishings.. never, never again.

Although reasonably priced the Mithila Hotel fell short of reasonable expectation in several areas. The 'breakfast' was a few store bought muffins and some coffee. The service was adequate except I was never able to take a bath since they were not able to fix my tub. Overall a low quality stay that I would not repeat.

This is the "worst" hotel I've ever stayed in my life. Why do they ad this kind of horrible motel at BedandBreakfast.com? Shame on you!!! There are lots of moisture and dust in the room. It is not a surprise considering that even when it was raining outside, two windows in the room are wide open. I wanted to check out earlier than expected but they didn't allow "early chek out" and refused to return the rates for the next couple of days I would be supposed to stay. If you don't mind humid dust filled room and terrible service in the motel which doesn't even allow early check out, this is the place to go.

There was moisture around the bathtub and window, ants in the bathroom, dust, we stayed there a week and found other’s belongings under the bed when we left (vacuum???). Breakfast is just small muffins and old coffee. Worst of all, we got fleas bites! Our advise: don’t go there.
